    I had been putting off ever getting one of these, now one is on the way from Target (whom I assume Amazon is price-matching).

    Finally picked one up as well. Used my $40 coupon for getting  an amazon store card so I ended up getting it for $48 after tax

    I already have 3 #60051... must.. resist... temptation.

    Two extra passenger cars per extra set, plus parts to motorize #10254 Winter Holiday Train or venture into MOCing train engines. My passenger train is already 7 carts/engines long.

    I have two Passenger trains already, albeit bought at a larger price than 83.99, but I just cannot buy more of these, even when Amazon had them at about 94 a piece at the BOGO40 a couple of weeks ago, I bought a couple then cancelled the order.. Just do not want more than two of these.

    Same. I have one from last time they were $84 and have the wreckage from at least one complete passenger car from a bulk buy. That is enough for me. I will wait for the next city or hopefully creator expert train.

    I would totally pick up a passenger train at $84, if I could ever actually catch it in stock at that price. I always seem to miss it.

    I think so too, but at this price, it's worth building it especially before Rogue One kicks up the SW fever again.

    Sandcrawler is down to 292.99, now 291.32 after about a minute now, guessing it may drop dramatically if they match the TRU sale. There is a big sale going on at TRU apparently (40% off a bunch of sets, but BP vultures swooped in and grabbed most of the good deals apparently) which may be why some of these prices are occurring.

    @madforLEGO - a LUGmate sent me a screenshot of the TRU website that had the Sandcrawler for $179.99. It's OOS now, but he was able to get an order for one in. We'll see if it actually ships though.

    Yeah @pharmjod was saying the vultures at bp were apparently buying up all the stocks, the Mixer for 89.99 was awesome too, but missed that one as well. Interesting to know how many TRU really had lying around.

    My local TRU doesn't carry any of the D2C sets. I am forced to buy from the Lego store if I want instant gratification.

    I wish I could find a High Speed Passenger Train for that price. But every time I look it is back over $100. It would be my first train! I always wanted one as a kid, but they were too expensive.

    I feel your pain. My first train was #4561 in the late 90's. I had gotten back into LEGO city, and I thought 'I never had a train so Ill get one' now Im missing only 1 train set since 1980, and that is #7750 (and at its price, likely not getting it unless I strike gold in a LEGO lot at some point but doubt it).

    Never fear, Im guessing the train will be back down to that price again before Christmas given how many times it has hit that mark lately.
