Picked up a sealed #79003 An Unexpected Gathering today through LetGo for $50. Although I probably could have found this for cheaper when it was in stores during sales (damn you Dark Ages!), I'm happy with the price as I didn't desire the set enough to pay what it has been selling for on Ebay.

Ordered this year's Easter set, the Batman accessory pack, and some items from B&P from Lego themselves.

And just a smidge over 131 euros in parts from a Bricklink store, which I only placed due a 10% off voucher when you spent 35 or more.

All the Speed Champions.  Absolutely love them.  They seem to hold up to a decent amount of punishment from small hands too, which is always a bonus.

Now, to convince the wife that I need a real Porsche...

I'm still in Minecraft mode at present! After getting all but one of the new sets (returned last one damaged twice so gave up for now), I've been online looking for bargains over the last week. I've managed to pick up:
    • #21127 The Fortress @ 33% discount (needed Mint set for collection)
    • #21125 The Jungle Tree House @ 34% discount (to replace Mint set I accidentally built)
    • #21122 The Nether Fortress @ 33% discount (second one to build)
    • #21132 The Jungle Temple @ 37% discount (second one to build)
    • #21128 The Village @ 20% discount (second one to build since can't bare to open current Mint set)
    • #21123 The Cave @ 21% discount (fourth one to build and use as parts later)

Putting something back on 'owned' after being moved back to 'wanted' earlier in the year - I have (again) the New Milano.

And a couple of brickheadz. Cap and Stark.

Pulled the plug and splurged on lots of Brickmania  WW1 stuff - a Mark V heavy tank kit, some Stanhelm helmets, 2 lots of waterslide decals (French and German), and some custom moulded guns and trench detailing kit.

Captain America was the first thing that came to mind, but immediately thought about Sparrow; when I went to grab the picture I noticed the "third Cap".

Also noticed that C.A. could refer to Captain Armando (Salazar) :-P

Anywho, enjoy yout BrickHeadz! So far I have the TLBM and B&B. Will follow with PC and finally the Marvel ones.

Oh, and I'm not too happy with Belle's base being different that the rest of the series... I would have rather all of them to have the bigger base. If anything I guess it's a reason to create custom bases for all of them.

It's the next logical step for those who do the build-in-a-bag polybag challenges.

Couldn't resist a stackable 25% + 30% off discount + free gifts (the Easter bunny and Stormtrooper Sergeant) and got these:

Those discount stickers are **** to remove, but not too bothered at this price/for these sets.

#60097 City Square had been on my wish list since a while, but only after buying it did I realise it had the obligatory helicopter... Might leave that one in the bag.

Just ordered a set of series 9 mixels. That's all of them now. 81 sets in three years. I really like these sets (erm obviously) because they remind of the little sets I used to buy when #600 to #606 first came out. The difference is that if I bought a set like this every week back then I would have almost everything lego had to offer, but now 81 sets of mixels is a tiny part of what is available.

I built the ultra agents ultracopter. it has a mechanism with like 5 gears in it. can't be much more complex than that.

Ordered a handful of stuff to get the free Creator Mini VW and it was showing in my cart. Now that I have an email confirmation no mention of it. Sigh. Always something stupid with S@H. If it wasn't for promos I would never even bother.

I splurged om a second Bricklink order this month to try and get my Streamliner project closer to completion by trying to "infill" the gap between the front and rear of the loco I've already assembled. My bank must think I'm mad...

#10603 My First Bus at Marshalls for $8. gave up on waiting for them to mark it down further to $6. not a resale deal, decent price for a gift, and cousin's 4th birthday is this weekend. Already had some other DUPLO for him but I don't think he'll complain, and I like to distribute gifts quickly rather than waiting awhile til the occasion.

    -

I'm not a mechanical guy, and amongst other things this saves me money on speed champions and technic.

I avoid gotta catch 'em all with LEGO, I mainly tihnk of CMFs when I think of that, but also Mixels - only got tapsy trumpsy jamzy for my lego music collection

#21127 The Fortress for $64.36.  It's no wonder Kmart is having problems, but I appreciate the deals!

Ordered #42057 and #42061 from S@H to get the Mini VW Beetle, might have to BL a second version to match my yellow 1974 version at some point. Triple points adds nicely to my tally. Building up nectar points as well to hopefully pickup the Technic BMW bike, then I've got everything for the 40th anniversary Technic chassis.

I was going to use some VIP points, but I'm guessing if that drops the cash value below £35 you don't get the giveaway?
  • JudgeChuckJudgeChuck Member Posts: 1,591
Similar to @SeanTheCollector, I am in Minecraft-set-buying-mode at the moment, so I took a detour to the Stratford LEGO store, while on the way into the office today, and picked up the following for triple VIP points:

    #21130 The Nether Railway
    #21132 Jungle Temple

I only need #21131 The Ice Spikes from the current wave and then need to start saving for the large sets being released later this year, especially #21137 The Mountain Cave!

I also grabbed a large PAB cup with some bricks for me and some for my daughters. Of course, I also picked up the #40252: Mini Volkswagen Beetle freebie.

    All-in-all a successful morning! :-)

@JudgeChuck The #21132 Jungle Temple is definitely my favourite in the first wave of this year's Minecraft sets. I love the completeness of the building and I like the leather armour. My favourite aspect of the #21130 Nether Railway is the Magna Cubes. The curved tracks are also a great improvment!

@SeanTheCollector, I've been very impressed, overall, by this wave but especially liked The Witch Hut and The Waterfall Base from first look, so prioritised getting them, but I'm really looking forward to opening these two new sets, mainly for the reasons you mentioned above.
The Ice Spikes doesn't quite do it for me, but I'll be getting it anyway, mainly for the enchanting table.

@Speedman29 what you use in VIP points should be separate from an order being large enough for promos
@dspigel saw your " #75165 at $9.99 " post in the Target thread, hadn't noticed that in store, will check tomorrow

got 2 DUPLO baseplates from the Target sale and returned the 2 I bought at regular price a few weeks ago. also got a #31048 Lakeside Lodge $19.19 (pricematched to their own website)

Today, I got #31065 Park Street Townhouse, which I am cracking open right now, and two #31058 Mighty Dinosaurs to have all three dinos built together, which I already did (all 20% off at TRU and paid with a 15% off gift card).
  • mmozzanommozzano Member Posts: 417
Ordered #31058 Mighty Dinosaurs from Amazon, currently £8.75. Out of stock but delivery in a few weeks. Might order a few more to do what @JooTog is doing - build all 3 models at once.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,353
Ordered another brand for the first time - the whole MegaBloks Star Trek
line. MB's current licenses aren't stuff I'm interested in, and MB
isn't cheap enough to get my attention for that reason. I like how
licensed themes combine two collections. For similar reasons, LEGO Star
Wars is most of my SW merch. I get dollar bills autographed because I
already have a paper money collection.

@blogzilly and I have different philosophies on box condition. he bought my #75149 box since his got totaled. I usually prefer them flat in the recycle bin. I got Brick Bank not as expensive with a damaged box, though that time I kept the empty. #41104 was an early post dark age set, I kept the box, and use it to store some instruction books. I keep top-opening boxes like Ideas for parts storage, but that's not collecting. I got rid of my KFOL boxes because they were taking up space and got banged up in storage anyway.

did that with #31042 super soarer, especially since I got 3 on clearance. the main model looks best and there are a lot of parts the other builds don't use.

How do MBs  compare to lego? Could i get the instructions for the MB enterprise and build it from Lego or are the parts vastly different?

From what I saw of the Enterprise set one of our friends' has, there are an array of MB specific parts that TLG doesn't have analogues of. Workarounds could probably be managed for at least a few of the parts.

^I saw a local ad for these two sets as well recently. Both for $100. I had to have seen it no more than 10 minutes after it posted and was already too late.

They're both certainly on my must have list at this point!
