Arocs RC inventory and instructions?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have an inventory of the parts and motor type and controller needed to turn my Technic Arocs into a remote controlled unit? Anyone have instructions? I'd like to add the servo type unit under where the front 4 wheels are...

Many thanks.

    No one willing to help?

I wouldn't assume that no-one is willing to help, but you have a pretty specific request.  Those of us that like Technic tend to be in the minority compared to 'regular' Lego, and MOC'ing Technic is a considerably more complex affair.

So I suspect that the fact that nobody has offered up the info you want is that they don't have it.  I love building Technic, and I've certainly built the Arocs, but I wouldn't know where to start as regards converting it into an RC unit.

I'd keep an eye on Technic specific sites, or see what someone like Sariel has been up to.

Has anyone seen those Lepin Arocs and that massive set based on a moc of a container truck with side opening cargo flaps?

Lepin can die in a fire, especially when they rip off current TLG sets like the Arocs.

However on your original question @sf1378: did you check Rebrickable?
There's lots of Technic MOC's/mods on there, including of the Arocs.

There's e.g. these instructions for a RC version, partially based on PPUNG's mod: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-6228/Muuss/42043-b-mercedes-benz-arocs-1845-advanced-rc/

Also for copycat-ing on MOCs. and i always redact the middle 3 letters since that name is equal to a heavy curse word for me

Thanks. Could these instructions for the B Model be used to rc motorise the front 4 wheels on the A Model?

Wouldn't that be copycatting old Ole Kirk too, though... ;-)
