    Been to three Walmarts over the last two days (hunting for the final few Batman CMFs I needed for complete set No. 2) and noticed all three were in the process of taking certain toys back off of clearance and even putting the role back items back to regular price.

    At one, all of the sets in the clearance section scanned at regular price. At another, was about to buy the new airplane/limo set at a rollback price, but when scanned was also regular price. Then at the final one, staff was carrying the clearance sets back to the regular aisle. I got lucky and got three Jyn Ersos for $5 each, but all of the other sets had already been marked back up.

    What's the deal here lately with over 1,000 piece sets going for around $70 retail?...or  Spider-man Ultimate Bridge Battle..$78 in-stores, now the Batcave $70, the new Ninjago Forge for $75ish at WM too...and I know I'm missing a set.

    Must be the economic climate that Lego is monitoring.

    US buyers are strong so they're selling more at lower prices to entice us.

    I do not think that the US market is strong right now. I think a LOT of people are working, but are 'under' employed. Im guessing that is why many or these 99.99 sets are constantly being put on 'sale' for around 70. I know that when I was shopping before, and on, BF I was only buying sets that were at least 30% off.

    Yeah. The sales have conditioned me to wait for 40-50% off as a standard.

    True. Now that I think about it, there just may be an saturation of the market and some of the sets are being shifted to regions that have the capacity to buy more, maybe like the US market or some regions within the US.

    Hearing about some of the amazing sales people have found on sets like the LEGO Elves Shadow Castle kind of makes me think I should get in the habit of waiting longer for better deals, but then the surprisingly early retirement of sets like the LEGO Elves Dragon Sanctuary makes me reluctant to wait TOO long. I think I may continue to settle for 15–30% off for the "must-haves" on my wish list and only wait longer for the "maybes".

    For the most part, even when something retires early you can still find it if you act quickly. I found the elves dragon sanctuary at kroger for instance, just a couple of weeks ago after it was gone everywhere. Msrp occasionally isn't bad if you've managed to get everything else 40-50% off. Or you just get ok with missing some things every once in a while.

    ^ I have a few out of the way WM that have the same items...but they're still 15-30% off still.  Which I get to a point...but the WM employees have moved them around now 2-3 times in the store.  Off the toy shelves to it's own clearance toy aisle, now 3 days later that aisle is now moved to another aisle with all the store clearance.  I guess there's nothing to do at WM for the employees....they could help at the check-out lanes!

    i am looking for the disney cinderella.castle lego 41055...600+ pieces but seems like oos everywhere both walmarts and target...has anyone spotted one near them???

    It's gone as far as i know. Nearly every walmart finally blew them out at $35. Everyone else is sold out. I'd get it now while you can still at msrp. It will probably pop up to $100 or so in short order.

    Does anyone know when Walmart typically get their toy deliveries for the week? Is there a set day of the week or is it every day?

    From what I've seen at Walmart I doubt it would be much help knowing when deliveries arrive. I've had them email me & tell me my order is ready for pickup,then when I went to the store they told me my order was on a truck somewhere in the back waiting to be unloaded "come back in a few days".

    ^ You hope!  It might just be a sticker or a tattoo.

    And I'm sure the "select" locations might be under a dozen total in the largest cities in the U.S.  I can't even imagine that many...not with WM reputation of organizational skills and consistency.  I'm still waiting for those "helpful" dancing WM employees at the check-out lanes.  They must be delayed because of the holidays.

    ^ Some of the ones near me have put video monitors in their LEGO aisles. Always fun watching myself on a monitor that is flashing "RECORDING IN PROGRESS!"

    The problem is much of the theft happens outside of the store.

    @beachbum - my apologies.  Fufillment by Amazon.  So although it is a third party seller, the merchandise is in an Amazon warehouse and shipped by Amazon to you.

    Found City Cargo Plane for $9, Nexo Knights Aaron's V2 Striker for $11,  plus Buildable Jyn Erso for $11 and Buildable First Order Stormtrooper for $7. Left Jyn because I found a few copies earlier for $5.

    Did not find the Airport Battle at the Walmart close to me (and the one that had it for $30)...just a week ago it was there for $58, I guess I should have gotten it then. Ugh.

    Too much for those who got it at 29.99, but still a decent deal for a ton of parts. Seeing it still being available for a sale price under 59.99 is a bit telling though as opposed to years past.

    So this is weird. Buildable Jyn Erso was on clearance for $19, then marked down to $11... And just went up to a $17.54 "roll back" yesterday. They even moved it from the clearance aisle to the regular Lego aisle. Odd.

    In other news, l am seeing some  other rollbacks. Some City stuff around 20%-25% off, including Fun in the Park for $30.97. Some Volcano stuff 20% or so discounted. A few deals but nothing spectacular.

    Yesterday got #41150 Moana's Ocean Voyage 25% off. Also saw that #41179 Queen Dragon's Rescue was marked down to $49.99, but I already have that set and can't really justify getting a second copy as a parts pack while I'm up at college and still have so much else on my wish list.

    Just curious - is that Walmart Batman bundle (Riddler car/Joker Balloon Escape) actually just those two sets, in their own respective boxes, inside a larger box?  Anyone bought this yet and opened it up?  Thanks!

    Its a bit frustrating to see that kind of Batman display in another store with tons of the Joker battle practice sets and I found a whole two of them in one of two Walmart's and that was only because I went to the 'right' checkout aisle where someone put two of them up on an empty shelve.

    I saw a few Elves sets on discount, and as much as they were 'dragon' sets and I think one of the castles for 25% off, I just could not bring myself to buy them. If anything Id use them for parts, and only 25% off is that that good of a deal to me (never mind if they have been tampered with or not)

    I saw the same display at one local Walmart, while another supercenter did not have it. Probably over 100 #30523 in the box...grabbed a couple.

    It's the same in my area,some stores have the display setup while others do not.I suggest using Brickseek to search the 2-In-1 Super Pack (113515076) and see which stores show stock.If they do show stock it's likely they just haven't set the display up yet.I haven't seen the 2-In-1 pack on any store shelves,only in the above pictured display.
    Makes me wonder just how many of the Super Pack were produced since W-mart website shows it as out of stock & each store has only gotten 12 in the displays.

    Finally found a display with the #30523 Joker polys at a third Walmart. For once, right in the toy aisle as well.
    Also saw the combo pack, but just could not bring myself to buy one. I think both of those sets individually will be put on a far greater discount than any combination of the set would get someone.

    I agree. You can have both with greater discount individually, eventually.

    However, the Lego headcases we are want to have a 2-1 box, not just for the poster, but the novelty.

    I'll snag the poster via BL eventually.
