The black 2x2 was added to simply lift the base of the lamp post above the pavement level. It makes sense to me.
Anyone else time themselves when feeling for blind bags like a crazy person? Lol
Actually, packing it all up is pretty much a necessity. I don't want to come home after a showing to find figs have wandered off. I've at least been able to convince her that the LEGO should not go in the off-site storage unit we plan to rent.
And Unisithy for the nuclear option.
I'm so happy I decided to be conservative about my set-buying this year; what I would've spent is going into the ticket budget/a bit of money for souvenirs...
There's also Vitruvious, but he's wandered off somewhere!
P.S. Do you wanna know who the best master builder is? Look at the second word. ;D
Yes, ziploc is a brand name, and I avoid using it sometimes, but it's sort of a genericized trademark like bandaid.
Even happier to have £48 Amazon UK gift card from TCB, due to TRU and Argos christmas promotions.
Now I have to decide what to buy.......
I substituted the two rare red flick-fire missiles with grey ones (you can't see them anyway, they're hidden inside the middle "wing" (whatever you call it). I also replaced the two 3L yellow Technic axles with grey as they are also hidden.
I am left wondering if the designer used those more unusual colours on purpose to give us something new for our parts bin?
It was such a great build, really worth the money. It looks amazing. I did think it needed a couple more minifigs though ;)
For those interested, there are jam-sessions, ducks fighting over a sausage (specially with @paul_merton in mind), snowmen and candelabras hiding in the towers - I know, I never really grew up ;)
I never got round to buying #75084 when it was first out, but with my SW:Rebels collection growing I decided I wanted it. I foolishly didn't get the set when I saw it in a little out of the way toy shop for £50 during the summer. Now I seem to be regularly missing out on eBay for them, last one escaped me for £42! There was one doing the rounds BIN for £70 but with bids reaching only £26 (it had been opened and built) it failed to reach reserve, was relisted and then pulled at just £10 for because of errors.
BL has a few in Europe for around £50 plus postage which will likely kill it for me. So back to stalking eBay for the elusive "opened and built, might have lost a couple of bits bargain" If any Bricksetters have the above lets talk!
NB: can @drdavewatford or @huw confirm? I suppose it doesn't really matter, but I like to be precise!
I disassemble them enough to fit in a gripseal bag, and label that. i dust them with a vacuum cleaner but can't run that too late. so maybe this will be a weekend project.
I'm right! Well, ok technically I posted that on the 19th as it was after midnight, but I thought I joined on the 18th and that's what the 'Joined' hover-over text said. Here's to the next year! And so on and so on...
Thanks for the tip @jootog!
A good day so far.
i just waiting on the price to come down (or smyths to do the money off codes.)
dusting all those little pieces wouldn't work with a vacuum

I try to sort through lots of recyclables such as LEGO packaging the night before garbage day but generally don't do much more than usual, let's see if this time is any different.
no more recycling LEGO packaging this week. we got a new fridge and the packing from that took up most of the space that was left in the bin.
Today has not been a very good day because I have dislocated my kneecap for the third time in 8 months. Even though it doesn't sound that severe, I am in great pain and will not be able to walk for a couple of weeks. If I may ask for everyone's prayers and thoughts, as I am in a tough time. Thank you.
Feel better soon!
that was awful. appalling, hang your head in shame.
To overcome the resulting trauma I have today built #41130.
display the LBM sets with a little more love...
and figure out how to integrate AS into my modular display
and thankful my kneecaps are fine!
All the best to you @ClutchPower, I hope you have some building space and LEGO within easy reach!
