Nice review. I enjoy these blog posts quite a bit and they have really helped to rekindle my love of the classic castle theme.

#6079 is one of my personal favorites. I don't think it's overly amazing by any means, but it has a lot of charm that I loved as both a young teen and today as an adult. I love how asymmetrical the layout is, which is how I'd imagine a "forest fortress" would be.

Even when I was younger, I remember loathing how part of the set's piece/value allotment was spent on the carriage. I wish it would have been put towards a slightly bigger fortress. But you're correct in that it really helps tell the story and provide an ambush play feature.
