So our local store here has had the same 8 star wars advents and 5 or 6 city advents on the shelf for the past month for $20 ea.  Today I walk in to see over 100 star wars and about 60 city.  If history repeats itself in 2 weeks they will all be marked down to $5.

I wish something like would happen at one of our local retailers, wanting a few more for some of the minifigures & parts.

Been looking for some Monster Fighters Sets and got #9463 The Werewolf, #9466 The Crazy Scientist and #9465 The Zombies for £90 the lot which I'm stoked at as haven't been able to find The Zombies for under £100 on its own. Just hope everything is as claimed when arrives.

Dropped by my favorite local thrift store yesterday, was initially disappointed to only find #4115 Creator All That Drives Bucket for $15 with some extra stuff shoved in the tub.  Got it home and found that it was only missing two small plates, but also had #3423 Freekick Frenzy, #3424 Target Practice, and #8134 Racers Night Crusher, all complete with instructions.

Managed to get this small lot from eBay for £7.70. The highlight for me was the 40109-1: MINI Cooper Mini Model that was included.

I agree, open it! and record the crinkly sound those perforated bags make. Sigh, the nostalgia of my childhood :D

I've been looking at one near me for £80 as well. I cannot imagine there are two of them. If I didn't have other priorities I would have snapped that up sooner. Enjoy your build.

I snagged the last Millennium Falcon in my area for $119.00.

The box is beat up, and truthfully it may come back later and at a better price, but I was happy to get one at 25% off.

Not a super deal, but I picked up a lone copy of #70228 Vultrix's Sky Scavenger at TJ Maxx for $23.99. It was one of the few Chima sets I missed and includes the only character I needed to complete that roster.

Found a NISB #10217 Diagon Alley for retail ($150) on Craigslist. Unfortunately just missed out on a NISB #10210 Imperial Flagship from the same seller, also for retail ($175). So I am simultaneously ecstatic and distraught.

For the measly sum of £50, I've managed to procure a smorgasbord of train stuff via a Lego selling group on FB: 3 9V switches, 8 straight 9V track pieces, 8 train related figs, and a variety of parts & pieces including a train base, several wheel sets, and parts from the Santa Fe loco and TTX container car.

The seller also says there's some more train stuff (including windows, probably for the Santa Fe loco) so who knows what else will be arriving. :3

Just bought some Lego from a friend who's son is selling his collection that was passed down to him. 14 years worth for £250 and the thing that caught my eye in amongst the whole lot was #10198 which I am assured is all there. Sadly as I am moving house soon I won't get a chance to test it out for ages but fingers crossed.

Looked on Gumtree at approximately 13:40, #10243 and #10251 from the same seller, built, complete + spares, books, no boxes but only displayed for less than 4 weeks by a Chinese student TFOL who is returning home and couldn't send them back for some reason.

They are now in my possession for £200. Its almost BOGOF and I have now popped my modular cherry, feels good too (physically and visually, not financially, worth it).

I dont normally go outside my realm of modulars, winter, and carnival themed sets but stumbled across a used Statue of Liberty labeled as incomplete...pictured half built with one side faded.  Picked it up for 200 after looking closely at pictures and counting how many bricks made up the large put together main torso piece.

Took it all apart last night and sorted into various groups and counted all the 2x2 corner bricks.  504 as needed.  All 4 macaroni pieces.  Counting others later tonight but very excited so far.

Have some cleaning (dust) and attempts at peroxide treatment, but majority of bricks are great considering how many are "inside" and were not subjected to light.  I think I will make out alright!

I got a $6 bag at the local thrift store containing the helicopter from #60014, a nearly complete #60059 logging truck, and #21002 Empire State Building, and some loose parts I have not tracked down yet. Also picked up a tub of K'nex for $5 - and was happy to find a #7052 Alien Abduction set mixed in the tub, only missing the light brick and a few purple parts, which I remember seeing in a bag from a couple of weeks ago.

I'm convinced there is a sadistic AFOL in the sorting room, because I keep getting partial sets that get filled in a week or two later. I found the stern of the ship in #60014 a couple of weeks ago, got the helicopter last night, hoping the rest will show up soon.

^That's awesome you're piecing things together at least for such a good price. My main thrift store I frequent for Lego seems to be feast or famine. And they usually way over price stuff. So I have to hope I can snag it on a discount day for it to actually be worth it.

I found a #21003 Space Needle this week...for $50! I politely told the worker who was helping me (as it was barricaded in their "nice things" displays) that they may want to reconsider how they're pricing things. If I can get it on a Dollar Day, then I'll do it.

I did find one of the cars for the Hogwarts Express once upon a time and desperately hoped the other cars would turn up. I must have visited that store 30 times that week and the new few weeks just in case.

^The shop I get most of mine from usually has great prices, if you're not worried about having a complete set, but they get "confused" too. I've bought 5 complete Creationary sets from them for $5 or $6 each. Last night they had one in the "nice things" section for $40.

In that instance they might have finally found out what it was worth!

I just made a quick lunch run over to my thrift store and found a complete #7158 Furno Bike for $5 (bike and Furno only). I don't have any hero factory stuff, so I picked it up as I know my son will love it!
