Thanks for the heads up! Found the last 2 in High Point NC.

TLBM items did not scan at 20% off unless they have their own sale sign and @77ncaachamps I don't think #70911 did

I was able to have my local Target price match #70905 on target.com for $45.49 and then apply the TLMB %15 to that price. With the 5% Red Card, my final cost was $36.74. Not great, but 39% off.

It didn't. I just bit the bullet, bought TLBM and got it for 15% off plus 5% redcard

I am finally ready to buy 60110 Fire Station and it's now $78.99 after being $65.99 for as long as I can remember. Any idea if the price will drop anytime soon based on usual pricing behavior?

Local target has had a box full of Series 16, 17, and LBM minifigures sitting on the clearance endcap for over a week, for the low low price of $3.99 each. Not sure they are clear on the concept of "clearance".

I picked up #70908 (TLBM Scuttler) for roughly $52 (~35% off) after asking the local Target to price match the 20% off sale price on the Target website, then getting the 15% off for the TLBM DVD purchase and the 5% Red Card discount.

Arctic Roller is still $30 though.  Is that ever going to be on sale?  :(
  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,481
^ Roller was on sale for about a week several months back, so it will probably happen again.

I missed out on it thinking they'd bring back the 20% for the TLBM release, alas it was only a 15% when you bought the dvd.

It's a cool looking vehicle. Nice that its a Target/SH exclusive.

Found several things on clearance at the Eden Prairie Target tonight:
All 30% off I'm pretty sure. I took pics but most of them were too fuzzy to read the price.

    #70322 Axl's Tower Carrier $48.98
    #60109 Fire Boat
    #31050 Corner Deli
    #42049 Mine Loader
    #42048 Race Kart
Series 6 Mixels (yellow, green, and purple ones) $3.48

I was just there yesterday after work and these weren't clearanced. Fortunately i live right across the street. What did you leave?
  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,481
^ I grabbed one Mixel I didn't have and left the rest. Seemed like there was plenty of stock. I thought about Corner Deli but 30% off doesn't look so good compared to the discounts available lately on Amazon first thing in the morning.

Ahh but Target's system uses the same SKU for ANY LEGO Minifigure no matter which series the package says it is. It seems that the minifigures will sell sooner or later without being clearanced.

I'd like to know where they go when they just disappear after never having gone on clearance.

Mixels were the same price in my part of CA (norcal) but I've seen them cheaper before ($2.50 at Walgreens).

Still, a nice cheap set for kids to build...all for the cost of a minifig!
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
I'm not a DVD collector, so the 15% deal doesn't work for me even on the cheapest edition DVD and the biggest LEGO set

Interested in #41129 and #41307 but waiting for more than 20% off

When I was in Target a couple days ago:
A couple dozen S17 on a rack in a checkout aisle - 2 rocket boy and an elf girl
They had a few Series 12 bags elsewhere, scanned at $4.89 and service desk worker wouldn't change it

  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,481
Finally found a box of S17 CMFs in the Lego aisle at the Edina SuperTarget yesterday. They also had several series 6 Mixels on clearance at $3.48. There were other clearance shelf tags but everything was already gone.

Looks like the great Target Summer Clearance is beginning, it's still only 15-30% off at this point, but lots of Ninjago, Nexo Knights, some City and Creator sets that are a few product cycles old.  There is nothing I want that I am not willing to wait until 50% off for yet at this point, but you may want to start looking!

    #70349 $16.98
    #70347 $8.48
    #42044 $11.04
    #60132 $62.98

A couple Super Hero High School sets were discounted as well.

Among all the 15-30% off clearance at my local Target was #41179 Queen Dragon's Rescue at 60% off (~$28). I wonder if it had been mislabeled because I've never seen 60% off at Target before; only 15/30/50/70/90.

    I picked up 4 41179 tonight for $28 each. I also found 7 Dr. Strange sets @ $14.98 each,

    #76060 Dr Strange $14.98

@binaryeye I think they're working from a base price of $57, I guess they reduced the price at some point. My Target had them at ~$40 which would be 30% off.

Would love to find the Doc Strange set for 15, but I know a guy who bought it from a store, and opened his box to find no figures. Buying from stores just bothers me because there is that thought in the back of my mind 'did anyone tamper with this?'

^ So you no longer buy anything from stores? Including food, which (unlike Lego I assume), you actually ingest?

No, because almost everything else that is a new item has better seals than a LEGO box.

My Target had The Ultimate Batmobile #70917 on clearance for $118.39 (I may be remembering the change bit wrong), but sadly I don't have the money for that set right now. Also, it was cheaper during the recent TRU 20% off sale so I'm still hoping for a better price.

Some DC Super Hero Girls 30% off at my local store, including #41232 Super Hero High School (which I grabbed).

According to brickseek, 3% and 4% of targets have Dr. Strange and Hero High discounted so those are some lottery finds this early

Yeah, I wish they'd put at least a little glue on the flaps just to make it obvious if it's been opened.
  • ryjayryjay Member Posts: 1,001
^ I vote for full glued down flaps with tear open strips at both ends.

Agreed, I'm tired of hearing the argument 'but we do this for collectors of the boxes' Well I think the collectors of the boxes would also like a set that was not tampered with as well.
I think they should either glue the boxes shut (and not just with 4 'dabs' of glue) OR put tape across the whole flap with LEGO logos all over the tape to prevent replacing, or at least show someone obviously cut through it to open it.

Nowadays, the concern wouldn't be the box divas but the unruly kids (adults?) who blatantly and shamelessly open packages/boxes in store.

My guess is the Mixels are Series 6 (or 5?) the construction, green and purple guys, right?

That is not the issue, the issue are those who 'buy' the set, surreptitiously remove the contents replace with whatever shakes like LEGO, then return back to the store, leaving an unsuspecting consumer who buys it, after the store blindly puts the item back on the shelf, with junk. At least with the clowns who rip the boxes open you see they ripped the boxes open.

They were the yellow (series 6), green, and purple ones. Pardon my ignorance, but I don't know the series number of the green and purple ones. I know the yellows are 6 and the reds are 8 since I have some of each.
