My only issue with the Batmobile is that the tires don't spin very well with the wheels pushed onto the technic axles to accommodate the hub caps. I may try kidding it with a bit longer axle to see if that helps.
love the build, love the model.
wish it was bigger.
but still love it.
For my final post of this year, I am proud to introduce the Range Rover Evoque with air ride.
Thanks to all for the comments and suggestions in my WIP thread to create a better SUV.
The car was too black so I added white, it was too low so I raised it a stud and the hood wasn't
slanted enough so I re-created the front of the vehicle. I reduced the weight to 6.3 pounds (2850g)
The car funtions really well, I highly suggest using an S-brick for this car as the receivers are hidden
behind the seats. This car has 4wd, air ride, torsion bar suspension, 2 XL motors for drive, 2 m motors for lift, V8,
servo for steering, gear shifter turns on the lights. The car is finally to a perfect scale. The hard parts of this
build was the air ride, torsion bar and having the doors start low at the front and higher at the back. I bought a pair of custom chrome exhaust pipes for this built.

I've created a batman version of it a while back.
But I have already started preparing for next Christmas to be able to compete with some of the awesome displays people have posted here ;)
All set to go, spent a couple of hours last night and a bit of time spreadout during today.
Currently somewhere around step 180, got the motor in and the steering is functioning. Its a great build.
I'm still only at step 70, friends round tonight so might get an hour on it tomorrow.
Then I wanted to do something really new, so I went with newest thing I had, the TIE Striker. I never dug how it looked in pics. Funny thing is that most pics do not do it justice. Nor does this one. But as I type this I'm looking at it and it's cool looking from so many angles it must look pretty cool on screen. Just one of those odd things. The Interceptor doesn't shoot well either in still photography.
the rest of the Home One is booooring.
Been progressing my XXL Batcave/Wayne Manor too, but run out of certain parts again.
I ordered #21303 WALL-E back in early January 2016, not long after coming out of my Dark Ages, but hasn't had a chance to put him together yet. As one of my favorite Pixar characters, he looks just as great in Lego as I had imagined!
Next step: motorize him. I had ordered the parts required together with the set, so looking forward to have WALL-E finally run around my house :)
Wishing everybody all the best for 2017, and may the year be filled with happy Lego moments!
One of my ongoing projects is an audience for #41105 Pop Star Show Stage. I take figs from sets I part out, and mix and match parts from duplicates.
I decided to open 21 #30399 and use several other duplicates. It's fun to build instead of handle inventory. I have some extra pieces so I'm BrickLinking enough to make complete figures and resisting the temptation to order more.
I've been meaning to build more seats. I see a deal on a large quantity of more minidoll foot holders (part 93905, 1x2x1 panel with divider)
Yeah, LEGO is making progress with having more female minifigures. The businesswoman, painter and lawnmower operator in #60134 come to mind. The starter sets are 1 in 4 women. Some other themes have a similar mix of main characters, which seems like a good balance between idealism and realism. It is easier with hair since that's one way to make the fig female.
It could be worse- it used to be about 90/10.
I mainly order from [email protected] when there's an interesting GWP or double VIP. However [email protected] EU this month is only offering a free #30378 Shrunken Headquarters with any Nexo Knight purchase, and as I don't collect this theme I'll have to spend my money elsewhere this month :)
Does not look like much yet having only completed the first bag (which also contains Krennic and the two Death Trooper minifigures) yesterday.
Built this today. Was inspired by the above Wall-E and also by the need to be robotic after an exhausting Day with the boy. He's been hard to handle today.

It is not at all easy to build a large, sturdy octagonal tower out of Lego.
I'm about two-thirds done.
Orders still in their boxes (the 2 Deathstar inner boxes are temporary storages used by 2 orders that were done for this project earlier). The boxes in the background are the permanent storage and not part of the orders
After all got repacked to cardboard boxes for easier access (those get relayouted for the build)
Also, Licorice + Toothpick = No sticky LEGO

I restarted Brick Bank while watching TV last night, but only did a couple steps - late in bag 2, up to 104 or so. I wanted to multitask but couldn't focus on either, a general problem. A challenging build like that would be more involved. I wear distance glasses so it would be hard to keep looking up and down.
