    Well, I've seen the same case at TRU only without the fancy packaging, so someone just decided to slap some TLBM wrapping on it and hope people would buy it. On the same puzzling note, I came across an 8 figure minifig case today at Walmart, and it was also packaged as TLBM. Um, 16 + 8 leaves a couple of empty boxes...

    As for my status, while not strictly Lego-related, today my tablet seems to have died on me. Amazon gave me a credit for a new power charger but I know the darn thing was not out of power when it worked this morning. So, long story short, my Lego budget may take a hit.

    Keep in mind that these minifigure display cases generally aren't designed specifically for collectible minifigures; they're for whatever minifigures kids want to display in them (including those from regular sets). And of course, the movie branding is just to capitalize on the movie's popularity. Other than the packaging it's just a recolor of the standard display cases, not something that was in any way designed with the movie or its minifigures in mind.

    After missing out on it when it hit $60 on clearance (even when it was on sale, I was very much on the fence about it), I finally have #70816 Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! Now I think I've got a good base for MOCing a few modern takes on Classic Space without having to sacrifice my original sets.

    You said Hulk has a new girlfriend as you put his and the Black Widow BrickHeads next to each other. Those are fanfic about a Hulk/Black Widow relationship.

    Needed to get at a non-LEGO item in my room buried under LEGO items. Got rid of some non-LEGO and put some in my closet to have more space and containers for storing LEGO, sorely needed in this LEGO warehouse I sleep in.

    Oh...@KingAlani I wasn't sure the photo was in a different thread I thought the photo was supposed to be at the link. But anyway I used a combo of filters in Adobe Photoshop and my Wacom Tablet to get that look.

    Watching my son watching a recording of the Dominicans playing the US in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. My older son is sick, I'm sick. This one is supposed to be going to his grandmothers today for a while...when he does I'm going to add to the shelf just to the left of him under the TV. You can barely see in the dim light The Hulk, Black Widow, Belle, Beast and Robin Brickheadz. Want to build some more today.

    Recently I sorted a set with parts of each minifigure in different bags. Why doesn't TLG put figure parts together? Is it a manufacturing convenience? A theft deterrent? It's frustrating when trying to sort a set, whether keeping or selling.

    I always assumed it was just to spread the minifigure builds out throughout the entire build of the set.

    Also annoyingly will be in Sheffield the next few days but wont have time  during the days to visit the Lego store there :(  at least being stuck in a hotel with nothing to do means build time!

    Also have decided to, us much as possible, do mocs/ alterations with the kids around.  Its interesting to see what they build with a narrower selection, yet bigger amount of bricks that you are working with. My 6 year old comes up with some rather good ideas!

    I understand different minifigures being in different bags, but these are pieces of the same minifigure

    I live 25+ miles from the Eastview Mall LEGO Store. Biking that far just isn't feasible, especially in this weather. I just thought about the bus - Bus 84 goes out there, but like many suburban routes, it doesn't run often. By the time the store opens, the bus is almost done running for the morning, and when I get off work, it's almost done for the night. Maybe some weekday when I'm off work or on Saturday, maybe bike part of the way (the buses have bike racks)

    I think that's gotta be theft deterrent.

    Took a break from sorting & cataloguing my MOC parts, so I created a FB page for our blog like @xiahna suggested when we put Awesomest Lego on hiatus.

    Aldi has storage drawers on sale this week in the US for $8, so I picked up 10 of the 33-drawer version. Overall dimensions of the cabinet are 12" x 5.3" x 16.3". The drawers don't have much of a tab on the back to keep them from falling out, bit the dividers are nicer than what comes with comparable Akro-Mils drawers.

    It really shows how much Lego has changed over the years....I'm cataloguing my MOC parts on Rebrickable & most of the parts (99.9%) are from sets, yet I have over 400 Technic elements, including 30 long friction pins. That's more Technic parts than some of my childhood Technic sets & the only Technic set I bought since my dark ages was the Arctic one for James to build.

    @VorpalRyu, yes, that's something that I really appreciate: The utilisation of non-System parts in sets that add functionality to those sets. It may be only a small matter, such as the implementation of a simple play-feature, or to create a constraction component to a set (Ninjago is a good example of this, with the dragons), but I see this as a great positive: You get a Technic / Bionicle-lite base upon which a System set is built.

    @JudgeChuck, some of the Technic parts would also be to reinforce builds, when I got the #6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle, I was shocked that the set used Technic pins to help stabilise the rear sections of the Quinjet. I think the Mixels, Microfighters & #75051 Jedi Scout Fighter all help contribute to my collection of new Technic elements quite heavily.

    @VorpalRyu, yes, absolutely.

    I recently acquired #6960 Mobile Rocket Transport from @AllBrick, which is from 1982 and I already have #6970 Beta-1 Command Base from 1980 and both have Technic elements, albeit pretty minimal, so it is something that has been done for a long time.

    @JudgeChuck, lol, #6970, that brings memories, still have to get around to rebuilding mine, have to say the Technic pieces seemed to used more for cosmetic appeal rather than functionality with that one. How is your 3754 Rocket Launch Print Brick holding up? The print on mine looks practically as good as the day I opened the box.

    Picked up a Fire Brigade #10197 from Craigslist for a decent price. It was partially disassembled when I got it so I'm going through the process of taking it the rest of the way apart. So far there are a couple of peices that have broken when I took them off so we'll have to see if I can get replacements. So I am up to 8 of the modulars now. Still going to see if I can bricklink the town hall and after that I may try to work on the CC and GG. Though for the GG I will probably go with an alternative to the 1x2 w/ Groove Sand Green bricks.

    @VorpalRyu, I've actually got 2 of them, my own and also my brother'so.  One is a tiny bit scratched, but not at all bad and the other is pretty much pristine.
    The Technic pieces are a few 1xX bricks for the monorail and roof and also two pins, as buffers on the monorail, so very minimal, but definitely there! :-)

    Recieved a used #6243 Brickbeard's Bounty and it there were a lot of animal hair with the pieces. :-(

    Any good tips how get rid of the hair?

    Managed to pop into meadowhall and hit the pab wall for the things Glasgow doesn't have. Was surprised at the size of the store but my only reference is Glasgow.

    The one day I forget to ensure our home is Roomba-safe before it starts its scheduled cleaning round, of course Lego is the victim:
    The cable connecting the Dimensions toy pad to the Xbox was hanging on the floor, resulting in said toy pad being dragged down by the robot overlord and Wyldstyle + disc being sucked in. Fortunately it's easy to retrieve items from the Roomba, and both the toy pad and Wyldstyle + disc survived the ordeal. (I started the game to make sure)

    First robot incident in 3 years, and of course it had to involve Lego...

    What's the point of owning Mr. Gold if you aren't going to open him and put him together. I get there's a stupidly huge investment value in the cheeky bugger, but if I owned one I'd at least want to see him on the shelf with all the other Minifigures, even if opened his value would plummet.


    I don't collect for value, and never did truly understand it, but to each their own I suppose.
