Take a look at the header on this image:

imageI don't remember seeing that red truck anywhere before... Perhaps a store exclusive for Summer release?

Not sure about that one, probably a store exclusive?

There is a new city set, though, 4207, a parking garage. No pics, yet.

^ A parking garage? Sweet! My (son's) City is flooded with vehicles and not too many buildings. This set could kill two birds - provide another building and somewhere to park the vehicles!

A parking garage for these 6 wide cars is going to have to be HUGE. Look at the Metro one from years back and that was just for 4 wides.

the city calendar in that pic looks very good - 1000 times better than last year.

That truck is pretty cool. Wish the figure wasn't blocking half of it though.

    A parking deck sounds interesting.

Is it just me or is the ambulance huge? It just seems way out of proportion. I was thinking of picking it up for a future gift but it looked big on the box and I thought maybe it was just the way it was set up on the box. Now I see it on the shelf in the pic and it looks out of whack

^ I have it in hand (thanks @sidersdd!) and I don't think it's too big in comparison with other City Vehicles. I took some photos with a minifig, the garbage truck, car and caravan and patrol car to illustrate it to you. Sorry for the awful photos - photography is not one of my strong points. http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/sets/72157629314623065/

Very good point @sidersdd and thanks for the pics @matthew. Ive never seen an ambulance in real life that's as tall or taller than a dustbin lorry! The previous one was a more reasonable scale so that's the one to go with IMO.

Parking garage would be amazing and just what I need! Hope this turns out to be more than rumour.

Loving the red truck on the banner not sure if it's mining or not, the minifig doesn't have the mining hat as per the other sets but has a standard construction hat. Either way I'll likely buy it.

I thought 4429 Hospital was going to be a summer release including an ambulance, but I haven't seen pictures of it anywhere.

^ It's a store exclusive, so not at the Toy Fairs.

LEGO is getting better vehicle designs :)

^Agreed! That's what got me collecting City - the vehicles. Now I just need buildings...

2012 2H sets will be "construction" oriented. Similar to 2005 or so.

So are the construction sets-aimed for summer release-the last City sets for 2012?

^^ @asherkobin So is there another sub-theme of construction sets released after the mining sub-theme? That seems like a lot of sets released in a year.
  • asherkobinasherkobin Member Posts: 194
ok my mistake then, some of the mining theme sets could pass as normal construction vehicles.

No. The construction sets are the mining sets. The summer will also see a hospital set and a flagship parking garage set that, in the U.S., should be Target and Toys R Us exclusives, respectively. I suspect we will also see a WM exclusive. Maybe the highway truck?

^That makes more sense. Thanks @Ma1234.
