    I expect the next designer video to have them doing 'exploding' gestures, more proof its real and coming!

    Going a little bit on topic (I know, I'm sorry), the one thing I would really like them to change on a new version would be the way the Engines are put together.
    The original #10179 rigging and trans-blue tiled engine build always looked a bit clunky to me and was to my mind one of the worst aspects of the original.
    Something along the lines of the modifications Scottishdave on E.B. put together would be good as that is probably one of the best mods I've seen for the original set.
    Now back to where we were.

    Strange that with all this talk of explosions and Death Star box tops.... No one has commented on the Falcon itself?  Particularly the amount of 2017 parts on it (and one recoloured part that we've only seen so far in the Saturn V).

    I'm starting to agree with this.  Going over to that other place where these rumors seem to have originated, it's starting to sound a little desperate.  More just throwing it at the wall so that the year it comes true people can claim they had inside knowledge.  But then again, what do I know.  There do seem to be users both on that board and this board who have correctly predicted things in the past.

    If they are ever going to do it, right before a new film which features the Falcon prominently is the perfect time. I still think it is more likely than not. Something UCS is due to come out in the Fall and it is difficult to think of much else that would sell better. Lego would also get tons of publicity and hype outside the normal channels right as the holiday shopping season gets rolling.

    Yikes, people are saying the render is bad.. not sure how it can be "bad" Bluerender is pretty good and it looks really real to me! I purposely slacked on the cockpit :)

    I would be very pleased if that is the case. Fairly close must mean you got the first number right, if so that's a lot more than 10179. I cant see how there can be that many more unless there is an secondary build or an interior.

    ^ Its only that because that is what we made it. Much like Lego it can be what ever we want it to be.

    And the designer video was primary evidence.

    ^ The design video is 'Primary' evidence of a cardboard space slug?  Of designers playing around with a mini-scale Millenium Falcon?

    What we really mean is 'direct' vs. 'circumstantial' evidence.

    Direct evidence would be a press release including words to this effect: "The Lego Group proudly announces the UCS Millenium Falcon available in November 2017."

    Circumstantial evidence would be Lego designers playing with cardboard cut outs and you implying that it is related to a future set release.

    Well either its evidence of a cardboard space slug and a cardboard Minecraft hat.

    Or

    Its evidence of a Minecraft D2C and a Star Wars D2C

    Given this fits with the eurobricks rumour of a new UCS MF with figures based around this scene and the Minecraft D2C we have seen in a press release I think its safe to assume the next design video will not be a UCS cardboard space slug.

    You could make the same argument for a UCS Space Slug, based on the same circumstantial evidence.

    Or it could just be two designers playing with cardboard cut-outs.

    And if the 'rumour' is based on two designers playing with carboard cut-outs, that's speculation.

    We had a coming soon page on Lego.com

    We had a clue in the designer video.

    At what point will you stop disrupting this discussion and allow us to talk about what could well be the biggest Lego set ever.

    ^^^ Okay, so let's examine that rumor.  What kind of credibility can you give a rumor that predicts some combination of Han, Chewie, C-3PO and Leia?

    That's the minifigure lineup for #4504 (sans an 'Assault on Hoth' snowtrooper).

    Frankly, I think the only information that is not clearly speculation is the screenshot of the Lego Retail Store, and the [email protected] search page.

    (This thread ought to be renamed: 'UCS MF Speculation and Circumstantial Evidence')

    And thank you for sharing the identities of the moderators.  I think I now have direct evidence to identify them.

    And as the Forum Fuzz, shouldn't you be busy chastising those members posting false rumors?  Doesn't that defeat the discussion in this thread?

    I think it has already run its course.  But I'm sure someone will post the actual box or find some other tidbit of circumstantial evidence.

    (It's just as likely the designer video has to do with the miniature Space Slug set.  Who knows?)

    This thread  is the natural successor to the best thread to ever exist on any message board since the dawn of time (or at least the Internet).  Nothing quite beats the heady mix of rampant speculation, real money, and ABS :).

    At this point, I'm starting to expect TLG to troll us all and come out with a press release in October, saying 'UCS MF, available tomorrow!'.

    Or just put it on shelves in the stores without doing a press release, and watch the fan forums explode.

    So if the BB-8 model mentioned in the General Star Wars thread is correct, that certainly dampens the possibility of a Falcon UCS doesn't it?

    ^ No BB-8 is just a normal set I believe not a D2C.

    It is set number 75187 and 88, 89, 90 are all Last Jedi sets so think it is part of that range.

    Possible, OTOH UCS sets don't really get a "special" set number. And haven't the sculptures always been D2C/UCS in the past? This BB-8 is on the lower end of piece count for a sculpture of course. Still hard to imagine seeing it on the shelf of my local supermarket.

    So, this #75187 BB-8 might dash any hopes for a new UCS MF this year. Or not.

    I think the designer video is a hint towards something, but I sort of feel like it could just as much be a UCS TIE Bomber as it could be a new UCS Millennium Falcon.

    Considering the apparently poor sales and deep discounts of the UCS TIE fighter, I would doubt LEGO is anxious to jump into a UCS TIE Bomber

    Which is crazy to me.  I really enjoyed the UCS TIE.  

    Made too many of them or just not super popular?

    I think they lost some interest in it due to the scale, it being larger than minifig scale. same thing cursed the Delta fighter. both models are very nice but the over sized scale doesn't work well with many other ships.

    I really enjoyed building my UCS Tie and it makes a great companion piece to my UCS X-wing (the original).

    If that is true it won't drop the value of the original as much due to the lower part count and most likely size.

    Well whenever it comes out, I hope Lego takes notes of the fiasco that is the Saturn V set. Sold out online within hours, site crashes, ordering lines down, sold out in Lego stores and other retailers, etc... Imagine the mess a UCS MF would cause. Hopefully TLG would rethink the launch and offer a pre-order and a strict limit quantity.

    There's no way it could be that low, provided the cost is in fact $800. That would be a per piece price of $0.20, which is insane
