Just bought a few Final Duels from Target.com for $56 and each came with a free Deep Sea Scuba set. Great price and with Red Card, Ebates and a free set - I'll take it!

Electronics desk clerk said they were out of reindeer and weren't getting more. I did find 2 #30447, one lying on the shelves and another on a rack of #30279
A display including #30396 and #30399 had been replaced with non-LEGO.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
As for the 5 sets at $30 instead of $50 - #41135 has the best part out value, #76026 is OK but concentrated in a few pricey minifigs, and #21116 #31038 #60079 are only deals if you actually want the set.
  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
I'm interested in both #76026 and #31038, and since only the Batman set is available at Amazon, that's the one I'll probably get.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
What does Amazon availability have to do with what you get at Target?
I just finished eating dinner and am leaving for Target and WalMart ASAP. I should get there at 7 something rather than right at 6.
I'm afraid the $50 to $30 sets will go very quickly like major sports/concert tickets. Target.com says those are only available in store.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,787
IMO Any set that is 40% in Target's sale is a good deal. Same with any LEGO set that is 40%+ off generally, as typically LEGO sets do not get that discounted throughout the year. Even ones from 'meh' themes are still worth in in part values.

Im guessing they meant 'at Target', not ' at Amazon'.....

YMMV on the Walmart DUPLO and Creator sets, same with Target. Some stores are picked clean like a fish in a piranha pool, others have reportedly had nearly untouched pallets of those sets sitting around...

Used all my budget at WalMart, good problem to have though.
The Minecraft, Creator and City sets all part out at less than 2x; those themes often have lower part values.

While that obviously matters for those holding BL or other stores, I think for value of the set itself, again 40% off of RRP on most are pretty good deals. Minecraft Im staying away from because it is a lot blocks as well and not really worth it for me for breaking them up for other builds. The Creator sets though for me at 40% are nice, but just my opinion.

I did say they're deals if deals if you actually want the set. Being a bunch of plain blocks might explain the lower part value and low end user interest.

#42054 the Technic Claas tractor has been $129 online the last two days. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere....but Target doesn't list it as a sale price.

^Wow that is a great deal. for some reason the Target website is blocked for all of Bulgaria now so I guess I will miss it. Need to get a VPN going to pay my red card soon though

Battlepacks (75134, 75131, and 7513) are a steal at $8.31 each. If you have the Red Card, the price is $7.89 (plus tax).

Great deal on the battlepacks but the stores in my area will not allow me to order for pickup.  Not sure if it's really worth going in store and trying to haggle.

#75131 Resistance #75133 Rebel Alliance #75134 Galactic Empire. #75132 First Order listed on website at $10.39. Great deals if you want them, decent deals for resale (but there are better options for that right now). I wish they had 3 or 4 of the same figure, rather than 2-1-1.
15% off Sunday or Monday excludes LEGO. Of course. :(

  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
15% doesn't apply to LEGO, but it does apply to plastic tubs I use to store pieces. I bought a bunch the last time they were on sale, but my inventory keeps expanding. These are the same ones, which helps stacking, but different color lids, which I can use to sort.

Are there not any Lego Cubes for this year?

I though those come out in the Spring?

Also, Target still has Pet shops, but for $145.99; they appear sold out at LEGO [email protected], Amazon, and Walmart though (I do not count 3rd party sellers).

The cubes have typically come out just before Christmas. however,  the last one with Lightning Lad was revealed about a year before release. And we haven't seen anything else leaked, so... It is improbable. But it would be welcome!

Saw two of the technic Porches on the end of an aisle at the Tustin store near the Orange mall in OC, CA for $210. No interest to me and not sure of the RRP but thought might interest someone

That's 30% off, and likely an on-line return. Great deal if you can find it. On similar items, I've had no trouble returning them if they were tampered with.

#60080 after %5 redcard is 48% off.  Whoa

  • ColoradoBricksColoradoBricks Member Posts: 1,659
Target has 10% off Gift Cards today. They can be used starting tomorrow.
If you use them for online shopping (unlike in store), the 5% red card applies on the whole order, just not the balance paid with the Red Card

Anybody knows how to buy multiple Target gift card? I vaguely remember it can be done by check out as guest but don't remember the detail.
  • Final_SignFinal_Sign Member Posts: 101
Target online has some crazy good deals today.  They have a 20% sale on all Star Wars, City, and Friends LEGO sets but for some reason its better than 20% off online.  Maybe its stacking two 20% off for about 36% off?  Not sure why.  I even went in to a local target and nothing was marked down except for a sign showing 20% off.

For example.  Melinium Falcon 75105 is 95.66.  (normally 150)

Some are just 20% off, but tons are in the 36% area.  Then you get another 5% off with red card.

I did not look at the city or friends sets in detail to see if they had similar sales.

I did buy the poe xwing at the local store and it rang up as just 20% off but they price matched for me at 54.39.  The teller told me today was the first day he was allowed to do any price matching since they disallowed it (even with their own web site) during black friday sales.

Amazon also has BOGO 40% going on today for select City, SW, and Friends sets, many that are also already discounted by 20%.. Wonder if Target is some what price matching?
For the past 2 weeks Target and Amazon have had crazy deals and my wallet cannot take anymore.

I had $83.65, so I could get a $92.95 card. (The ratio is 1 divided by percentage after discount, not 1+discount percentage. You get a discount on the extra you can spend because of the discount, and this is the end result)
I got a blank card from near a register and took it to the service desk.
I won't let it kick around - if I see nothing great online, I'll get some polybags and search CMF S16 in store, which I was already considering.

Today we got a Lego Target catalog with an offer in the back for a $5 gc back on a $30 Lego purchase.  Plan to use mine right after Christmas to get March b day presents... Going to use online since all the prices follow Amazon drops. Just an fyi!

^--I'm guessing because those are not the Christmas bags at Target, which is the bowling alley/lane polys. Im guessing some Targets may not want both sitting around

I was at a Target Store in the greater Houston area today. Sign posted read 20% off ALL Star Wars, City, Friends and Junior Lego sets Valid 12/4/16 thru 12/10/16. I don't know if it is just that store or applicable to a wider area.

    Funny.

just left a local target and that sign wasn't even up.
  • LegogramLegogram Member Posts: 321
The sign was up at my target, but the shelves were pretty bare.
  • WegoFanWegoFan Member Posts: 5
With the exception of maybe three vacant shelf spaces in the City theme, this store was very well stocked; especially Star Wars sets.  Since I just signed up for this forum, I don't know if it's permissable to post the exact store location.

  • LegogramLegogram Member Posts: 321
I've seen people post store locations before, so I guess it's okay.

My local target claims they blitz restock the toy section 3x a day this time of year. I tried to check out the Lego isle during one of those blitz times the other week, and there was literally a flurry of 20 people working there...so I passed.

On an unrelated note, I've found some mixels lately going back to season 5 at my local Target as well. Nobody has series 8, but 7 and 9 seem to be all over the place.

I think my Dentist bought all of series 8 Tuth.  I took one into him to put out at reception and he LOVED it!  Showed him how to become a vip and he ordered as many and as often as he could and pestered me into picking them up whenever I saw them available.  His younger and sometimes difficult patients really respond to the "bribe" given for good behavior!  When I behave I ask for a modular but have yet to receive one... maybe I should look for another dentist.

It came naturally to my detailed frugal self. :)
I haven't actually used it yet, since first I want to load up my redcard and thoroughly browse target.com. I've been busy filling BrickLink orders and otherwise sorting inventory, so it seems appropriate to not get more stuff.

crud, just bought the Ewok Village, and now it is on sale. Does Target do price matching/refunds if the thing hasn't even arrived yet if the price drops within days of purchase? I ordered it online

Target will match a price if bought from Target I believe. I would say contact their CS, otherwise the alternative is to return it to a store and buy one that is on sale now. So based on that I would like ot think Target would just correct the price to you.

    https://corporate.target.com/about/shopping-experience/shop-with-confidence?ref=sr_shorturl_pricematch

says you can get price adjustment 14 days after purchase
in general, they'll price match their own website
usually I ask as I'm purchasing, so I'm not familiar with the details of doing it afterwards.

    -

Had money, finally decided to clean out #30279 rack.
    Got 17 @ $3.49 - $59.33, $56.36 after redcard discount, $60.87 after tax.
5% off doesn't apply to sales tax, so no need to use card for whole amount. The idea is to conserve balance and use up cash.
I charge $57 ($56.36 rounded up), remainder is $4 not $3.87. To get max discount, charge at least the pre-discount amount.
