50% off dimensions (online at least).  Must be trying to price match the GameStop sale.  Made my life easier as I was going to have them price match GameStops prices so I could get the TRU rewards!

    Saw it in-store as well.

It's not much of a deal but the Toys R Us near me (Long Island NY) had the small red and blue creative boxes for 3.99 instead of $4.99. It was only the red and blue boxes.

Toys R US in US is now advertising Batman Movie CMFs for $2.99, in store only. It is pretty well hidden on the website, found it through the "all deals" page. The link below might help if store staff has a hard time finding the posted sale price.

Series 16 CMF also ring up for $2.99.  I assume Disney do as well.

I can confirm all CMFs are $2.99 in store, went yesterday as was somehow able to complete my set of LBM from the small pile they had in a bin.  They had a few S16s and Disney as well.
  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
Some Star Wars sets were on sale, as well as Dimension. Otherwise, the only good stuff is the CMF sale.

Making a rare trip over by a TRU, maybe I'll get lucky with cheap CMFs, most of the figures are worth it at that price, which avoids trouble of identifying them in store
Sounds like they have little else on sale except Dimensions

Which TRU on the Island did you stop at? Valley Stream?
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,354
    Found 5 Disney and 35 S16
  • MynattMynatt Member Posts: 632
Picked up a few of series 16 and Batman series with the sale price. The store I went to still had a good supply of 16, smaller supply of Batman and 2 full boxes of Disney.

Thanks for the heads up on the 30% off.  The #75913 Ferrari truck comes out to $76.  Has this been cheaper in the past either at TRU or S@H?  I know there was a TRU promo last year for B1G140% off Speed Champions and another promo that stacked on top of it but I didn't get in on that.  There's probably not much choice anymore seeing as it's retired on S@H.  Just a shame that it has the standard TRU markup.
  • monstblitzmonstblitz Member Posts: 653
I was surprised to see the Sith Infiltrator below retail even before the 30% on TRU.  I haven't paid much attention to this set, so not sure what a good price for it is, but $52 seems decent.  Doesn't look great, but I like the minifigs.

#70325 Infernox Captures the Queen is $10.49 with the discount. There are a couple of nice parts in there, I think I need to pick some up. Plus I would get bonus hover horses to mod to other colors.

I popped for the Sith Infiltrator (again). Figs seem to be pretty good. Bought one earlier for RRP from S@H with double VIP to get some promo.

Funny how the super awesome edition of #70322 axl's tower carrier is cheaper than the regular one.

I just received notice of friends and family discount of 15% off starting tomorrow. Email says there are current Lego items on sale at 30% off that I can add to my cart tonight and then apply the additional 15% off tomorrow.  That would take the infiltrator down to $45.00 and the infernox captures the queen to $9.00...
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,837
Would be surprised to see the discounts stack, if the 30% off select sets still exists after today

Yeah, unfortunately it is rare to see promos stack with TRU. Sometimes you can get lucky at their system sees both or you can argue with the employee to try to get both, but it is not common.
  • CaptainRogersCaptainRogers Member Posts: 869
^I've only had 2 promos stack once, way back when #8964 Power Miners Titanium Command Rig was on clearance. There was a certain percentage off stacked for one day with a B2G1 on clearance. End result was 3 copies of #8964 for about $100. But like I said, that was a while ago. TRU seems to,have wisened up and doesn't allow that anymore.

I've seen sales stack with gift-with-purchase promos as recently as last year, but haven't seen sales stack with sales.

There is a Star Wars make and take event on May 6th, but you have to pre-register.
    https://reserve.babiesrus.com/events.html#/map
It's a "Micro Princess Leia" build.
When I signed up today the store had 100 spots available.

So...it's OK if adults sign up for this? Or will I have to take my friend with her daughter so I won't feel awkward??
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,833
^Im an adult and never had a problem with getting the set, but it all depends on your store.
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,833
@Tkatt any links to picture. I was able to sign up with your link, but when I went to the site regularly there was nothing.

Anyone want to guess what is in here? (I don't know.)
possible future giveaway or R2D2 May the Fourth pieces?

  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,833
^ I'll go with the May the 4th Build. Only supposed to be 100, maybe LEGO sent them prepackaged.
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,833
Anybody that signed up for the event get an email yet? Looks like I could be the only one signed up at my store as there are 99 spots left, but haven't gotten an email from them yet.

Maybe some people don't know you have to register online
  • MugenPowerMugenPower Member Posts: 638
I registered for the event but will probably call the night before/morning of the event to see if they'll allow an adult w/o a kid to participate.  I'd rather not waste the effort of going there just to be turned away.  I know for previous TRU build and take events, the ad would say it's intended for kids but I didn't see it listed on the signup page for this event.
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,833
Seeing that it's Babies R Us that's holding the event you could argue that the normal age range is older than what the store sells for.. Plus there was no age limit on the registration page.
  • ReesesPiecesReesesPieces Member Posts: 1,131
I signed up for an Easter egg hunt event and they don't even check.  Ions to even think the store employees are aware of the sign up.

Thanks for the heads up about the event. I was so curious about how it looks so googled. Good grief! I don't wanna look a gift horse in the mouth but it's kinda hideous.

I signed-up. The sign-up page made no mention of being for kids only or did it mention an age range. We'll see.

Does that little remind anyone else of Beaker from the Muppet Show?

So I guess it would've been too much to leave "feigning terror over cute, simple character builds" in 2016…  *sigh*

I see one flaw with this model, and that's that the hair seemingly doesn't cover the back of the head. Otherwise it's no scarier than a Minilander, stick figure, or 8-bit video game character. I swear, a lot of AFOLs act as though they have the fear instincts of a one-year-old who cries at their own reflection…
