"1 in 10,000", yeah right. I hate it when big companies feel like they can lie about everything (although in this case I don't mind as much). It might be time for me to buy a scratch off...

The BIG question is whether there's some poor bastard out there with a fancy 1 in 10,000 bag of Billund air...

Is there an echo in here? ;-p

@redarmy Totally missed that brother!  Scary how close the wording is.  Let's just say that great minds think alike (though fools never differ!).

There's Cityfying (that's a word, right?) a Friends set, and then there's this version of #41129 Hot Dog Van:

Not my creation, but something I saw at the recent Rock That Block event in Belgium.

Orders #71239 Lloyd and #71241 Slimer from Amazon earlier this morning to get my Dimensions collection 100% complete. (Well, 100% complete minus the not yet released Wave 8 ones. Nor Supergirl. Nor Green Arrow.)

Then notices that my local supermarket has all Dimensions at 50% off from an already slightly reduced price.
Cancels Amazon order. Gets sets from local store instead.

Whilst typing this gets annoyed at having Dimensions 100% complete minus Supergirl and Green Arrow. Goes to BL. Orders Supergirl and Green Arrow.

    Yay, Dimensions 100% complete!

Hardly any Bionicle there. Some Roboriders and Throwbots mixed in. Nicewhite Hau, though.

There's actually all six original Bionicles and a load of the little Bionicle villager guys (can't remember what they were called) there are two Slizers (UK not US :-P ) and one roborider

^ Actually, Turaga, village leaders. Sorry, I'm used to much larger collections of Bionicle.
  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
Man, I would have killed for those Bionicles just over a decade ago! Even though I lost all interest in Bionicle many many years ago, seeing those particular colours and shapes still fires off some mental connection about something I used to obsess over as a kid! There's something very compelling about that photo...

I'm curious though is this legit? I do see something small and gray on the lower right side perhaps a stick holding up a minifigure in the back?  Is this all a joke????: )

@piratemania7 - Astute observation, although just a cord from the lamp! There are two chrome C-3POs in the single baggie, it is quite real. Quite the unique manufacturing error.

A lot of you have provided a great marketing idea... perhaps LEGO should look into selling "Billund Air". Limited edition, of course.

Finally got a new bookcase to display LEGO sets. Started with these:

Polybags, CMF and BrickHeadz not included.
Obviously will need to reserve another shelf for the upcoming TLBM sets.

Probably for the same reason I can choose from half a dozen brands of tomato soup at the grocery store, and different brands of televisions at the electronics store.

Yes but bloc tech have clearly copied someones design!! Bit naughty -  but the fact this is the second year Poundland have sold this one Lego obviously aren't that fussed!!
  • MAGNINOMINISUMBRAMAGNINOMINISUMBRA Member Posts: 993
^ I think it's more to do with the fact that it's a rabbit (or a monkey, or a bird as the case may be).  It's difficult to argue that a Lepin Haunted House or Cafe Corner isn't a direct copy of a Lego design.  It's a lot more difficult to say that a brick built rabbit is a copy of a Lego design when it's simply a rabbit.  Both are brick built rabbits.  If you give me a choice of a thousand different bricks in 15 different colours and ask me to make a rabbit, it's going to be gray and white and look a lot like a Lego rabbit.

    Myxomatosis?
    Seriously though - I'd say it's either:
    A.  because they don't have eyes in their part inventory (though why they didn't use black studs is a question).
    B. Harder to argue it's NOT a direct copy.

Still sorting and identifying my Duplo figs....they have been multiplying like rabbits in the containers. Can't imagine how I ended up with so many! Will divide into keepers for my buildings, spares for more building, some to take to granddaughter, and some to get rid of because there are just too many. I love these little fellows with their stubby builds and perpetual smiles and the fact that THEY DON'T COME APART so you never have to look for missing pieces. Alleluia!

In other news @kioko21 bought Moana on DVD so I felt the need to build #41150 while watching the film.

goofed up with some technic pieces,  impossible to disassemble:

(red axle hidden in the lower corner of thge L-piece)..
time to get some pliers to extract the axle...

I also got the Assembly Square for my birthday but have not had the chance to build it, maybe tomorrow and Sunday. I have been trying to record the build to do a timelapse, but if that does not happen, I'll just build it.

If I am not mistaken, there should be enough "give" in that for you to slip a thin screwdriver or something between the gear and outer part, then lever the red pin out a bit.

yeah, used a thin set of tweezers to get behind the gear but initially it was still a "oh shit!"-moment...
derped: used pliers instead of tweezers on initial post...

so, it's the axle in the black gear which locks the whole thing
