20% off all Lego Super Hero, Batman, Duplo, and Minecraft this week.

Probably the best time to buy the soon-retiring Dr. Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum.

Thanks for the notice! Got myself a #76060 Dr Strange and two #70911 Arctic Rollers. One Target only had one Roller, the other had two. Plenty of Dr Strange at each.

Also grabbed a Harley Quinn LED keychain light since it was on clearance. I guess BrickSet doesn't include "gear" in its database, so I can't add it to my digital "pile" :-(

Got #76054 Scarecrow Harvester of Fear for $36.79.  Online and brickseek both still show $44.99 but they are marked and ring up $36.79 in store

Thanks. That's got to be it. Looks like I'm the first to admit I own it :) Submitted a picture. Hope @Huw likes it.

This is the first time I have seen the #70911 Arctic Roller set on sale, grabbing one ASAP!

Grabbed 70911.  Nice looking set.  Disappointing amount of minifigures for a set of that price and size, but I guess the detail makes up for it, especially at 20% off.

DC Superhero Girls not included in sale; #41235 still $19.99 on pricecheck scanner
  • Sethro3Sethro3 Member Posts: 1,016
That's how LEGO gets you. The Arctic Roller looks great, but having purchased the Batcave, I didn't need another Batman and Penguin, even if slightly different. Otherwise, picking it up on sale is a great idea!

    ^ Now you know why.

Yeah, i think some Targets went ape and bought so many of series 12, much of which they are still stuck with, that they went the opposite way and only get 1 box at all.

I can guarantee that the stores have ZERO control (or close enough to it for it to effectively be zero control) of which SKU's and the quantity of the same that they receive.  The buyers and computers control all, most of it it ratio's and formulas from what I understand. To be specific, they do not have a person going thru and entering I want store x1 to have 30 CMF's and store x2 to have 60 CMF's. My understanding is that it's based on planogram size, store volume, sales history and other factors. Plus onhands are not always accurate and can vary in either direction. Most of the time they aggregate the various CMF UPC's into the same DPCI you see on the reciept, sometimes not. Why? who knows I certainly never have.... This the same thing they do for the checklane poly's.

Target is running a BOGO 40% off deal starting today.  Basically comes to 20% off sets if of equal value.  Covers many new sets including the latest Star Wars wave by the look of it.

I was glad to see it at $10.48, then just over 2 weeks later (too late to price adjust) it goes to $8.38
May have to check this out. Perhaps return and buy another

Lakeside lodge is $19.19 online, plan to go in person and pricematch to website if need be.

BOGO 40% off (net 20% if equal value) Friends, Star Wars, City, Duplo advertised in store
It did work with Duplo baseplates, next time going to try it with Friends sets already on sale

Really disappointing to go into a Target while I was out shopping yesterday and see big signs reading "Buy One, Get One 40% Off All LEGO Building Sets", and then see the fine print that says it only applies to those four themes. I question their definition of "all"… ended up buying just a pack of gum and a box of Triscuits.

Uhmmm... the famous 'Gum a-la cracker'. Did you get bubble gum? The challenge is to blow a bubble with cracker pieces inside ;-)

Seriously, I got excited for 2 second until I saw the fine print; I guess that is how they get you. Anywho, I got the latest two Star Wars battle packs and I will be getting a couple of Microfighters Series 4 this week.

Last week the Star Wars Lego section was plastered with $10 off $50 and $25 off $100 signs and in fine print it said excludes Lego.

  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
They also had "50% off Mattel Toys" signs and in the fine print it was like 5 or 6 specific lines of things.  Thought I was going to get a couple 50 cent cars, but no dice.

Of course I checked Target.com to see if it included ALL Star Wars sets.  Alas, it doesn't included the USC sets.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,355
USC has to jack up prices to support their football program

I know you meant UCS but taking typos seriously is fun

My store has #75165 at $14.99, maybe they already fixed the $9.99 error or didn't make it in the first place.

My target had #75165 on an end cap for $16.99. I saw it marked for $9.99 on the aisle. So I picked up 5 and pointed out the error to an employee. She said Ed they'd honor the wrong price. At the register they included the BOGO discount. So if I had known that I would have got 6.

No such luck. But the BOGO 40% does include polybags, making #30401 a decent deal for minidoll and parts

Grrr, I forgot to grab the new Microfighters when I saw that sign in the store. When does the sale end? Today I suppose?

Yesterday they had 25 #30401 and I could get the discount on 20. Was rung up for 21 and immediately had to do a return. So much confusion when my total isn't what I expect. Ended up with a #30400 mixed in, that's OK though I didn't want multiples of that.

Local Target had #30400 and #30352 for 50% off in the Easter clearance section, discounted to $1.99 at the register.

I got it for the same reason: the pricing sticker on the shelf said $9.99 though the system recognizes it as $14.99.

I don't know about your state, but whatever the shelf states as the price in California, they have to honor it...then they an take the shelf tag off.

  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,567
Target in Edina MN had a #75823 Bird Island Egg Heist for $15.38 and #60111 Fire Utility Truck on sale for $28. I got the last 75823 but there were several 60111s left. Looks like they're finally clearancing all Angry Birds.

They were 30% off near me. Not many Targets have them on shelf, though.
Either they go 50% or maybe straight to Goodwill.

So they still had it marked wrong. I pointed it out to another employee. So they honored the price error so I bought all they had on the shelf.

Last year, I saw #30399 quickly go 3.49 -> 1.99 -> 1.19, must be how they get rid of (Friends) polybags. Did find a few 30400 at 1.99. I wish 30401 or 30279 would go down like that
  • bsiu922bsiu922 Member Posts: 439
that is mostly for seasonal pohlybags,  i got luck and got a few of those seasonal poly for 39cents (90% off)

The final stage of those is .39 (it goes 50%, 70%, 90%). I found over 20 at that price this year after Easter. The trick is to check up front behind the other polybags on the day they finally reach 90%. Also it helps I live close to quite a few targets.

I heard they have been marked down even further but they don't last that long at my Target. When already marked down good I buy them myself rather than miss out hoping they're still there and marked down further

Saw some sales on old sets but nothing spectacular.

I found one of the Friends polybags. Didn't register in the computer which meant, it's up to CS to determine the price, which most likely meant I wasn't going to get it at $0.39 or cheaper.

If Goodwill has them, I'll be lucky to find them for $1.09 or $0.79 or $1.49 based on whoever is pricing them...
