I found one of the Friends polybags. Didn't register in the computer which meant, it's up to CS to determine the price, which most likely meant I wasn't going to get it at $0.39 or cheaper.

If Goodwill has them, I'll be lucky to find them for $1.09 or $0.79 or $1.49 based on whoever is pricing them...

I went to a store and the price didn't ring in the price checker, and for me the hassle of dealing with CS is not worth it.

If CSR uses the red "my device" they can see the lowest price is $0.39 and they usually honor that price or go to customer service.

you know it all depends on the CSR!

Last time I found a couple of old polybags that weren't in the system I went up to customer service and they would let me buy them. So it's definitely a YMMV thing. Almost wanted to take the 50 police car polys up there the next time I was in just to see what they would do.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but a couple weeks ago I scored five green Duplo baseplates for 50% off.

Sounds like the same 50% off deal I got on those at the local Target

Found #76055 Killer Croc and #31051 Lighthouse Point on clearance. Lighthouse was only $32.54 so I grabbed two.

^Thanks. My in store price shows normal pricing, but the Target app shows your prices you got. Time to price match!

Picked up the #76045 Kyptonite Interception (Batman, Batmobile, and two henchmen) for 30% off (about $17). Currently is $22 at Amazon.

Check the children's video section, end cap, probably facing back wall.
They have a Lego display of DVDs with some sets, a few maybe on clearance.

    Question:

Does Target price match with Amazon items if it is a Prime Member Exclusive?
  • red237red237 Member Posts: 335
^ they do not, though some don't doubke check.

Was that on clearance?  Had my eye on that one for a while and $23 is still a tad too high in my opinion.  Brickseek says all in my area are still at that price point.

Yes. I believe it was discounted during the last wave of discounts that included super hero sets. Check those end caps in the DVD section.

BTW, I didn't use Brickseek. The red label and the in-store scanner reflected the sale.
Hopefully it's true where you are!

    @teal93mr2

i went to another nearby Target and the #76045 was at the $23 price you saw on Brickseek. So, YMMV sadly.

@77ncaachamps Figures, guess I'll have to wait and hopefully get lucky!  Thanks for checking.

1.19 or 1.99 is still good for a polybag with a figure.
Saw some mixels on a clearance shelf unlabeled but scanned at 3.50 (what is it with Target and 30%?) not cheap enough to part out but I want #41562 Trumpsy

How is that a problem? I much prefer the predictable and regular methods of Target to the ridiculous inconsistency of Wal-Mart.

Edit: what I do like about Walmart is they are often so bad at clearance that stuff won't get marked down with a sticker but still ring up cheap so I get a good amount of deals from their incompetence.

^ Yes, which annoyingly makes me want to scan everything just in case. Instead I usually look for anything already discounted, old, or anything that looks "out of place" and scan those.

Just found a piggy pirate ship for $30. I was actually kind of shocked. The closest Target typically gets cleared out pretty quickly.

Anyone seen CMF 17's at their local Targets yet?
  • canon03canon03 Member Posts: 364
No.  Brickseek shows 300+ at my local store, but they only have S16 and TLBM...reportedly even in the stockroom.
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@Thoughtsonblocks as of Thursday last week they weren't at my local Targets according to the LEGO employee who stocks the Target shelves. Brickseek generally doesn't work for CMFs as they share a DPCI number.

Found some at one of the smaller Targets in my area yesterday. Haven't seen any at any of the others.

Nothing new this week. Hopefully I won't check again later this week but I probably will.

Many sets aren't worth it to me until they're more than 30% off.

WalMart is random. I make a lot of use of the price scanner nearest toys in both stores.

Yes. Both my Target and Walmart have them. Grabbed a 10 quickly felt, suspiciously fat polys. Got 1 rocket kid, 1 elf warrior, 1 fairy kid, 4 corn guys, and 3 aerobics instructors! Beware the big hair piece!

That would not be much of a deal, now would it?

#76054 is the correct number as @elspankdog pointed out. Thanks.

#76055 is also on clearance in some stores. I got one @ $35 a couple days ago
  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
The store I visited (Las Tiendas, McAllen) had A LOT, maybe about 100+, of #30276 First Order Special Forces TIE for less than $2.00 each on clearance. Nothing else of note, but I still got to visit a few more today.

Cartwheel deal for 15% off plastic storage expiring today
They have some with blue and light green lids which helps me sort
They do have S17 now but I didn't get my identification guide together yet

@Astrobricks I have found series 17 at North St. Paul and Roseville Targets, also at the Maplewood TRU- so they are around here (or at least in the east metro).
  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
Ymmv of course, I got two of these...

I had seen that they had been $9.00 at Walmart at one point but never saw any in store. I also saw this, didn't get any...

I generally pass on constraction sales as well. They aren't as good a deal as regular sets at the same discoutn rate because of all the specialized pieces.

Had a chance to look through the S17 display. About 80 bags, presumably what was left from 2 or maybe 3 cases
Picked out 12, got 4 Elf Maiden, 3 Rocket Boy, Vet, Highwayman, Hot Dog Vendor, Retro Spaceman, Connoisseur. meant to get Chef instead of Retro Spaceman but very good for a series I'm not used to feeling.

I thought Doctor Strange's Sanctum was gone for good as it is sold out at S@H and at the Lego store and I had missed my chance to get it (was waiting for a sale). However stopped by Target and they still had their shelf full of this set.

Found #75824 Pig City Teardown for $11.98 via Brickaeek. Went into the store and found it was marked and rang up for $27.98. Scanned the barcode on the Target app and it said... Available at this store for $11.98. Thankfully they honor their online prices.
