On my own purchasing front, I've made a completely nostalgia fueled Dimensions purchase from Amazon this morning of #71244 Sonic, #71256 Gremlins and #71258 E.T.
I definitely have a major problem. I've played the actual game once for an hour about 3 months ago now and have completely filled a shelf in my bookshelf with Dimensions stuff.
...at first glance. For whatever reason, someone had left/hidden the Batman movie ones behind the Disney ones. (Or more likely, a Target employee relocated the Disney ones from somewhere else in the store and just put them on the hangers.)
I was proud of myself for not buying some of the sets that had great prices but that I ultimately wasn't interested in for the parts or the sets as a whole.
Of course TLG managed to only send me Gingerbread Man... Very happy to have managed to get it before it ran out at S@H EU but not nice that they still managed to forget to include the A-wing Pilot even after I had contacted them about this promo not applying correctly on their **** website.
Have contacted CS once more to get this fixed...
Indirectly, it resulted in a lot of Lego splurging this year as we expected to apply sooner than we've actually been able to, and therefore didn't make any travel plans (because we assumed his passport would be in a bureaucratic pile somewhere in the Home Office), so the holiday money went into the De-Stressing With Lego fund instead.
Next year: restraint!!! Economising!!!
I may just have bought a lot of cut-price retiring Nexo Knights to save for those thin times... Beastmaster's Chaos Chariot, a couple of Chaos Catapults, and the Knighton Battle Blaster.
It would have been rude not to pick this set up and partake of 1/3 off, especially as it's one of the few Nexo knights sets that I have on my wanted list.
Just dawned on me...I don't really have a huge amount of Star Wars LEGO. Wonder why?
Contemplate, I must.
#60134 Fun in the park for 17,34€ (60% off RRP, Amazon.fr)
And since Bol.com sent me a 5€ voucher with no minimum spend required I went for some Nexo wave 3 stuff...
Because it is a rabbit hole you don't want to go down. Just stick with iconic vehicles and you bill probably be ok =)
;)
Of course, I did a little digging, and realized there be a lot of repeats in the Star Wars line...like everything else I guess. I had a Sail Barge from 06 I guess? Gave it to my son a while back. Maybe I'll look at the one from a few years ago. I just want to get it fairly cheaply, like everything else. But aftermarket Star Wars tends to be the most expensive of all the LEGO.
Hey...I may have just answered my own question. DOH.
For years I've been trying to extricate myself from the fangs of completionism in regards to SW, and what have I achieved... well, I can proudly say that I have refrained from buying numerous polybags over the last 5-6 years.
And have refused to purchase the re-released Death Star (woot woot)
Here's what my SW display looked like back in 2010...
@catwrangler, you are too right! The anxiety is a terrible thing, and it's resulted in a somewhat tumultuous and disorganised household with lots of Lego, Christmas and SO MUCH PAPER everywhere. I'm in the second half of the prior 5 years before PR. Best of luck to you and your partner, I hope it all goes smoothly.
That's an amazing collection @gratefulnat
I think I've said it before, but I do worry about the positioning of your #10129!
Now that it's boxed and stored I'm feeling and sleeping much better.
:-)
Stopped buying Lego.
Target's sale last week CLEARED. ME. OUT.
Didn't know the maze was already marked as "Retiring Soon".

Actually, all those sets were taking down years ago and washed by hand and boxed up. My new LEGO room is half the size, so now my sets are rotated frequently enough and I can avoid getting too friendly with dust :)
Saw all the new technic sets in a store today, but refrained from buying any, although I do like the looks of #42064...
I bought all the OT sets from Series 1 and 2 but skipped Series 3 completely. So glad TLG released another OT starfighter in Series 4. Looks great on its stand with the rest of my collection :)
Will add photos to Flickr tomorrow...
lego store brickwall and hopefully a gingerbread man! overslept the promo in the internet store... OR the gingerbread man promo never did go online here in austria!
local TRU
and german town passau, hopefully i can find a KARSTADT or GALERIA KAUFHOF there!
The wrapping paper is to already prepare for next year's Secret Santa. Or not. It's a secret ;)
On another note exceptional Score at a garage sale.
$40 for both #31012 AND #3843.
Not new but from what @VorpalRyu is figuring they are complete and in near new condition. The light brick even still works!! :D
I think I'm doing well at the moment, too bad our bank account doesn't seem to agree. HAHA
Had already forgotten I ordered this LEGO Certified Professional set last week:
There's both a small (the one in my picture) and a larger 2128 pieces one available.
And you might want to start following the A Comprehensive List of LEGO Certified Professional Sets? thread ;)
