Some stuff was available at midnight. New stuff showed up this morning that was not there when I hit the sheets.

Probably getting the Assembly Square, but may wait until the Batman Poly promo in Feb.

Phantom prices have started to appear on the US LS@H site.  The Santa and Little Elf holiday sets are showing as $7.99, but drop to $4.99 once added to the cart.  Similarly, the Lego Movie key chains are $.99 once added to the cart.  Free batwing polybag at $35, too.

^ And the other key chains that were $4.99 on sale at $2.99(Batman, Flash, Hulk, etc) when added to cart jump up to $3.99.
  • JooTogJooTog Member Posts: 945
And the Friends mug goes up from $7.39 to $7.99, and some keychains go up from $2.99 to $3.99 :-|

On another note. Went to the local LEGO store and got The LEGO Batman Movie Accessory Pack. They did not have the "hidden Batmen" but the manager was asking Batman trivia questions instead.

Just found some new items added to sales & deals, and a few prices lowered more....Batwing poly still available.

That's a good deal! They were selling for $4.99 at Disney store

Haven't received a PAB order.  It shows as shipped, but the tracking has no info.  I called cs, and they said it probably missed getting scanned.  I have to wait until it is scanned in the US, but it hasn't arrived here yet.  For my trouble, they gave me 500 VIP points.  Assembly Square is a lot closer to being mine!

Also, while not a 'sale' or 'deal', the #40236 Romantic Valentine Picnic is available via shop@home US, and limit five. I say if you want it (and are not near a LEGO store) buy it and buy it soon as these type of minifig seasonal sets typically do not last long online.

Also, #31031 Rainforest Animals are on sale for 11.99 as well as many other items now appear in the Sales and Deals section.

So on my last shop@home order I added 3 Batman CMFs to fill out my order. Well it arrived today and I got 3 Gordons, thanks Lego. You couldn't switch up at least one of them.

^  HA! That's not bad but I ordered 2 batches of 16 from series 2 from them and out of 32 figs I got 17 Ring Masters.

Gordon was really the only figure I wanted from this series, so I probably would have been OK with that lol.

The Lego Movie keychains (Wyldstyle, Emmet, and Bad Cop) are listed on clearance as $1.99, but show up in the basket as $0.99.
  • Sethro3Sethro3 Member Posts: 1,016
Well I would imagine they grab at random too. I doubt they are back there feeling the packets and laughing to themselves about you. (Although that would be interesting). But it shows why blind packaging works for them and doesn't work for us.

Thanks. Kicking myself a bit though, I saw a bunch of these at the LEGO store but did not check the prices on them.

I saw the Guess Who? game (I forgot what Lego calls it) had the RRP knocked down to $29 and then is on sale for $24.99. Not bad for parts with some 16x16 plates and minifigs.

On a lark, I checked Sales and Deals. Even S@H's discount prices can be unimpressive. Only standout was #41065 Wedding Favor Set for $4.99, limit 2. I doubt TLG will trouble me about the 2 I bought awhile ago (at $9.99, not the only time or retailer where I see a set for less than I paid for it)

Something for #70326 Knighton Rider is obvious; I'll tolerate another #70324. Thanks for suggesting batman CMF's to round out order, got 2 of those.

@Legogram once I used PayPal on S@H, funded by balance and credit card, the card charged me a foreign transaction fee, CS gave me 300 VIP points, those and other points  are one reason I ordered

@Bumblepants You're right about #40161 "What Am I?". Like 40165, about 3x part value, many minifigures and big plates. 40161 has more items per lot because of the duplication on each player's board, including the figs. Half female, including some in male heavy professions. Only about 15% of cops are women, 35% of doctors or journalists. Also a recreational pair and male race car driver, firefighter and jailbird. If it's still available in February, I might get one along with a cheap DC Girls set and the Krypto polybag

As I've never actually bought off the Lego website, but am running into a question. Does having something in your cart temporarily hold it for you? I see a few items that I'd like to pick up, but have left a free shipping code at home and won't get to it for a couple of hours. I'm not sure how fast items move on the site, so just trying to decide if it's worth it to pay shipping...

    Thoughts?
  • dspigeldspigel Member Posts: 478
If your order is over $35 you get free shipping anyway. That's pretty easy to do.

  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,485
    ^...dangerously easy apparently!

My cart started at about $10. I had a free shipping coupon given to me the last time I was at the Lego store. Before I knew it, my cart was at $30. Now much higher than that.

Where did the self control go?

As a kid, I remember picking hundreds of dollars of stuff out of the catalog and having to cut it down to just enough to get free shipping.

@Switchfoot55, from my experience, placing something into your cart on S&H does not hold it for you. This is the great Black Friday frustration that kept me from ever shopping on S&H before I moved to reliable hi-speed internet location. Stuff was gone before I could put into my cart and then pay.
    KingAlanI
  • DedgeckoDedgecko Member Posts: 798
Nowhere to my knowledge does that("in cart is a hold").  And S@H is the worst site to buy from during new releases or major sales.  Their inventory control system is incredibly antiquated.  Stuff shows up late on new release day and then poofs before any normal soul can purchase it.  But I suppose most of us aren't considered normal ;)

Amazon allows you to leave whatever you want to leave in your cart, and shows you price updates if you do that.
At my recollection, I have never had a problem with S@H leaving stuff in my cart. In fact I have had to remove items before a big sale or promo was due to start to ensure I wasted little time getting my item and checking out.
In my experience I think the only time I ever saw something removed from my cart was if it became unavailable. The trick is to either log in to the site to add stuff to your cart, or leave stuff in your cart, but do not empty your temp internet files when closing your browser.
As for new stuff on release day, the 'new day' for the site begins at 12am local time, in the case of the US it is Eastern time. So any good deals and or sought after new sets are gone well before the 'normal' hours of the next day.
Lets face facts, people will camp out at the site the minute the sale starts regardless of it being 'late night' or 'early morning'. I would much rather LEGO keeps this intact than starting sales at 6am (like TRU and many other retailers do)

Err, Friends upscale cups, Friends butterfly organizer, Nexo Knight army packs, Nexo knight series 1DVD, Nexo Knight Magmar's armor and cape

most sites will keep stuff in your cart, but that doesn't reserve it for you if the price changes, it goes out of stock, etc

a lot of Sales and Deals are accessories rather than regular sets. compared to when I was shopping a few days ago, a lot of stuff is on a bigger sale now, and the low prices are showing up before being put in cart
as for the friends upscale cup, description says 8 cm diameter and 13 cm height. rounding down to 10 for unusable cup base, volume is about 503 cm^3 (I remembered to use 4 since the formula calls for radius, not diameter). 1 cm^3 is 1 ml. Half a liter is a useful size. I was afraid it would be too small even upscaled.

My most recent order arrived today. Box was about half airbags, which isn't too bad for them. :P

Will the supply of #30546 (February 1-15 with any DC Superhero Girls purchase) last until the 10th? 10th to 28th is free #30607 with any $75 purchase, so presumably would stack in a $75 order that includes DC Girls)

Planning to order #41233 to get 30546 ASAP. What to add for free shipping? I may get a 40161 like planned. Many of the half off sets are a good deal. So I'm particularly disinclined to try and get more 40165 past TLG.

As is common for Nexo Knights, the army builder sets are too futuristic to go with Castle stuff. Many army builder sets are less useful for the stated purpose because they include a lot of different figures (I ntoiced this with the Star Wars Battle Packs). Then again, that might be why they're available cheap.

^ I was going back and forth on the same thought if it would last, but I decided to go ahead and order by daughter #41230 BatGirl BatJet just in case.  Worst case I wasted $5 in shipping and will end up with two #30546 Kryptos later.

What to get with 41233/30546? Okay, 1 upscaled mug. I have a large LEGO budget for once so I decided to get the maximum 5 41061, 5 #40156, 2 #40153, 5 #40206 rather than hope they're still around or wait even if they are

@ClutchPower nice but do you have that higher res? what are the unrestricted 2x VIP dates? free DUPLO with any DUPLO purchase sounds especially promising now that there are $4.99 MSRP DUPLO sets.

Hey guys, not sure where else to ask this, but does anyone know what time the USA S@H store resets? Trying to figure out if I should stay up until midnight to get #30607 or if it will be 8 or 9 AM tomorrow morning....

@TyresOFlaherty Midnight eastern timezone is usually when the promos are added. If your looking for new set releases that could be anytime after midnight, but most of the time those show up in the morning.

Yeah, will be buying Assembly Square (with a load of VIP points exchanged) in order to get the Batman bag.. Heck, I'm even thinking about splurging and getting the Classic batcave to get the poly as it just feels kinda right to do.
