@blogzilly Exactly, that was what I was thinking of with the CC and PC boards. I'll have a play and see what I can come up with. No doubt will find I'm missing something though!
and i am happy with it.
1st the little Deli Van, use to deliver the sandwiches to office workers who don't have time to leave there work place for lunch.

and now the main build.Well done! :-)
Any opinions?
I now have 6 Corner Deli's, so I might try a modular version myself.
I'll have to be careful not to lose the "spirit" and "feeling" of the original set.
LDD results after about 30-45 minutes? Much better.
The 'overhang' is for the balcony. The rear section that 'juts' out is for the stairwell access to the upper floor. Integrated is an 'externally' facing post box, so the flat dwellers can collect their post without going outside.
I am intending to build a 3rd story but I realized I didn't have enough dark tan so I stopped, for now. Here it is against the Green Grocer. It's a bit squat against a full-size modular.
But I already have so many med blue buildings, it's a tough sell.
Either way, keep up the good work. It looks neat enough and should blend in pretty well with other modulars.
I am using a grey 48x48 baseplate.
I have an outside eating area like the original.
Inside there is a bread and cake baking oven.
4 tables of Fruit and Veg including one dedicated to Asparagus. I also have a table of Pineapples and another for Goji berry's etc.
There is also a table of cakes. I am also going to add a Bread table soon.
It is very nearly time for photo's.
I have a Chestburster, couple of loose Modulars, some Winter themed stuff and more sitting in my queue and I still haven't even set up my building area yet since we moved in. I'm still working on living spaces in the house and my office in the basement.
Garage is jammed full of stuff that still hasn't even been integrated into the house yet. Yikes!
Looks like my garage a few months back after moving.
At this point I can only dream of one day having to worry about getting my stuff integrated into a house.
i know i will look.
i have yet to see a set this coming year that may be a good candidate for this type of Moc.
so your are all good.
at anyone reading this.
hell feel free to post any lego set turned modular's like this project for Corner Deli in this thread.
I have four Corner Deli's and am also trying to MOC it.
Have added a 32x32 baseplate and really don't want to add any other bricks. Want to make a "full size" modular but that's pretty hard. (lots of windows, not much 1x* bricks)
Current situation is a Corner Deli, with an apartment above with two balconies and access to the roof, which has a little shack.
Is my first MOC after just picking up Lego again after many years. Left when I was 12 or so.
Progress is slow, have limited time, but loads of fun.
Gonna try to put up some photo's later.
I have three boxes opened so far, and I think it's going well. I started with two boxes and a 16x32 plate, but will be adding the third box and keep the same plate.
I'm kinda resurrecting this thread based on how many of us have gotten this lately.
Keep an eye on Amazon, I think their 'limiting' even has a limit and you may be able to buy again if they get down to that price.
Obviously, work in progress and for the first floor only. I am thinking of reducing the back of the deli by four studs (area of 4x16) in order to save bricks to finish five whole layers of the brown bricks. I'll still need another layer to finish the bottom floor.
Working on this, I realize how a 'corner' building (definitely on a 32x32) works best since there's more windows and lighting and more options... But we can't have that many corners...
With all of these $19 delis from Walmart, I really have no excuse for not working on a modded version of this set at some point in the near future.
@josekalel That mod is coming along nicely. I know you had mentioned in a previous post that you were thinking about having it as a corner building but there can only be so many corners on a street: my thought for it is to have an entranceway to a park next to the building so the deli can be a "corner" but not at the end of the street. Next to the park entrance, I will create a fenced-in area for outdoor seating at the deli.
What I realized is that even with three boxes opened (1,401 pieces), there's barely enough bricks to do a decent two-story building in a 16x32.
