    It doesn't even look like Lego! Great photography work with the lighting.

    I think it's an LDD type one rather than actual photo, but I could be wrong

    Trick of the light, or are those blue?

    ^^In the flickr it says  'It was made with LDD, and rendered with Pov-Ray.'

    It's really nice, thanks for pointing it out!

    After further reflection, I am also sorry if this made you sad or made your day worse. I just like how this community supports each other and we never give up. I will just say thank you for being nice to me. Reading some of these comments and everyone getting along has helped me get through some bad times.
    Sometimes, getting things off your chest will make you feel better. This is a very understanding and supportive community. All you have to do is look at @Legoboy 's 100k walk thread.
    Oh... We weren't just doing that so some bloke would torture himself for 24 straight hours?

    One light on an office elevator reminds me of a 1x2x2/3 slope (part 85984), taller side facing upward. Yeah, I got LEGO on the brain.
    @LostInTranslation
    since I work at a library I find it odd to see DVD cases without our markings. I'm visualizing the genre stickers. Those would have blue COM (comedy) or pink FAM (family). My example pic is green DRA (drama) - http://www.mediafire.com/view/bbg372bne58tpyq/
    Also, in the US, ratings are on the back of the case near the bottom rather than on the spine

    @stlux
    Trouble is it's the only size they've got, the Disney Castle would have been in the same box. ;)

    DHL actually delivered the Disney Castle yesterday, and fortunately it came in a larger box ;)

    But yes, it seems they only have 3 box sizes:
    • medium (wouldn't call the one pictured above small; there's about a dozen smaller box sizes)
    • large (used for sets that could fit in the smaller version, but then the 15+ airbags they want to add wouldn't fit)
    • oversized (fits 2x 4000 pieces sets with still space for 30 airbags, or 1x a 2000 pieces set + 75 airbags)
    Having a limited number of box sizes but a mountain of airbags must work out cheaper/more efficient for them.

    /rant about first-world problem (well, not even a problem) over ;)

    ^ Better that they go too large with a box and use plenty extra padding. You can always make the delivery kinder to the environment by reusing the excess they sent you and I find it useful to have packing materials to hand to send something out quickly but securely.

    When we complain about too much packaging companies revert to plastic bags instead of boxes and we all know how that often turns out. :o)

    I just finished watching Ghostbusters (1984) for the first time. Why didn't I watch this movie sooner...

    ...the bad news is for my wallet. After watching this movie I'm more keen on purchasing the #75827 - Firehouse Headquarters, it would be a fine addition to my collection.

    I visited Houston Galleria's LEGO store yesterday and was disappointed with the small and bad selection of torsos and legs at the Build Your Own Minifigure display. I really wanted to get some but didn't feel there was anything worth getting.

    Current status: still getting over missing out on the gingerbread man offer in [email protected] Made an order a week before the offer started to make sure I got some keychains delivered well in time to be wrapped before Christmas. Had a few things on my wants list to get to €35 for free delivery and read on here they'd run out of them online.

    The gingerbread house in my Christmas display in work looks so *ahem* desserted without the fig.
    I was busy buying stuff from Target - often other retailers have better deals than [email protected] even accounting for value of promos.

    -

    Speaking of Target, they also use huge boxes with tons of airbags.

    Finally opened most of the CMFs I bought on Monday. I've been waiting for a quiet moment in my partner's absence, because I'd felt out in the shop that one was the Mariachi, but then the pieces had moved around in all the bags and I needed to be sure which one it was so I could save it for his stocking.

    The others are a second banana guy (I mean, he's my second CMF with a banana suit; I don't think he's specifically intended to be a Second Banana :P), a second Rogue, who'll be good for my medieval/fantasy scenes, and the Desert Warrior, who I've been wanting to get for ages. :)

    Bit frustrating still not to have found the Spooky Boy, but I'll either trade for some in the new year or buy a bunch of the heads on Bricklink (still thinking about my custom Vampire Chronicles figures)...

    No problem. It might work for other hosts too (flickr, imgur, Vimeo, etc). I'm not sure if it's possibly to directly upload a video in a forum post though.

    I'm at my in laws waiting for Christmas. I don't have any lego to build. It feels weird. My fingers are restless... and I am being forced to watch Emmerdale.

    lego status. for the last week.

    built 3 set's over the last week.
    #70603 Raid Zeppelin.
    #70593 The Green NRG Dragon.
    and
    #70605 Misfortune's Keep.
    built in that order.

    i also pulled out all of my Ninjago Skybound sets, that i own and have them all on display. i have 1 more Skybound set cumming for christmas. and i would like to get 2 others as well, at a later point. there is also the small set #70591 that if i see it at a good price i may get it.

    it make for Quite the display all them Ninjago Skybound sets.
    and Misfortune's Keep was a fun if a little tricky build.

    moved the christmas display to the living room. next to the christmas tree.

    played Nexo Knights Game on my new Fire Tablet. it is a nice game when it's not crashing because your ipad 2 (2011) has run out of free system ram, and dump's the open program with out telling you why. i love my ipad but some time apple mass up big time. the only system to block games that will not work on older ipad is the apple OS. and a ipad 2 can be updated still. so you can download a game or app and you only know that it's to new to work on a ipad 2 when it crash's on you.
    ipad 2 rant over now. back to lego.

    i plan to post a pick of my Christmas Lego haul on here on christmas day. but we will wait and see if i remember to do so.

    i now have a Amazon Fire tablet. and would like to know what is the best app to use to view info on Brickset. the app made just to view info. not loading up a webpage.

    ^ I use myBrickset, not sure how to load it up on a Fire (I've installed Cyanogenmod on my Fire), but it is in Google Play Store and you can also download the APK file separately (there's a thread for it on this forum)

    Still a day's Prime Delivery to go.  Save yourself.
    Maybe I should consider placing an order myself.

    The sciatica problem.  Minor procedure under general, second in 6 weeks.  Out now and making way to the office.
    @Legoboy
    Many more of these and you will have a wing in the hospital named after you.  ;)

    Hope the recovery is swift and that you are well enough to enjoy yourself over Christmas.

    @MaffyD
    Glad your getting back to normality after your op.
    (and I'm not really posting, this is all a figment of you imagination).

    Finished work now until 2nd January :-)
    Will hopefully find time to rearrange the man-cave a bit and get stuck into Palace Cinema - another set that's been waiting over 3 years to be built!
