Thanks for the tip. Walmart in Milford, CT had a dozen @$10 each. Bought 6, left 6. Comes up in Brickseek with UPC 673419250245 - Walmart#2954 in Norwalk,CT shows 16 available @$12
There were six and decided only to get three, since I wanted others to take advantage of the deal ;). I'm still not sure if it is a mistake on their part, or they wanna get rid of them.
I was about to drop some cash
The cheapest I've seen.
Needless to say, sold out now at that price. Was it through Walmart, or third party?
Pick-up in-store has been a hit and miss for me...last Thanksgiving I ordered one of the cheap TVs online to be delivered in-store (ironically enough, I still ended up going to the store on Thanksgiving opening night...always fun).
The item gets to the store but it's not sorted out, so I wait one day, then another, then I decided to contact customer service. They tell me to call the store so that they could 'scan' the item so that it shows that it is available for pick-up (remember, the item has already been delivered to the store), but instead I decide to go to the store...as always, big mistake.
They 'could not find' my TV, even though I showed them that the TV had already been delivered to the store and so on; all this, while I am seeing a box that has the TV that I ordered behind the counter where the lady was trying to help me...I argued, back and forth, couple of minutes, and then they 'gave me' one that was 'another customer's TV', blah blah blah.
My theory is that they sold or gave someone else my TV (or maybe someone was gonna make it 'disappear') or that after three or so days, they still had not opened boxes (which I don't think happened). Either way, a box for a 55" TV is bigger than you think it is.
TL;DR: Walmart's pick-up in-store feature is usually a hit or miss.
Problem was the seals were all broken. (They could be easily broken)
I had to check if the bags were all there (they were).
Thanks for letting me know, I just ordered. Although I have not seen all the Freemaker episodes, it is a highly entertaining show, I love it. Had been waiting for a good price for this set but I guess less than $30 with tax is OK.
They are no longer available to ship, but my local store had 2...now 1 :-)
I live less than 3.5 miles away in the same street, it's not much better...you get all the temptation and you 'drop by' to see if there is anything new in the clearance section haha
It's also been a while since I have seen good deals at clearance at any of the six Walmart stores I usually visit every couple of weeks for deals. What's worse is that some items on clearance are still more expensive than what Amazon has them for.
Will wait til I see em at Target and at least get redcard discount. Might go back to WalMart for them when I have a better idea of what the rares are and how to identify them
Lego doesn't like to pay overtime or give the Merchandisers extra time to run these events on weekends. You also have to remember there is one Retail Merchandiser assigned to a number of stores in the same region, so coordinating make-and-take events can be difficult if advertised for the same day.
Used it on #21030 and #21028 for now.
