Once saw a couple S12 bags at $4.89, got them matched to the regular price.

Nothing much left in clearance, got #41112 $3.48, #41120 $5.03 and the 3 batman cmf bags they had left

If anything, I have seen prices on older CMF series at Target go up, not down.

Stopped by my local Target today: nothing.

As others have witness, they have no restocked LEGO.
Still some #30522 Batman in the Phantom Zone polys around.

As my Target shelves are still bare, I've been looking through some other local stores. I found a price of $2.99 for Disney CMFs at a Fred Meyer store, but they shelf was empty. Time to call and confirm if they still have any left and grab a few more.

It seems all retailer's lego shelves are still all bare

My local Target and Kmart just completely reloaded. Barnes and Noble has a full compliment of batman and 2017 city sets.
  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
I think Walmart suffered the worse (or best, depending on how you see it) regarding having empty shelves. The two Target stores I visited weren't as bad as Walmart's.
  • YodaliciousYodalicious Member Posts: 1,366
It's somewhat amazing to me that it's now Jan. 4 and they a lot of them haven't reloaded. I live in a relatively large city and my Targets are bare. I've seen a lone new Mighty Micro and that's it.
  • YodaliciousYodalicious Member Posts: 1,366
And that's after finding Batman CMFs weeks ago, but none since.
  • scotty12scotty12 Member Posts: 852

^ Haven't seen any Batman CMF as of yet.  My larger Target has even pulled the Series 16 CMF off an endcap.  So they've been selling nothing for a few weeks.  Something about rearranging the toy dept.

  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,335
I work at Target and right now most stores are resetting patio then they will reset toys. Some stores have extra help "hours" and can set more areas in the store sooner.

^ Thanks for the info. My Targets have had Xmas and before that Halloween stuff out for so long, I almost forgot that area was patio typically!

Stopped by Target tonight and found a whole stack of T Rex Tracker sets for $34.99 each. 50% off felt right- I bought 3 and left 6 or so on the shelf.

That was about about it in terms of clearance sales. They hadn't quite gotten to everything for 50% off, but I didn't see anything I couldn't live without that would soon hit 50%. A few 3 in 1 sets and a juniors set here or there.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,354
In that area at my store there's some Valentines Day stuff and some open space

webiste has #75149 for $54.99, been meaning to get an X-wing of some sort, and I could sell the figs. payday and birthday this week.

  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,564
Target in Edina MN has a BUNCH of #21117 Ender Dragon at 50% off clearance. Picked up 2.
Also still a couple #75918 T Rex Trackers at 30% off.

Is it me or has brickseek/target been really off lately from prices and quantities?

It can happen, but it's rare.  I think Monsters and Simpsons Series 2 are still "current" and their UPC codes are still linked to the CMF DPIC number in their system.  A couple years ago, I was in a Target and I saw they put out a fresh case of Series 6 long after it had retired. I scanned a UPC and the item came up not found. I asked for assistance and the employee offered to sell me them for half the current CMF price, so $2 each. I literally lifted the entire Sereis 6 display off the endcap and bought them all (the employee was cool with it as they wouldn't have to do price lookups over and over again). So if you are lucky, you may stumble upon an older set.  This is actually the best time of year for that to happen as warehouses and storerooms are bare and they are taking inventory.
Has anyone noticed some of the polybags are also under one DPCI? I saw a bunch of Captain American Civil War Polybags still $3.99 hiding behind the Star Wars and Batman polybags. The Friends Bowling Alley rang up $0.39
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,354
I've seen some polybags for $3.49 and others for $3.99 (before clearance) and the item name specifies the piece count, so I assume those are in the system as different items.

#75149 on the website for $54.99, been meaning to get an x-wing

  • MegtheCatMegtheCat Member Posts: 500
^ I really enjoyed building my X-Wing, though mine was the #75102. I remember reading they are identical.

Today I decided I'd had enough waiting on Target to stock the LBM sets so I wrote down the DPCI for Clayface and sought out an employee to go get it from the stockroom. I guess that gift card was burning a whole in my pocket!  More likely it's cold and rainy and I just want to stay in and build something.

@MegtheCat Did the employee bring the CMFs?? I'm wondering if they're told not to stock them for certain reasons. Also, I want #75102, but have missed the good sales on it.

Tonight I got #41177 for 20.98, #41121 for 20.98, #76049 for 41.98 and #30399 for .98. I went to two different stores.  One had nothing the other didn't have much stock but I did get some things for my collection so I'm happy.

Interesting If the poly bag is price per piece. I saw 28pc 30396 for $1.98 next to the 51pc 30399 for $0.39. I left the 30396. :-)

    Some sets still at 30% clearance where I'll bite once they get to 50% - #41069 #41117 #41142 #70314 #70316
No new polys no more batman cmfs.

    @MegtheCat
Yeah the actual ships in 75149 and 75102 are identical except for color scheme. 75149 is cheaperb still has Poe and BB8. 75102 is 62.99 or something like that.

    @sa1sachica
Polybag price doesn't seem directly corelated to piece count. 30399 for 39c is a steal but 30396 for 1.98 is still good for a minidoll and pieces.
  • MegtheCatMegtheCat Member Posts: 500
@josekalel He only brought out a single #70904 set - no CMF's. I thanked him for saving me from a trip to the Lego Store.

Two other Targets I checked recently have the CMF's but it's not widespread. I am honestly surprised that Walmart has gotten their Lego section back in order while Target is still barren.

I received #75102 as a birthday gift when it was on sale, but then the price went lower over the holidays. Oh well, I try not to stress over money already spent - it would drive me crazy.
  • BoomstickBoomstick Member Posts: 247
I checked all my local targets and walmart and two weeks straight empty isles. TRU still had a ton marked up and Meijer had alot on sale which I bought. Hate when I have money and can't find a way to waste it.
  • DedgeckoDedgecko Member Posts: 798
Local target is sitting on a ton (20+ on the shelves alone--just about the only thing left) of #70324 NK Library.  I wonder if they are going to keep them out another year or mass clearance them.
  • Russell844Russell844 Member Posts: 2,482
Saw an Angry birds set (castle) with a clearance tag but no sticker. Scanned it. (25% off) decent so I held onto it. Checked Amazon and saw I could get it for 28% off. Put it back.
I was just as the Target at The Plant and they had one Angry Birds Castle for 30%. I left it there.

Every time I get tempted to go out and actively hunt for discounted sets I just think back to the wasted time and gas, and the mileage I put on my vehicle doing this, and just stay home. I typically go to Target when I do my shopping and peek at the LEGO aisle or the clearance end caps, but typically do not find much (last time I was at Target the LEGO aisle was barren, and the sets there scanned for normal price).

^ Same here. It's been a while since I've found a must buy during a Target clearance. Occasionally, something I really wanted will pop up, but nothing amazing.

I picked up 1 black panther set for $20.98 and to my surprise found a cinderellas castle at another for $39.98. Decent pick ups.

My local Target has #76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas for either 25% or 30% off.  The interesting thing is I found about 30 of them in the clearance section.  That should certainly reach a better discount before being sold out. :-)

Considering those are likely from their BF promo of 40% off, yeah they probably should drop a bit more, but will they stick around before a newbie goes there and buys them?

What... maybe an online return?  I've never seen that set (or "specialty" sets like that) in any of the Targets I've been to.  Either way, nice score!
  • Sethro3Sethro3 Member Posts: 1,016
^That seems to be a trend. Do they automatically discount every online return? It seems people are always finding these sets that aren't carried in Target stores, yet they are always discounted.
  • sa1sachicasa1sachica Member Posts: 30
Last season someone returned the Friends shopping mall from an online order. Got it for $9

It seems odd that online returns would be so heavily marked down. What would prevent someone from buying an expensive online-only set, returning it, then stalking the store until it hit the shelves, and buying it at an extremely reduced price?

  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
I guess the hassle/expense of returning the item is more than putting it on clearance...in my experience, I have not seen anything like that.

I just got back from the closest Target store to me; found one LBM CMF (Harley!), and got two Friends packs for the animals (hey, I need to populate my pet store!) #41113 Party Gift Shop (rabbits!!) and #41114 Party Styling (for the cat).

I also realized they now have a specific aisle for clearance items, they didn't have many LEGO just one somewhat damaged #76049 for about $45 (not really interested, although for the Thanos CMF would be nice), some Friends and some Elves sets.

Found #41180 Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle for half off. I don't collect Elves but at $50 for a cool looking, well reviewed set, why not. Will build it on a rainy day.

And was able to get 18 of the 20 Batman figs at Target, too. Just need Batgirl and Vacation Batman.

My thoughts exactly. Granted, you aren't guaranteed you would be able to buy it again at a reduced price, but it does seem to always be marked down whenever there is an online return. I guess by doing it enough, maybe the store will change their policy? I don't know. My ethics prevent me from attempting that, so more power to whomever that wants to play the system I guess.

And to Ma1234 - The Ragana castle is really fun. I actually do like Elves and my daughter got it for Christmas. It has neat colors and little things here and there. And at that price, good job. Ours was full price, but my mom bought it back in August when it came out, so win some/lose some I guess.

All I managed to find worthwhile on clearance was 41111 Friends-Party Train for $5.03
I can use the two hamsters for my Pet Shop modular, the bright light orange bicycle will give our minifigs a new colored bike to ride, the party hat pieces are new,two printed tiles & the rest of the pieces will get tossed into the parts bin all for about the same price as a polybag. There were a few other sets but nothing worth buying even at supposed clearance prices

Only a few clearance sets scattered around, still at 30%. A lot are disney princess which has relatively high MSRP.

    @madforLEGO @Yodalicious
There's a Target right in my neighborhood so nearly no extra travel but I still waste a lot of time looking around

@josekalel #41113 and #41114 kat ($3.48?) are decent parts packs especially if you want any yourself @MrJ_NY #41111 at $5.03 is great

@KingAlanI Yeah, I mean, I still have to figure out how to use the pastel colored bricks, but I wanted them for the animals for the Pet Shop.

Still finding a few good deals here and there. Target near me has moved most clearance toys into two or three aisles. Picked up a #75094 Tydirium unmarked at 50% off yesterday. Still a huge number of #21117 Ender Dragons at 50% off sitting on the shelves. Might grab a couple more if they go down to 70% off.

It's worth it to check for clearance aisles. When all the clearance items disappeared from the Lego aisle, I found them on end caps or in a few aisles near the sporting goods.

What happened to fyndly.com? I used to use it for current Target markdowns, but now it appears to be completely useless.

My local Targets have not restocked their LEGO aisles as of yesterday, but they do have the new sets online with pick up at store option. So last night I ordered #70911 The Penguin Artic Roller and pick it up at the Target by the office at 8AM just before work :-)

^ Mine all seem to have restocked TLBM sets, but nothing else yet. Plenty of Lego Batman around though. With the exception of CMFs. Only found those so far at one Target, one Walmart, and one Barnes & Noble.
