    Pens in our house have a tendency to disappear, mostly in my wife's purses and wherever she last played sudoku.

    I have now put together #40154 Iconic Pencil Pot in the (vain?) hope that going forward when any of these lost pens reappears, they get placed in #40154 so that whenever I need a pen, I might actually have access to one...

    I am currently building up the courage to tell the wife that i maybe forced by my own monumental stupidity in going after 208 little plastic figures...honestly,since the disney series these things have become a nightmare...they are either the spawn of the devil or simply the greatest marketing gimmic known to man/woman...damn you Lego!!

    Regarding stickers. When I apply them I cut every sticker out of the sheet around the border of the sticker. Then I lay it on the piece it is going to be applied, center it, then peel back part of the backing and fold it flat. Once the sticker is lined up on the piece again, I gently put the exposed sticky side on the piece, double check to make sure it is still centered or lined up how it needs to be, then gently pull the backing away while moving down the sticker. So far, I have had great success with this method. I usually just don't apply the stickers though. I rarely feel they add anything to the model.

    While I don't have anything I'm building at this time, I do have six Bricklink orders incoming, five of which are for the following things I plan to build:

    Police version of the green car in SDCC2015-3(this one I started but waiting on the remaining parts)
    The bad guy's van from 60008 in green & black
    Drakonas from Lego City Undercover in black
    The vintage looking roadster from 7326
    The vintage jeep from 7622

    #4 will be build a bit differently, as I want to use some parts I have already for the front. All in all, it's gonna be fun building these.

    Built this Batmobile a few days back. I was underwhelmed. Of all the Bat vehicles I have built it was my least favorite. Probably why I spent so much time mucking around on the photo.

    I dunno...wanted a bit more layers of detail. I would have liked the bricks put into the car and not the forklift, which just wasn't necessary for me.

    In a hotel in darkest damp Wales, building #60150 Clever set, its going to look great parked on my modular street selling snacks! Pity you have to demolish the top to arrange the minifigure in the serving hatch though.

    Trying but failing to not buy things, I've turned to actually building things from my large stack of sets to build. Over the last 2 days I've built #42048 #42047 #60149 #75872 and hope to add some more to that list.

    I didn't expect the #42048 go-kart to have a gearbox, it's a nice touch :)

    I've been working on this collection for about 18 Years! Except an Advent calendar model and a keychain charm, I believe that this is every Y-wing that Lego has produced. There are 8 total in the collection starting with set 7150 from 1999. These will be on display at NCLUG's Lego Palozza at the UNC Planetarium this weekend (4/5 Feb)

    It is funny being in California and seeing everyone rush to the windows in work because it's actually raining fairly heavily for a change. Hardly notice back home.

    Here are a few pieces that a monkey could make. So one did! :) I'm surprised how many bricks go into the #21301 Birds IDEAS Set. I still have Bird 3 left to assemble. I do this a lot. I have ADD and I bag the bags separately (often according to instructions) so sometimes I'll build one part of something and won't finish it until much later. When medication wears off will affect that equation a lot.

    I can explain that much better in photos some other time (of course I have some).

    @ricecake UGH...that is cool. Why can't their be instructions? Those speed build videos make my few remaining brain cells hurt a lot. ;)

    That is a sweet set but I can't justify buying it. But if I can find some cheap instructions I'm all into bricklinking it. I haven't checked to see if the book has an Oriole, but if not I'm considering MOCing one.

    @blogzilly Well if you are familiar with (or learn) the Mecabricks interface, you can click the "Editor" tab at the top to open the model in the workshop, and then examine it in however much detail you want. Also, above the description you can click the "Inventory" tab if you want to take a look at the pieces in the model.

    Do not care much for the second "modern" engine on the right; might convert it into another passenger cart.

    Finished #10253 this morning.

    That was definitely the most time a single set has ever taken for me to complete. One thing that didn't help the process was when I realized I had a random brick in my leftover pile which I knew wasn't an extra. After doing some searching, I realized that I had skipped a single brick in the row directly above the second row of statues. Since I had already gone three rows higher, it was a pain getting it in, but I managed. 

    Great looking set! I don't think I will be breaking this one down for awhile.

    For the first time in years I'm building a big Technic set. Currently about halfway in #42054 Claas Tractor and so good to get a challenging build again. Love the technical features and smart design.

    The ideas maze was a bit too pricey for me to justify so I bought myself a wooden one for $2 and flattened the top. It's a slightly snug 28x33 studs in size so ordered a 32x32 baseplate to cut to size and glue down to build on. Won't be as good but for $7 in total it's worth a try

    Have I mentioned how much I like Galaxy Squad? I'd enjoy seeing a return to that theme. Sadly, I only have a few sets left to build. Sniff. Of course, one could always add to it, if one had the stones...

    Can't find the shot of the alien crap from bag 1. Of course I built them days apart. DOH! Here's the #70709 Galactic Titan...

    Agreed. Especially if they could have worked some aspects of the intensity of the Hive Crawler into it, which so far has been my favorite thing from the theme. I think I still have the Warp Stinger, Eradicator Mech and Bug Obliterator to build, and the Star Slicer and Swarm Interceptor to acquire. Hmmm more than I thought. Why did I think I had built most of this? I'm losing it...

    Swarm Interceptor is mediocre, and Star Slicer is all-around pathetic... Weakest of the theme in my opinion.

    Since a few of you mentioned the Hive Crawler I've decided I have to acquire it. And now I'm looking at the awesome canopy shape on the Galactic Titan and... damn it, I've always had such a weakness for cool canopies...

    You know I was just looking at the two of them. For me, Star Slicer offers at least some parts I don't have and some more I don't have in abundance. The Swarm Interceptor doesn't seem to offer much in that regard. If I am going to skip one, and I might, it would be the latter.

    But, and there's always a nice BUTT, I was thinking. If I could get myself just a little more organized, this would be a great excuse to start to segue into a MOC attempt. I've been studying a lotta spaceships lately. Collecting images via Pinterest and Flickr, seeing how people do it. Maybe I should make a Swarm Interceptor Mark II or something. If I could give it some of the same play features as the set, mainly the conversion capabilities, same color scheme, same general shapes, might be a good learnin' tool for me.
