I guess I'm the only one lost here? "LEGO construction sets shown here" - what is "here"? I see nothing. And what are those 6-digit numbers?
  • NeilJamNeilJam Member Posts: 272
    edited February 2012
The 6 digit numbers are TRU item numbers for these sets:
    Ninjago Cole's Tread Assault (9444)
Star Wars Rebel Trooper Army Pack (8083)
Bricks & More Police Building Set (4636) & Safari Building Set (4637)
Disney Pixar Cars 2 - Radiator Springs Lightning McQueen (8200)
    Duplo Emergency Helicopter (5794)

    Ah, thank you!

Sorry. I tried to copy it off of the browser but I guess it didn't work. Oh well, never said I was a computer wiz.

Just wondering, but does TRU ever carry the modular buildings inside their store or do they only sell those online?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ My understanding is the only store which stocks them is their flagship store at Times Square. Or you can occassionally find them at a store if someone returns an on-line order.
  • vader34mtvader34mt Member Posts: 88
i'm hoping that TRU has the modulars in stock online for the next BOGO 50% off sale

well me and everyone else on this website...speaking of which if it happens...can the people with a stock of 20 of each modular stashed away for future sale leave some for those of us that dont even have 1 to build yet?
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
^ you only have to wait another 4+ hours...

And as for the shot you threw across the bows of the speculators here, I can certainly appreciate the sentiment but this is not the place for that.
  • vader34mtvader34mt Member Posts: 88
sorry it's more of a playful shot...doesn't come out the way I want on the internet I suppose

I understand why people do what they do...I'm not much for buying and reselling but I don't hold it against the people that do

and is there really a BOGO this week?
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
^ In 3 and a half hours and change...
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ Can you share more? What themes included/excluded? The ad doesn't appear to be on their website as it usually is.
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
    ALL LEGO
    Excludes Friends, Mindstorms,Star Wars

    :o)

I've been out but will post sale soon...
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
    ^ thank you much

Pet shop is not in stock to ship, but GE and FB are
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Diagon Alley went out of stock earlier today
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
    seems fishy doesnt it?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Nah - I'm not buying the conspiracy theories. DA has been coming in and out of stock a lot recently. It's hard to find, and many people probably think it's EOL'd.
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
I got mine during a BOGO so no conspiracy theories for me...

Been keeping an eye out on the FB on Amazon for a while now. I've got a couple Amazon gift cards which will bring the FB under MSRP. But since TRU might be offering BOGO, I'm going to wait. Keep your hands off my FB and GE. ;)
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
^ How does a gift card bring the price of something under RRP??? Gift cards are real money, right? :P
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
I got them for free. ;) Well some of them. I like to think I'm getting a deal. haha. By the way, are there any TRU coupon codes available at the moment?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ I've been scouring for coupon codes for TRU or FAO - nothing found yet.
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
I'm gonna snag a GE and a FB at midnight, I don't have either yet and now is as good a time as any
  • vader34mtvader34mt Member Posts: 88
are we sure theres a sale that goes live at midnight?

and what's midnight? eastern? pacific? theres a big difference
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
I have no idea I'm just going off of @Yellowcastle 's information
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
Midnight EST. 9:00 PST. I've heard that TRU is usually late with updating their site for a sale. So you might not be able to snag those modulars until tomorrow. And @choob99 I don't have any modulars as well, so I think tonight might be a great time to do so.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ True. Lately the sales seem to be starting in the morning. Used to be midnight.
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
I'm actually shocked that TRU doesn't mark up the modulars, one of the only things you can get there for RRP
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Best deal may be the Winter Post Office. It's marked down $10 to start with (shh... don't tell them). It was really never in stock before Xmas.
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
By the time I wake up over here on the pacific coast, all the good stuff will probably be gone, if not already sold old out prior to the sale.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
    Deal is live now.
  • vader34mtvader34mt Member Posts: 88
    not for me it isnt...

Isn't it a limit of two? Darn TRU and their tricks.
  • thecleatorthecleator Member Posts: 70

I had to delete what was in my cart.. log out and then reload TRU site to get it to show. Cant add 2 of FB or GE but I still got it 1 of each ordered.
  • kkskks Member Posts: 60
just picked up two tower bridges with the BOGO, these have been quickly out of stock or not available the last few sales.
  • vader34mtvader34mt Member Posts: 88
    got the modulars ordered...awesome
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
I've had no issues since 12:05 thanks to @sidersdd

Some Power Functions stuff is discounted as well, which stacks with BOGO. Train Motor ($9), Control Switch ($5), and Extension Cable ($3).
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Dang Speech Bubbles aren't considered LEGO sets, so they aren't part of the BOGO.
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
^ Too bad since you seem to be the Forum's supplier on these. :o)

^^^ I'm pretty sure that's not the power functions motor...I've been staring at that for months. And picture for the AAA battery box is the actual power functions motor. I've never ordered it because I'm not sure which I'll get.

thanks for the tip on the winter post offices. 2 for $90 works out to be about 36% off RRP.
  • vader34mtvader34mt Member Posts: 88
thanks to everyone here for the hints at the start of the sale...particularly to yellowcastle for the heads up that it was coming tonight!
  • thecleatorthecleator Member Posts: 70
Thanks Yellowcastle and Sidersdd. My poor credit card is worn out though lol
