Every Target around here has a box of #30522 in the valentines section, with the other small toys.
Tons, and I mean TONS of #30546 Krypto Saves the Day. Grabbed an extra one for good measure ;-)
I get getting a few spares, but to be allowed to buy 20-30 of a poly.. that is just nuts.
By the way, I saw a bunch of #30474 at TRU yesterday, so there may still be some out there in other areas.
i found #30521 Mini Batmobile at TRU yesterday and bought a few.
I'm happy to have done it. It's better (and pricier) than giving candy and little cheap throw-ins.
I also did not say anyone should be 'guilty'. I just expressed that it is annoying when people buy them all. In this instance, due to the fact there is ONE LDC in IL, and I have to drive about 30 minutes to get to it to find out apparently 1 guy has been buying up all (or most) the stock. It is not like this is one in 4-5 stores around my area that could all have these (like a Target, for example).
Could I call to see if they have them? I guess, but that is also relying on the fact of getting someone on the phone who is not just going to say 'yeah sure we got them' and they in fact do not, or have a few, will not hold them, and they are gone before I get there.
It also does not change the impression that one guy is walking in and buying them all and doing this all the time apparently (as the employee knows 'the guy').
When you are one store in the entire area, it would be nice to see some sort of limits imposed on sought after polys, especially when they apparently did it with the release of #30448 previously.
Buying for students from one store out of 4-5 that all have stocks of these? That is one thing. Going to the one store in the state to buy up all the stock (for whatever reason) is annoying to me. Sorry.
As for the a--hat that hoards them, maybe if you were to talk or address via letter to the management about placing quantity limits on the poly bags. Express your outrage, disgust, etc. about how unfair it is for a person to buy them all without allowing other patrons to enjoy them.
That's what I would do. Not saying it'd work but it's worth exploring.
OR these were somewhere else in the store and I just missed them (but I did walk around the store and did not see them)
