Visited TK Maxx tonight and found a copy of the DK "Battle for the Stolen Crystals" for the expensive price of £3. It didn't stay in the store long...

Ah, I remember that set well. Next-door's baby nearly ate the postman... and now she's 19 and at university. Time flies, and I'm old.

Got #75103 First Order Transporter for $44.98 at my local Target.

Probably could have waited for a better price with the amount each Target by me had in stock, but didn't want to risk it. Shelves clear around here pretty quickly.

Around here there are plenty of those and have been for weeks, but Target seems very reluctant to discount LEGO beyond 50%. So, I picked up two more on this go-round.

Well, the price dropped according to Brickseek and also according to Brickseek the shelves were cleared. This was within a 2 hour span this morning, and occurred at both Target stores that reduced it further. It is possible that Brickseek isn't reporting accurate numbers, but according to their numbers the saleable quantity at one of the two Targets went from 52 down to 2 in that 2 hour span.

That being said, I'm going to try and go to the Target I originally bought this from, see if I can get one for a discount and then return this one, or see if I can do a return/rebuy at the cheaper price.

Sweet! I gave my nephew one a few years ago and he lost the parts for the top before he could finish it. Wish I'd bought two at the time. They were actually a good deal at TRU at the time.

This was in tesco ireland - figured it wasn't relevant as your tesco deals don't really show up here.

Potentially interested in a trade. 6754 did look like a keeper due to the amount of tan bricks.

I would have to build both models to check that all of the parts are there. But i suspect they are mostly complete.

    My wants are here:

    http://bricksetforum.com/discussion/25805/wtt-uk-various-spares-for-your-cmfs-indiana-jones-and-lotr#latest

If you have some good stuff i could be tempted!

    #6207
    #7655
    #7663
    #7668
    #7676
    #7894
    #8079
    #31007

Anyone who lives near Reading, there is a guy on Facebook Marketplace who is apparently selling a MISB UCS Slave 1 for £100. I already have one and do not have £100 spare at the moment anyway but if someone was after one maybe...

I picked up off of LetGo 2 totes full (45 gal and 30 gal) for $225. The weight was provided by the seller and I was told it was all lego except for maybe a couple of MB Halo sets. I've separated it out into 10 lb chunks (Note: The large plastic pales of Tidy Cat litter holds 10 lbs nearly perfect.) and sorted about half of the buy.

It ended up coming in at 93 lbs plus the 30 gal tote is half full of larger assembled pieces I've not yet weighed and broke down (hoping the assembled pieces will give a good idea of what sets may be in the lot.). These are pictured in attached image as well as the what has been sorted.

in all it has came out to $2.41/lb without including the large assembled pieces yet. I think by the time it's done, I'll be under $2/lb plus I gained 2 nice storage totes!

Some issues I've found with the lot from the first half of sorting - but at this price I can't complain to much.
.620 lb - pieces that have been glued.
    1.04 lb - non-lego blocks and other.

@Russell844 That looks interesting. Is there any marking on the spine that tipped you off that it was a LEGO book? I see the 2x4 studs on the cover but probably wouldn't have noticed them in a store. Or was it just cause you were in billund you looked more closely at everything?
  • Russell844Russell844 Member Posts: 2,419
The book was actually flat on the shelf and I recognized the cover instantly.

Looking for a gift for a kid birthday party and found a #60050 Train Station on clearance which stacked with the current 25% off promo for a final cost of ~$25 USD.

(the party kid is getting something else btw, the train station is mine!)
