    I've had some time in the past week to work on some building, so I decided to finally give in to the siren's song of those Ziploc bags filled with pieces and started the hall section of @KevBrickstruct 's booklet 3 for Helm's Deep.

    @Recce Did you get the actual sets or just build them from your own parts collection? It looks like if you were able to get all the sets then you also got a nice display base too!

    I build with my own parts, the models only release 1 per week and now is week 2.

    And yes, if you collect all 5 of them starting from the first one, you can redeem the free grey coloured base. But that means need to make weekly purchase of at least S$80 for 5 weeks!

    Just completed bags 1 to 4 of the Saturn V. From what looks to be a ridiculously flimsy build to start, as the inner and outer parts of the fuselage come together, it looks to be surprisingly solid.

    Just finished bag 10 of Saturn V. That's a strong hold between sections 1 and 2 of the rocket when clipped together - I was sure I was going to break something when I separated them again.

    Did #31062 a few nights ago.
    I can sometimes build and watch TV, but by the time I finish other stuff I'm often tired enough to do one or the other.
    Started working on the huge MegaBloks Enterprise again two nights ago. Sorting and bagging the pieces did make it easier to contain the mess and find pieces, as I'd hoped.
    I don't have any more LEGO sets in my backlog; maybe I'll finally get to working on a MOC idea. Yet that will involve going through piece storage in my bedroom rather than taking a kit to the TV room.

    Have only been building minifigs as I'm finally getting around to removing the Super Heroes from their boxes. Haven't been able to open #6866 to get Deadpool out of there.

    first technic set in years and it seems to take a long time to build. ok, it's the claas xerion 5000. still, modulars didn't feel as long and yet it is surprisingly quick to find the pieces needed for the claas even though the build is divided in only 2 parts.

    I also think there is a problem with some pins which can be really hard to push in pin holes (or pull from), especially that small connector with a pin and a pin hole

    I'm actually also building #42054 CLAAS Tractor. And, @Fauch, I just said to my wife that it's surprisingmy easy to locate parts. Brought our son home from the NICU this morning so we can't venture far from the living room. Been looking forward to a huge, uninterrupted chunk of time to build it and the rest of the queue.

    Yeah speaking of that the file's bugged when I tired swapping around the Simpson's garage for this. Joy now I can't open it to make the interior. :(

    If anyone can open this LXF and delete the garage/debug it that'd be great because then all the work's for nothing.

    My copy of LDD does not even want to open the file. It closes automatically.

    Just finished the tractor part for #42054. The motorized cab rotating function doesn't seem to work. Anyone that's built it have any thoughts on what I missed?

    Un-building #8466 as I bought it second hand, built up. 2 parts were broken, while taking it apart at least one extra has broken. Hmm hmm.

    I'm not that far, but at least the turntable rotate when I turn the switch up or down.

    I think I had an error with gears and stuff inside not aligned the right way before building the switch, but it was quick to fix

    Finished this with my son last night. #3816 Glove World

    I bought a bin of Lego a few months back and this is set was scattered among the pieces. Only missing a couple of pieces that I was able to source from my son's collection. Also missing two mini-figs. Oh well! When I do the math on what else was in the box, this only ended up costing me ~$1. 

    Fun little build that my son greatly enjoys.

    Fixed my CLAAS Tractor. Was missing one of the black 12-tooth gears that connected the driveshaft to the gears that operated the cab. Of course, it was buried deep in the gearbox but luckily I didn't have to rip the entire thing apart. Very cool set. Looks great on my Technic shelf.

    I started the Wright Flyer #10124 the other day. It's bigger than I would have though and I only have the frame done so far.

    Surprisingly, I don't even have a few pieces of some parts! Plus had to search high and low for the parts I need in my messy house (if you've seen a photo of my house posted some time back you'll know) as they're either in some sets that are assembled or I need to find the sealed set and open it to get the parts.

    There are a lot of people with over 1 million bricks, I don't think I'll ever be anywhere near that. 

    The point of the post is to share what we're building, if there is concern on the specific words I'm using I apologise. 

    I'll try to phase my sentences carefully in future post. Thanks.

    done with book 1 and I'm loving it. 
    I knew from the box, it was going to be a great build.

    ^ I agree that the Artic Roller is a great set. I built it last week after receiving it as a Father's Day gift. An extra minifig would've been nice, given the RRP, but it's one of the nicest looking vehicles I own.

    I just finished building #70902 Catcycle Chase. The Minifigs are great and the bike is a nice build, but the shop front is a little lacking. I've decided to try and expand it with my first modular MOC; wish me luck!

    After moving and having my Lego in storage for nearly 2 years, I'm finally starting to rebuild and reimagine my Lego city. I am trying to decide what to do with the tables. I have 2, and I can't decide to make two separate layouts (one being the main downtown and one focused on an amusement park and rural homes, or somehow combine the tables into one bigger layout. (That sheet of wood lays across the white table to create more area.) Thoughts?

    I'm in exactly the same conundrum; to build 1 large area (which will basically be too large to allow for proper play), or to split it in a City and an Outskirts/Coastal area. Therefore, I'll be following your progress closely!

    To return to the topic of this thread: I've just finished off the XL-version of 31051 (changed from 25cm height and 6x6footing to 40cm height and 8x8footing and an enlarged cabin):

    Due to the use of the macaroni-pieces the entire assembly is quite fragile to move around; the "inner" (made up of 1x4's etc) walls threaten to collapse. Maybe will fit some "strengthening-beams" at a later stage, might this prove to remain an issue.

    At least now it has a proper size in comparison to the Modulars, and the "man with camera" can actually stand behind the railings.
    Next up: either 60169 or 31067.

    As will I. I'm starting to finally build my City this summer, so we can compare progress and complain and vent when frustrations arise and see what similar or different solutions are found. Once my big house projects are finished, hopefully by my birthday early August, I plan on getting it built. Looking forward to upcoming double points to order more sidewalk tiles. Despite my wife's objections, I'm not using folding tables - my plan is to build a layout similar to the dad from the Lego Movie, made from wood. The nice thing is, a standard sheet of plywood is 4'x8' so all you need are 8' 2x4s to support it and cross brace it. Plus, if your basement floor is uneven, a fold up table will wobble pretty badly and the feet tend to not be big enough to securely hold pads to keep it level. With a wood-built table, if you use 4"x4" posts as legs, there is enough surface area on the bottom to securely tack in felt pads to both balance the table as well is not destroy your floor. 

    My plan is one big U-shaped layout, with the modulars (all 12!) in the middle and the one leg as downtown with my skyscrapers and the other leg functioning as residential housing, and my old #6597 and #1682 forming an air/space-port.

    I'll keep you posted.  Looking forward to seeing the development.  I'm back to working on the pantry now.
