X-Wing (2005), Professor Quirrel (torso, head, and turbin), Mcdonalds Racers, Chamber of Secrets, ball socket probably from Dume and Nivawk, hubcap from Speed Champions, Sandtrooper Pauldrons, Gringots safe, Bohrok Krana holder, 2006 minifigure scale Bionicle Hahli/Vezok torso and legs.

Thanks man! Helps a lot. I never got into Harry Potter or the original run of Bionicle as a kid. As for the hubcap, I don't think it is Speed Champions... It is way too big, plus I have all the SC sets and it doesn't show up there. Of course, it might not even be lego - I got quite a mixed bag of stuff.

The yellow sticker-ed parts are from http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=8143-1#T=I along with the hub cap.

@CaptainRogers - could it be this one?

    http://brickset.com/parts/design-58088

There looks to be 3 sizes of  18mm, 36mm and 56mm.  The link above is for the 56mm version.

Sorry, I meant Speed Racers (awful theme...)

^appreciate it @GallardoLU. - I was wondering if that was even Lego. Now I know!

1st post so please shift this if I've done this wrong.

My boys are avid Lego heads (mortified when Chima was discontinued)

Can anyone point me in the right direction identifying stickers that are still on their backing sheets?  Twin 1 rushes to complete the set and the stickers get shelved.  I know there is a set of numbers on each sheet but I can't work it out.

@twin_boys_mum  Go to Bricklink, on the sticker sheet at the bottom is a printed number. Enter the number into the search area and you'll find what you're looking for.

if you head over to bricklink you can search for the numbers on the sticker sheets (long one like the below example)

set number 70143 uses sticker sheet marked with: 11704/6075178
to find the set from the sheet I searched "Sticker 11704"

alternatively you can search by set number, and match the sticker sheet to the set as it will be listed as a part.

lastly if you have a list of set numbers, or sticker sheet numbers I'm sure one of us can run through bricklink for you pretty quick.

Fab.  It looked like the numbers were too long to relate to sets.  I think I understand now.  Cheers.

Found a boat hull from #7207 . There is a clip on the bottom, I'm guessing it's for a ballast weight.
Can someone point me towards the item that this clip is designed for please?
  • SprinkleOtterSprinkleOtter Member Posts: 2,779
    ^ A boat motor.

I've got that #7207 hull around here somewhere, never built it because mine is missing the grey insert. The instructions don't show any parts connecting to the bottom of the hull, but you could probably use the motor from #7906 with the #7207 hull.

    Just acquired a Bionicle lot.
I am not familiar with the names and types, so please be kind and help out and identify what you see!

    Thanks in advance!

  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie Member Posts: 1,828
    That's quite a jumble of parts :)
I usually track down Bionicle by browsing by color on Brickset and narrowing it down by looking at the Constraction parts. For instance, There's a lime green part in the upper right of picture#2. I started with "Bright Yellowish Green", then started looking at just Constraction parts and spotted it on the Body Shells Page. #7165 is the only set listed with that part. The head from #8910 is in the last picture.

That was an easy one to track down. Just like the System sets, lots of parts get used in multiple sets, then there are oddball parts that only come in a few sets. Look for the oddball parts first, then pull all the parts to build that set out of the pile, then repeat. And don't hesitate to post pics of both the assembled sets and any more parts left unidentified.

    Thanks, @datsunrobbie.
i actually found three Hero Factory torsos so they'll help me with this search.

I can see an 8901 in there, but a lot of the part/colour combinations only end up in a handful of sets. Blades, masks and arm/leg pieces are good to start with.
  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie Member Posts: 1,828
Also check out #8913 and #8943. There's a fairly large silver part, #4504965, in one pic that seems to only be in those two sets.

Thanks for leading me to the identity of that little yellow axle with the hex end. I have one lone one and was almost sure it wasn't Lego.

Hello, I'm considering purchasing a tub of Legos being sold online, but I'm curious what sets might be included in it.  There are three plates in the attached picture that should be easy to identify because of missing studs, but I can't find them via a search of BrickLink.  The three plates are the (1) the white one towards the left that is partially concelled by a multi-colored house construction, (2) the half-concealed yellow 6x? plate in the middle that looks like it may have studs only around the edge of one corner, and (3) the large gray plate to the right that is missing almost half of its studs on one side.  Thanks in advance.

The yellow part is 6178 - Tile Modified 6x12 with studs on edges.  Appears in yellow in 4 sets (3826, 5846, 7685 and 4404).

Maybe others can assist on the white and grey parts, but I suspect they are not Lego brand.

That large dark gray baseplate has me a bit confused. I count that it's 36 x 26 studs? That seems potentially like Mega Bloks dimensions? However, I'm not a longstanding expert like so many here, so I could be completely wrong.

I know we have some identifying already in the works with the above photo, but I'll throw some more in.

    Any thoughts?
Picture isn't the best, but it's what I was given. Based on the purple, I'm pretty sure I see most/all of $41553 Vaka-Waka Mixel. What about all those tan pieces strewn about? Some of the green look like another Mixel too.

There are obviously some non-Lego in the mix with the minion-esque figs in the top center. I'm hoping that means not a lot of other off-brand.

The guy I'm buying from buys storage lockers and sells the contents. I'm his exclusive Lego buyer, so even if the lot isn't great, I feel like I have to buy to keep the relationship in a good place. He only wants $2, which I figure the Mixel alone is worth. Plus I'm looking for a lot of tan currently.

The doubts of Lego origins expressed by sdetsky and Switchfoot55 prodded me to do a Google image search for large gray Mega Bloks bases, and I believe I've confirmed the Mega Bloks origins of the plate in my picture.  See here:  https://shop.megabrands.com/en-us/shop/construction-toys/blok-squad/build-plate

Looks like a Mega Bloks Dino Ride with a few LEGO parts thrown in

^The most I looked and searched BL, the more I feared it was Mega Bloks. For $2, I'll probably still pull the trigger for the 1 or 2 mixels that are likely there.

    Thanks!
  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie Member Posts: 1,828
^If I saw it at the local thrift store for $2, I'd certainly buy it - I already have several of the related Minions sets, and I'm happy with them.
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,475
The build itself looks fun. I know my son would LOVE to add a dinosaur to his city, be it Lego or Mega Blok.

I guess the idea of being a purist is understandable to me (I'm a purist in other things I collect). But due to the fact that 95% of my Lego purchases are for my son, I have to be realistic and just know that he doesn't care if they are Lego, MB, or some other non-pirated generic brand. ...though, would he really care if there were some Lepin bricks?

    @Switchfoot55
I see bits of quite a few Mixels in there. It looks like they were buying Mixels mostly from series 6.

41546: Forx - I see the upper jaw, a leg, and an eyebrow.
41545: Kramm - I see the drill arm and both legs.
41548: Dribbal - Main build of head.
41550: Slusho - Bottom of head and a wing.
41553: Vaka-waka - lots of the parts, as mentioned.
    41552: Berp - two arms.

I tried to find the massive tan and dark red build in Bricklink last night by searching for fairly rare parts in those colors. But I am convinced it is not Lego as most of those are not listed as ever having been produced in those colors.
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,475
I think someone already linked those back to a Mega Bloks set actually. I went through the same process and kept running into dead ends.
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,475
I happened upon another bin full of goodies tonight. Most of the sets are complete enough that I can figure then out, but a few are giving me fits. Any help?

    Pretty small bits

Anyone look familiar? Minus the SpongeBob figs of course.

What stinking winter set is this from!? It's driving me nuts.

I have other pics, but will stop out of fear of breaking the page.

The fire ATV and a lot of the figures (like the St. Nicholas) are from the 2012 Advent Calander set #4428

The Police ATV is from set #4437. Still 2012.

    I see a few CMFs from 2012: the Bandit #8827, the Flamenco Dancer #8827 x 2, the Jungle Boy #8831 x 2.

Then going back a year to the 2011 CMFs: Space Alien #8803

The 'pretty small bits' are actually brickarms ammo clips (a 3rd party lego compatible weapons manufacturer) http://www.brickarms.com/Ammo-Clip.php so I assume the other parts in the bag are also from them.

The figs are a whole mish-mash of parts but there is also the dino-tracker cmf http://brickset.com/sets/71007-10/Dino-Tracker a ninjago snake dude and a couple of SW snowtroopers.
