My local Lego store had 2 full boxes out, plus probably another 4 opened boxes in bins on their shelves. The lady who cashed me out said that they have tons of cases left (emphasis was put on TONS). Go figure!
As I suffer from mild completionism, it feels good to officially check my first CMF series off. It's unlikely I'll go after any previous series. I'm considering the Batman CMFs, but will probably wait until the next series...whatever and whenever that may be.
@blogzilly
I haven't ordered a 75149 yet, but I will. I just noticed that happens to be the set you had trouble with. PM'ed you about transaction details.
I started writing order numbers to avoid confusing myself when packing multiple orders at the same time. Then I realized buyers might be similarly befuddled when receiving multiple orders.
The order I just got had the number written on the bubblemailer under the mailing label. The contents were in one midsized bag, but the order was mostly a large quantity of one lot, with the other parts easily identifiable.
I have the same username on BL; my store name is The Brick Baron http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=KingAlanI
@chrisalddin you're hardly the only person to buy a keychain to get a promo. I go for small regular sets, but sometimes all/moist of the cheap ones sell out.
but. i plan to use this Key-chain with my keys.
the shock, the horror, a key-chain getting used in the way it was planned to be used for.
side note. order has shipped. it look like if you order around 5am, and it not a new sale/new stock/new freebee day. your order may get shipped out same day.
WHO! Who, would do that, i would be pissed.
hell i am pissed if i get one that has a little bend in it.
that!!! if i got that!!!! i would be fuming mad.
and just to piss me off more,
WHO!! Would do that to a HARRY POTTER ITEM!!!
do people not know that doing stuff like that lowers it's resale price. hell i dam well as for a replacement. and if they had no stock. a 50% refund.
eBay is great, I owe it a lot it's been great to me. It could be better. :)
Seriously, that sucks big time!
I'll take an exclusive set from my want list for 20% off all day long.
:D These (along with the Minifigures) will hold me over until my Walmart stocks the bigger TLBM sets.
@pharmjod not having to worry about box condition is one reason I like selling parts or polybags rather than boxed sets
@pharmjod Really, you block a Buyer who asks you about it? Isn't that a bit like putting the cart before the horse? Wouldn't it depend on how the question comes in? It's been a steady supply of shitty packaging in the last 2 months on eBay, and it's never been great. If you buy on eBay and sell you know this better than most. It's natural for some Buyers to be concerned about how items are shipped. And it's not good business sense to assume that since some Dimensions players don't care about packaging, that all Buyers of Dimensions product don't care.
Best at bet is to just showcase the product you have well, then assume everyone wants the item in the condition you've shown it. Then...make sure that's how they get it.
My opinion? Receiving the question re: how are you going to DO that? It is an opportunity to do what you just did, explain how YOU ship and the extra steps YOU take, what sets YOU apart, but also explain, if it's important to your business model, that small amounts of shelf wear can't be avoided. You don't have to answer these inquiries differently every time. Keep a note saved that you like...copy/paste and build around it. Takes seconds and you don't turn away potential Buyers.
just my two cents.
want the buyer to have a decent service. If that means explaining how I pack and send their goods and most of all reassuring them. I'm more than happy to do so.
used gift card.
if i find other lego set i wish to get and dont quite have the cash and this is still on back order will cancel the order to free up the £11.25
**Also got a few at Target for $3.48, about the same after redcard discount
At one now, got 7 more 41112, 3 #10723 for $6 and #41141 for $3 (got 4 at Target for $5.03 and that's a deal)
I wasn't really sure where to post this (or if this type of post is okay?), but as it pertains to buying, I ended up here.
I've stumbled upon this pile of Lego for sale. It is apparently someone's childhood collection and they're very hesitant to sell it. But I think I see some good bits in there worth going for. I know I see the front of the Armada Flagship (top middle of pile). I also see some pieces from at least one old Pirate ship (unsure which - left side). But I'm a bit lost on everything else. Anything catch anyone else's eye?
He estimates this is 45-50lbs of bricks and wants $450 for it. I think that's a bit much, but depending on the opinions, I might take a gamble. He's trying to nail down how complete the ships are as this was only 70% of his childhood collection...his parents tossed the other 30%.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
They had S16 for $3.42, not worth it to resell lower end figures but great for higher end or ones you want anyway.
About 20 loose bags, found 1 Rogue. (Nearly) a full case behind it, but didn't have time to feel those, taking that way home to check them ASAP
LEGO + Buckets + Scale = Knowledge
So far in my experience, and not just LEGO, when a Seller shows you a big pile of stuff dumped out, parts are usually strategically placed. It's less a pile and more of an orchestration.
#70604 "Tiger Widow Island" Old RRP £39.99 [new RRP £44.99] Price payed £28.87
and
#76051 "Airport Battle" Old RRP 69.99 [new RRP 74.99] Price payed £42.74
