@JooTog, it's a great set, when Aldi had them out cheap here, I bought an extra copy just for the parts (I will confess I was thinking of turning it into a Microfighter).

@snowhitie - that hotel looks great!

@flord - loving the city hall!

I'm not building much at the moment, but managed to put together the brickheadz I was bought a week or so ago - they are very quick to build!

Received my last Bricklink order and finished #8860, perfect timing after completing the 40th anniversary tribute to the same set on the weekend

Now to build #855 another set from my youth

Very nice! I want to do the same but my #8860 is at my parents' place, unfortunately.

Just built #60119. Nice looking ferry, though we're both a bit bemused by the large studless green plates.

got a motor and I'm experimenting on some sets. gorzan's gorrilla striker thinks he can fly.

Building my TLM sets. Only had a handful of them built; now that I have a new bookcase for LEGO display, I am building the rest of them.

Put together #70809 Lord Business' Evil Lair these past couple of days and I am about to crack open #70808 Super Cycle Chase.

Fighting against "Pinhole to go"-Pieces (pin with pin hole) and other technic parts while trying to make a "Useless box" (google that term if not knowing what it means) with mindstorms

@elspankdog Welcome to the discerning group of people who collect all of a certain part! I have the bicycles as well, but you'll probably enjoy (or not!) this thread, which may give you some further ideas:

I'm slowly accumulating gems at the moment...

cool wall texture made with I think 1x1 trans tile?
I don't think I've seen this technic before

Don't you hate it when strip malls get built next to historic sites?

@BillyBricks84 a couple weeks is nothing. I find it even easier to procrastinate with fun stuff now that I'm busier with work.

    #41561 Tapsy
Tried build in a bag since it's a one bag set. Got 11 steps in before the build was getting too large compared to the space in the bag

I have most of the parts for #41560 Jamzy and #41562 Trumpsy and meant to get those together first, but it was easy to grap the sealed Tapsy.

My UCS Star Destroyer build is going slower than the first time. My sons, twin 6 year olds, have been helping me, so I haven't been rushing through it. One son helped me build the greebling for the frames that make up the hull. My other son is probably going to help me with the bridge. I'm thinking of having them put the finished bridge on the hull when it's completed.

    Hi everyone:

I received set #40252  and it inspired me to do this. It's not meant to be a bigger replica because it does not look like a beetle, but it's a cool alternate built.
I'm happy with the end product but, like all Lego things it can be modified later when Lego makes more Dark Azure parts; like a 1x2 wall panel, a 2x4 plate, etc.

    For now it will do.

UCS Star Destroyer is almost complete. I mean, it's like at a 99.99% completion level. I'm missing a 1 x 10 plate in dark grey. I've found other 1 x 10 plates, but not the same color grey.

Considering this has been in a few different storage containers over a 15 year period, I'm proud to say only about 10 bricks were missing. Of those, I found 3 of them when looking around my stuff. The others, with the exception of the aforementioned plate, I was able to raid my sons' Lego collection. I'll post pictures soon.

Finally started the number 3 bags of Brick Bank after Lord Business knows how many months. got a huge set in the mail which motivated me to get going on my backlog.
barely enough room for the already built stuff and the loose parts on my table (round, about 3 feet across)
had trouble finding some of the tiny parts in the pile, I expect that will lessen as I go along and thus have fewer parts on the table.

^ no boxes/trays to get more effective space(since you can stack those )?
    KingAlanI
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,334
I don't think I have any containers that would work for that
But I did get all of the 3 bags finished, while watching Hidden Figures. So about 2 hours for that part of the build. And often I can't pay attention to DVD and building at the same time

^ i often use shoebox lids or smaller lego boxes for the parts while building... and various other box types, too (see http://nplusc.de/ucsven/20170103_221353.jpg ) picture was taken just after sorting 5400 parts and that build required almost all boxes that i had at hand...

someone else here actually made the mistake and got a puzzle as result. never tested the large (#10212) one though if that one is solid at that spot
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,662
from a quick look at it, it will probably break if you hold it from the very top.

75094 appears to have technic reinforcement similar to 75156, but I guess it may break around the technic assembly. for 75156, maybe it is the long gear rack on the side that adds the needed extra strength.

    Endor strike team assembled

That was was a fun build. Only disappointment was that lots of the 1x1 bricks with holes in the upper fin are slightly yellowed. Is this common for new bricks? Expect yellowing when been on display, not from new in box!

I still find Han Solo's camouflage duster endlessly entertaining.  Space Cowboy in a temperate jungle with rock-chucking bears and a walking carpet.

Fold some boxes out of paper (the small white ones are made that way) or use teabag boxes. then those ontop of a shoebox lid as a tray should work

Fun with AS, done 5, only one done. Like the new pieces, love the mirror, I do agree some things could be a little bit bigger. Maybe on two 32*32 plates in total.

@KingAlanI I use an insert for a box from IKEA.
