Are you using a red credit card or red debit card? I kind of understand why you wouldn't want to use the whole amount in credit, but it has to be paid regardless so that sort of exercise just seems to be wasted effort. I fail to see any point in partial paying like that unless you are paying the balance with a discounted gift card.

Debit card. Loading it up is a bank trip which I'd sometimes rather avoid.
I might want to unload small bills or break a large bill, but using a gift card is a good way to pay the remainder.

@ryjay I never see discounted polys. the friends poly racks disappeared in my store's Thanksgiving/Christmas setup.

17 of #30279? Are you buying them as a giveaway for something?

@KingAlanI I see. My redcard is linked to my normal checking account so there is always a balance to pull from if need be.

Target has 20% off Star Wars and City sets right now.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,353
    I found another rack. I got 14 more 30279 and 5 30447, leaving 11 30279. 19x3.49 = 66.31, 62.99 after redcard, 68.03 after tax - 67 card and 1.03 cash worked.
17 of #30279? Are you buying them as a giveaway for something?
Flipping on BrickLink. Average price for 30279 and 30447 is 5 something, so 4.99 should work with room for discounts. 30447 also has part out ratio of about 2x; I've parted out 5 before but listed these sealed with a comment that I also have parts and minifig available.

I often don't keep a balance, and right now I'm conserving my redcard and giftcard for this week's online sales. Speaking of which...

    Part out ratio above 2.5x:
    #70593 3.12x
    Friends - #41112 2.68x, #41124 2.59x, #41111 2.57x, #41104 2.54x, #41118 2.51x
    Star Wars - #75152 2.69x, #75141 2.61x, #75148 2.59x, #75145 2.53x, #75147 2.51x

    My data: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ib4c7zfz6a3495a/Part_Out_Value_2016.12.10.xlsx

I'm not sure if I want to get into Amusement Park, it might get even cheaper, and I want to focus on BrickLink inventory noy personal collection. I'll get the polybag, #30399 Bowling Alley, while I have the chance.
Friends riding horses don't seem appropriate for Castle warhorses, shades of realism?
I want the minidolls from #41131, but the rest of the parts or BrickLinking just the figs isn't a good deal. Do LEGO advent calendars get cheaper after Christmas?

#7281 T and curve road plates for $11.19 seems cool if that's your thing. I barely have enough space for my current layout.

A previous post said that using redcard and giftcard online gets 5% off the whole order, not just the redcard part. That seems to be true.
    Just ordered #30399, 2 #41112 and 3 #70593

Looks like Target is having a $10 off $50 / $25 off $100 sale on Toys

And Lego isn't listed as an exclusion!

Is this too good to be true?

@77ncaachamps  thanks for the information...order placed and the discount was automatic, didn't even have to enter the code.

Claas tractor is $105 ish after $25 off and red card discount.

The code does not work on any of the modulars, but does work on the Class tractor.
  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,728
it does work on Pet Shop, limited supply... act fast
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
Intersting. It was working on Brick Bank at least earlier this morning. But the discount only came out to 15% off, so I passed. At this point I'm trusting that we will see all the modulars at at least 20-30% off eventually.

Not eligible for the #10220 VW camper van or the #42053 Volvo EW160 excavator. Does work on the #42039 race car though.

Well I got two #76057 Bridge Battles to MOC a bridge with. Will probably sell or trade at least one set of figs if not both so it will be really cheap for 2000 parts.

Works on the passenger train.  If you missed on the deals earlier, it is listed for $105.  Minus $25, it comes to $80.
  • teal93mr2teal93mr2 Member Posts: 1,017
I was able to combine #76055 and #76049 for a total of $74.08 with Red Card discount - 47% off MSRP.
  • krklintkrklint Member Posts: 502
I did the same with the Avenjet and SW resistence x-wing. Add on the Red Card for 5% off and paid $77.35 with tax. The Passenger Train doesn't seem to be show up in my search now.

Where is this on the site?

I searched for lego dimensions.  When you see one that has supergirl for ps4, it directs you to add it to your cart to see the price.
  • LegogramLegogram Member Posts: 321
@black_towr  I just checked target, and it is no longer available for shipment.  I show 3 copies at my area stores that would be available for pick-up.  Did you find it in your area?

    These Target deals are CRAZY...

Parisian Restaurant for $135...not including red card 5%

Cheapest (US) on Bricklink is $160...

You could get lucky getting one for $140-150 via eBay, but this is a nice, "guaranteed" way of getting it.
  • dspigeldspigel Member Posts: 478
I can't believe these deals. I never thought I'd buy half the sets I've got this season. I'm afraid what the next two weeks will bring in last min specials.
  • prevereprevere Member Posts: 2,923
I wonder if these sales are the result of over-buying on the retailers part? And will that mean we'll see a substantial swing in under-buying for next holiday season?

You are correct. It doesn't work. I got too excited and didn't try it til now.

Admins (@Huw et al) you can delete that post as it is misleading.

The deals are just too good lately. Got the tractor in one order, a great deal at $80 off with Red Card, did another order with the City VIP Private Jet, which is already 40% off, and Spider-man Bridge Battle, which is already 22% off. Factor in Red Card and it's almost half off that pair of sets ($78 for $150 retail value).

My my wallet hates me lately because I also partook in the 20% off Wall E and Maze at the LEGO Store, plus the 20% off Ferris Wheel, and I also recently bought Sydney Opera House and Helicarrier, knowing the first is retiring and thinking the second will soon.

Its been hard to avoid all the other awesome discounts on City sets, but I've been able to so far.

I was thinking the same thing. So many of the Targets near me have an over-abundance of not only a lot of 2016 sets, but also 2015 ones.

Picked up Batcave Break-In 70909 and one CMF to get me over the $100 mark for the $25 off plus Redcard 5%. I don't usually buy newly released sets right away but that's a decent discount & it'll look great under the tree for Xmas.
Now PLEASE stop pointing out more discounts! (unless you see another really good one)

I probably won't have the budget anyway (so many sales lately!), but I want to be prepared.
Are those coupons in their weekly flyer or from somewhere else?
I'll shop around online. At retail I'd get polybags and/or CMFs, especially to reach the threshold.
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,833
The coupons are in cartwheel, and they probably have sign in store to text to phone.

For online purchases, it applies the discount automatically.
In store, like @gmonkey76said, signs all over the place. If you don't have the app, text TOYS10 or TOYS 25 to TARGET.

Spider bridge is around $57 if you buy two and use redcard. considering tax on $99.99, that's nearly 45% or more. not likely gonna  find that unless you get lucky with clearance.

Yeah that is what I did. I don't think I will be content with an 8 wide bridge though so it will end up being a huge project I imagine.

Spider-man Bridge Battle down to $68.99. Target offers price matching for the before applicable promotion price, so if you bought at the $78.99 price, they'll price match it to $68.99 ignoring any promotions. Simple 2 minute online chat.

I assume terms and conditions say the $10/$25 coupon doesn't apply to price match? For example, we won't be able to call Customer Service and ask for a price match to Amazon's $58.99 price, and then expect a $10/20 coupon depending on order amount?

@nuttamastabuilda & @Ma1234 I was wondering this same thing. Will they adjust the price with the promo?
