Thanks Todd awe I really wanted the chess set

It's an amazing chess set (I sold it in a lot with all of the other LEGO chess sets that I had).  Honestly, the box it came in is almost as impressive as the set itself -- it's just enormous.  I was always amazed that LEGO would actually try to sell a set with a box that large.  If you can pick one up elsewhere, I highly recommend it -- it's one of my favorite sets.

Seeing that this thread just rolled over to a new page, I thought I would repost my note on what's left:

I still have everything listed here: http://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-ToddMyers

Plus a few other sets, all of which are shown elsewhere in this post:

    Cat Mosaic
    Tiger Mosaic
Breaking Bad Meth Lab and Albuquerque Action Squad
    Bryant Van Kit
Master Builder / Dragon Duplo Brick

I still have most (probably all) of the empty boxes that I listed on page 3, too.

There have been a few questions about the status of my remaining sets, so just to clarify:  with the exception of the items listed below, all of my sets listed on my Brickset list (http://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-ToddMyers) are still available and are currently built with stickers applied.  All are complete with box and instructions.  Exceptions and oddities:

395: 1909 Rolls-Royce - Stickers not applied, still on original sticker sheet

760: London Bus - Stickers not applied, still on original sticker sheet

4534: LEGO Express - Only blue passenger car open and built; remainder still sealed

5524: Airport - LEGO never included instructions, will include print-out

5525: Amusement Park - LEGO never included instructions, will include print-out

5541: Blue Fury - All but one sticker still on original sticker sheet (the applied sticker is in excellent condition)

19710: Sears Tower - Box open, all bricks still sealed

21050: Architecture Studio - Box open, all bricks still sealed

40153: Birthday Table Decoration - Includes red minifig legs for the Jester (no idea why LEGO did not include these with the set)

852266: LEGOLAND Olli Keychain - One arm has become unglued; Kragle recommended

2000414: Starter Kit - Box open, all bricks still sealed

Regarding my two 1831 Maersk Line Container Lorry sets, one has “Maersk” stickers applied and the other has “Maersk Sealand” stickers applied.

Regarding my two 3443 Mosaics, one is the cat mosaic (k34431) and the other is the tiger mosaic (k34434). Pictures of both are further up in this thread.

Finally, regarding my Santa Fe trains, I am selling the complete train as one lot:
10020: Santa Fe Super Chief Limited Edition (tile #A3011)

This summer has been absolutely dead for online sales.   Hoping it's a seasonal thing and sales pick back up as fall approaches....

All still available for sale: http://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-ToddMyers

Still looking for homes for my remaining sets.  PM me if you want pricing on anything.

    Still available for sale: http://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-ToddMyers

Plus the Bryant Van kit given out at the National Dealer Convention, February 26 to March 3, 2006 (designed by Nathan Sawaya) and both of my mosaics. Note that the tiger mosaic is not yellowed -- just poor lighting.

Looks like the summer sales drought is starting to end, as a few sales have trickled in.  You can see what I have left here: http://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-ToddMyers

Send me a private message for pricing.   CMF Series 12 (assembled with accessories and stands, no packaging) is still $70 w/ free domestic shipping, and the three monster fighter keychains are $18 for all three w/ free domestic shipping.

  • ToddMyersToddMyers Member Posts: 403
So... it's now been one full year since I started selling off my collection.  I started with roughly 646 sets to be sold (counting each complete CMF series as a single set), and I'm now down to 132 sets still left.  I had no idea that I could move 80% of my sets in a year, so many thanks to the buyers here and elsewhere who have purchased from me.  The best part?  I've managed to avoid eBay like the plague.  Gold star for me.

The sell-off continues.  Hopefully I can wipe out most of what remains by the end of the year.

Send me a PM if you want pricing, or send me an offer.  I can usually offer a discount if multiple sets are purchased.  Don't think I'm going to realize my goal of having all of my sets gone by the end of the year, but hopefully I can make a decent dent in my remaining collection.

I may have mentioned this somewhere upthread, but if there are any mosaic collectors out there, my tiger mosaic (K34434) is a bit unusual.  Mine came with "alternate" instructions, which were more likely than not prototype instructions that should not have been included (there were not enough black 1x1s to complete the build).  I was able to obtain a copy of the correct instructions, so this set comes with both variants for the instructions.  It also comes with a box in good shape and the original packing slip (I believe that these mosaics were hand-packed at LEGO, so they included a packing slip on the inside of the sealed box).

I've attached a picture of the prototype build (my set includes 60 extra black 1x1s so that you can complete the alternate build if you want).  If you compare it to the picture of the correct version (above in this thread), you can see that the prototype is not quite as sharp, and the easy way to tell them apart is the colored tiles in the upper right-hand corner -- the prototype build only has four non-black 1x1s in that corner, whereas the correct build has about 16 non-black 1x1s there.

The prices listed in my CraigsList ads are not set in stone and I will consider  reasonable offers.  It's still not a fire sale, so resellers likely won't be interested, but collectors may find some decent sets to fill in their collection.  I can usually offer a 10% discount if multiple sets are purchased.

Still looking for some buyers for my remaining sets (links in the post above).  Send me a PM if you are interested, and I will consider offers.  10% discount if multiple sets are purchased still applies.

I just found an archive of my collection before I started selling off.  If you are interested in seeing what was, I uploaded the pictures to imagebam and you can see the gallery here:

Some of my pictures have gone AWOL, but I think this covers about 95% of the collection as it existed around September 2015.

Any mosaic collectors out there?  I have two:

    K34434 - Mosaic Tiger - $300
K34431 - Mosaic Cat - $275 (box in poor condition)

As I explained upthread somewhere, the Tiger Mosaic is a bit of an oddity.  My Tiger mosaic originally came with alternate build instructions that were clearly not intended to be sent out with the set - I did not have enough black 1x1s to complete the build. I obtained a COPY of the correct instructions, so both will be included with the set (along with the 60 or so extra black 1x1s that I purchased in case you want to build the alternate version). Set will be shipped assembled (using the correct instructions, not the alternate version).

10% discount if you buy both.
