100% chance of more BS from some politician somewhere. :)
Yes is does seem to ignore the 221 armed groups fighting each other in 29 countries around the world right now.
Maybe it is time to stop selling guns to anyone?
you're not wrong ;P
Did I place an order for airbags I don't remember???
Oh, there's actually a tiny bit of Lego related stuff on the bottom of that box!
Goes into old-man-rant-mode about the distinction between "properly protecting out Lego purchases during transport" and "just sheer wastefulness".
(And yes I realise shrove Tuesday is pancake day too... )
Lego related, I've not been able to build anything the last 2 days (try to do something even if it's just 5 min) - getting cravings!
Maybe I should built the friends hedgehog set ;)
@jenni - that's so nice to hear - I'm glad your family will have crepes for dinner! Enjoy...
@Pitfall69
It's even the day on which the university of Leuven always has a day off (it's their patron saint day). There's even an expression 'geen madammeke te arm of ze maakt op lichtmis haar panneke warm' .
Which translates for the non-dutch speakers too 'not a woman so poor that she can't heat up her pan at Candlemas'
- and to all you Sumo's, pitfalls and Legoboys it says pan, not man!
Steven Bannon saw his shadow, how many more weeks of fascism?
Do you have location set to Ygritte's bedroll? :P
I'm seriously considering it ;-)
I've provided a similar bargain hunting service in the past. It usually works something like this:
Circlek: "Hey - There are some really great Lego clearance deals at Target right now. Better get there quick."
Translation: "I was at Target earlier and found a lot of great clearance buys on Lego. I completely ransacked the place, but left the junk nobody wants. It's still there though if you're interested."
My bargain hunting service isn't that great... Horrible reviews on yelp.
What did I treat myself to thanks to the many different sales and just a general lack of control over my credit card once it escapes my wallet?

....found a chap from the UK on Instagram that was holidaying in America and bringing a few of each one back. Can't wait to get building them tomorrow.
I was lucky to get them and at a good price too. Built the Batmobile this morning, its dinky but so cool.
I did have the blue jet creator set, #31039 to take apart too but I hadn't built the boat or helicopter. The completionist in me means all 3 models have to be built from the creator sets before the parts are sorted and put with the rest of the pieces. So I've just finished that about 20 minutes ago.
Can I just recommend to anyone that doesn't have it already, #31039 is absolutely excellent for helicopter build alone! I enjoyed it immensely, especially the techniques used around the cockpit and for the engine section under the rotor blades.
After a few weeks of self-imposed restriction on building (excepts CMFs that don't really count), the sorting was making me resent Lego a bit and I realised I was turning a bit President Buisnessy.
Now I'm going to enjoy getting back to using Lego the way it's supposed to.
Cue the end of the sorting montage in this part of the movie and freeze frame on me jumping in the air, fist aloft.
Of course now I won't have the crutch of buying a CMF here or there, will I survive? Pretty sure that my birthday at the end of this month, my backlog of sets and an ongoing MOC project with my wife will see me through, but still :-P
