I am not seeing empty slots of Elsa's new castle either, but I would not say that is a construct-a-Zurg. A two set run, is actually large in the Princess line. Many of the Orincess themes only have one set at a time.
I would not expect the Moana sets to be anywhere close to the sales first run of Frozen sets, but that does not mean these sets are failures.

The 24 drawer Akro-Mils cabinet is $26.78 on Amazon.

^ That price is for the 10124.

^ As was pointed out to me, if you have a Menards by you, you can get these for less than $20. For example, this one is currently $19.96. Last time I got a couple for myself, I went this route when Menards also had one of its 11% rebate sales.

What is astounding to me is today I received a notice reporting that Amazon could not fulfill a order for the LEGO Dimensions Gremlins pack, and cancelled my order that they first put on back order....about 30 days ago.. I ordered this so long ago I cannot remember exactly when I ordered it.

Same here; I ordered back in mid-December (along with ET) and they just now cancelled it.

That is concerning about the gremlins pack. Does that mran lego under produced it? I hope not. They made tons of the garbage ones.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,762
I dunno if it is a production thing, or a lack of supply thing in Amazon's Distribution network.
  • dspigeldspigel Member Posts: 478
I had my Sonic set cancelled. I also ordered it in early Dec. Seems like Amazon over extended itself.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
I had Sonic, Gremlins, and Fantastic Beasts all cancelled.

    Same here, sonic set cancelled!

Clarification -- Regarding these cancelled Dimensions orders, were these unilaterally canceled by Amazon, or did you not follow up on a "Shipment Delay" email?

For my Gremlins Team Pack order (which I subsequently canceled), I got this "Shipment Delay" email (screenshot, below) 30 days after my initial order.   The email's subject line was "Approval required for your Amazon.com order.")

Same deal here with Gremlins, I ordered at the end of November. I'm still holding out for the ET I ordered, but... It's been months. I guess I need to find the best deal I can elsewhere.

Fantastic Beasts cancelled by Amazon, I responded to the delay email a while ago.
  • bluedragonbluedragon Member Posts: 506
I responded to the email. Order was cancelled as others reported. Disappointed.

Thank you for this, it just came in and must say it was a fun build and a fun/cool set, very glad to have it. Thanks for the post on the deal!

Also has led to me watching many youtube videos about low riders.

Ditto. I received an email asking if I wanted to cancel or wait longer. I chose to wait. Today I get the email letting me know they cancelled it for. Kind of a bummer since I had the opportunity a few times since Dec to pick up the sonic set. I passed on it since I already had it ordered. Fast forward to today and now I've got to hunt the set down.
  • dspigeldspigel Member Posts: 478
The set is available for me to purchase from 3rd party vendors on amazon for 50% more than I had originally ordered it for.

Same boat as everyone - got email about delay and now an email that my order for Fantastic Beast has been cancelled. Bummer.

Got an email about Gremlins too.

I lost out on a Sonic set and a Fantastic Beast one--despite having said I was willing to wait. Very curious. I hope they come back into stock somewhere so I can have another chance to buy them.

They have a few Ninjago at 30% off and the blue dragon from elves for $12.79
  • Sethro3Sethro3 Member Posts: 982
I received the cancellation email too. Very frustrating. I did respond to the shipping delay email also. They must have really extended themselves if it takes that long to fulfill orders and then cancel them because they still can't.

But I guess it doesn't matter. Amazon collects tax now, so they aren't any cheaper than normal stores, so I might as well start shopping elsewhere to get it quicker.

Got my Fantastic Beasts (Tina) set canceled as well. Bummer.

I've heard Just2Good allude to the demise of the theme in a of couple videos- I wonder if there is any truth to that.

I think everybody has a different trigger point for purchasing items, and also depending which item. Although 20% might be the 'norm' nowadays, I think it's fair to post it.

No, No. I wasn't specifically going after someone posting a "sale"; it was more of a generic question. I get all excited when I see someone posted in the thread and I see "14% off" I understand it is all relative; 14% off a $400 set is decent (not really), but 14% off a $30 set is...well...awful ;)

I look at price/piece and not really at percent off at all.  To each his own

Though they are not entirely exclusive of each other (greater the percentage, the lower the price/pc), I understand your point: your threshold is based on the p/pc.

    Smart, actually.
  • elspankdogelspankdog Member Posts: 403
Yeah, minifigs, licensed, large/small pieces also factor in
