Pet Shop just won't die. Now on backorder status, so you can still buy it.
Still, 120 for a mod is pretty darn good.

I was (crazily) determined to make it to the Lego Store at the Galleria after work today because my dad is really keen on us going out to breakfast tomorrow morning. And I really need/want that Snowglobe. So after braving awful traffic both in the streets and inside the mall, I finally have it!

Much to my dismay the VIP system was not working & I had to trade out one of the sets I was buying with points for a cheaper one. Now I need to call CS to get the points added to my account, but on the upside, I will now have $40 of points to spend next time.

There were just a few people at the local store this morning.

No Pet Shop available (they ran out a while back), but I already have two.

    I grabbed:
    - #21304 Doctor Who
    - #40161 What am I?
    - #41122 Adventure Camp Tree House (my 2nd Friends set)
    - #41063 Ariel's Undersea Palace (1st Disney Princess set)
    - Mixels S9 Trashoz (completed Series 3-9)

W00T first modular acquired!  Got Pet Shop under $90 with some vip points that were burning a hole in my pocket for far too long.

I braved the crowds at my local Lego store and picked up a 2nd #21304 and #10244. Plus I got a second Snow Globe.

Does anyone know if the calendar has any added bonuses like in previous years?  I have heard no, but that was a few weeks ago before they came out.

*EDIT* Nevermind, I see that there are none.

So depending on unknown factors, I get either 4,5,8, or 12 pages of sale items when clicking to the 'sales & deals' section. They really need to get their stupid site to function better. Unless you have a list of what is on sale from someone who did all the legwork you could easily miss stuff.

Anyway, I bought the Upsize Red Mug as I finally discovered it was on sale and I have had my eye on that for awhile.

So tempting but I've spent enough these last few months. Maybe if I stand next to it and look pathetic someone will buy it for me.

I'm trying to convince myself I need another one. I know it's now or never and I have to make up my mind.

My local LEGO store @ Mission Viejo had a few #40166 LEGOLAND Train; I don't recall the price.

I thought they were exclusive to LEGOLAND parks.

Is your local store a LEGO store, or a LEGO discovery center? Discovery centers had them as well, but LEGO stores having them would be news to me, they are I think about 15-16 dollars depending where you are at.

It's the LEGO store @ The Shops at Mission Viejo mall.
    No Discovery Centers in California.

I bought one earlier this year at LEGOLAND.

^ Don't know, but there about 10 on the middle stand where they have the seasonal "mini" sets. I was in a bit of a hurry, so it did not occurred me to ask.

I thought it may be a return, if it was only 1 or 2... but 10?Pretty interesting. I missed out on these sets in Schaumburg LDC, and would not mind if they pop up at a LEGO store.

It is the LEGO "Shop at Home" web page.

You think the PS will be around for double points AND the gingerbread man promo?
Think the snow globe will also be around for next weekend?

#40166 is not at my local LEGO store-at least at this time (and I think the rep that answered the phone thought I was a bit loopy for asking). Has anyone else see the #40166 at their local LEGO store (other than @JooTog at the mission Viejo CA store)?

Not exactly a Like, but informative. Guess I'll wait for gingerbread man. I have $20 in points I've been meaning to use. I keep finding bigger discounts off S@H.

Stopped by the Mission Viejo LEGO store this morning:

Asked about them and was told that the Mission Viejo and Fashion Valley (San Diego) stores were the only ones that carried them because they are the closest ones to LEGOLAND... There is another store in San Diego (Westfield), but maybe the guy was not aware of it.

Anyway, grabbed one (my 2nd one) just because :-)

It didn't occurred to me until I was on my way home that I should have asked if there are plans for other LEGOLAND sets to make an appearance. I regret not buying #40115 LEGOLAND Entrance with Family when I visited the park earlier this year.

    I'm sure.

If anything, I think the stores NOT near a LEGOLAND should carry them; not everybody can just travel to a LEGOLAND for shopping.

Well I'm guessing it has to be a LEGOLAND and not a LEGOLAND discovery center, as the Schaumburg LEGO store does not have these, as they are about 5 minutes away from the LDC.

I'm planning on getting #71016 Kwik-E-Mart on Saturday for double-points (and another wonderful coupon-less calendar), and next week probably some S@H PaB for the promo.

Wallet will me OK as I'm probably gonna have to pick up extra credit cards... the bank account, not so much ;-)

None of two LEGO stores close by have either set on display anymore; you have to ask them to get them from storage. The house has been out for close to three years, so I got one a few weeks back just in case is close to retirement.

Got the Mart today for double points. Already have both CMF series and the Dimensions packs, so theme completed :-)

My guess is that both sets will likely disappear at the same time and both are on borrowed time. Then again I presumed the Tower Bridge and VW Camper Van were as well, so who knows?
  • dspigeldspigel Member Posts: 478
I need both of the Simpsons sets but Amazon keeps posting deals and I spend all my money on them. However both the house and mart are on display at my local Lego store,

We get that, but you have to understand this is not something that has only happened once, but many times.. BEFORE their 'upgrades' to their site as well. I get that stuff happens, but when you are one of the biggest toy manufacturers in the world, maybe they could devote some time to stop this stuff from occurring. Just saying
