They are supposed to watch all major retailers for you.  I think there is a way to upload an ad too.  This is exactly what I used it for

Of course the catch is finding them out on the shelves or online before the BF deal. I believe someone said the LEGO box has been removed from the app, not sure about the site (that I think is how stores get around price matching/'corrections' now)
  • 3stackshs3stackshs Member Posts: 299
Bottom right is a way you can upload a copy of the advertisement and email it to them for credit if it does not automatically track it.  takes a couple of minutes.  Probably still easier than trying to fight the rush.

@3stackshs for the life of me, I cannot find #10697 in the price rewind site...weird. I'm still buying it with my CITI card (with Discover you have to call, that's a hassle), thanks for the help!

    @josekalel try searching "Lego classic"

It still didn't work...I made the purchase, worse case scenario I either have to call or return the item.

    No big deals yet.
A whole case of S16, some loose bags and some Disney, but Icm not CMF searching right now.

Was just at my local, and they had #10702 (classic building set 583 pieces) on the floor for $25.00. As I'm not going out to battle the crowds (plus it is a 30 mile drive for me), I'm happy with this set at this price for Black Friday.

Just remember that sets like #10697, and its DUPLO counterpart, will likely appear online throughout BF, and likely CM, for the same 29.99 price when the sale starts online. Just need to catch it when it does occur as people jump on buying those (They were also 'limit one' online last year) You can ship to store (though ensure the store the site picks is the store nearest to you) as well, or combine it with the DUPLO set (or something else) for free shipping.

....and 10697 is $89.99 from a third party seller already, that didnt last long
  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie Member Posts: 1,818
there were two third party listings for 1067, meeze for $89.99 and toywiz for $99.99, posted before the midnight price drop to $30.00. At 12:45 Walmart and meeze were sold out and Toywiz has 1 left.

  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
Toywiz is the only one left for $99.99. I wonder how fast it will sellout at the store.

Thankfully, I was able to make three orders at Walmart (this LEGO order, a TV for me, and a laptop for my dad) which means I don't have to deal with humans at the store later on...that does not mean I won't go and see what is left afterwards.
  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie Member Posts: 1,818
1:05am, ToyWiz finally sold that last one for $99.99 + 10.95 shipping.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
    Well, that came and went.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,788
As much as I really do not like name calling, I have to ask what fool paid 99.99 for a 30 dollar set (heck even the RRP is 59.99)?
What is surprising to me is for as long as I can remember these sales usually went live at 5am, not 12 EDT... Maybe Walmart wanted to surprise people, but obviously did not surprise all.
I still say to watch the site periodically as they popped up last year at varying times during BF (and Im guessing later today as well)

It was on their website or black friday ad that online sales took effect at midnight & in store is 6:00 pm. I have the Walmart ap & got an alert to pre BF sales which had me on REFRESH Multi Tab's ready to go at 11:55 pm
Amazon has it for $50.69 at the present time

Yeah, checking the website seems more feasible than in store. Less disruption to the rest of my schedule. Thanks for pointing out Amazon. $50.69 is very good but not epic, I'll see what else I can get with my Black Friday budget.

Please be persistent and keep checking the website.  Last year they kept coming up periodically on the website over the next couple of days.  I was able to grab one or more last year in the 40-50 range, which isn't too bad for 1500 bricks.

Anybody get any more info on the Green Arrow fig for online sales?

Persistence and luck, honestly. Although, that didn't work for the NES Classic :p

The 1500 piece set is now registering for $150 with a "Price Reduced" note still above it = lol

You have to be Johnny on the spot, but @Rainstorm26 is right. With patience and diligence you may find them at $29.99 throughout the day, same with Cyber Monday if I recall from last year.

Hate to go OT on this, but you probably won't like this answer, but Gamestop promo went into effect last night online sometime (not sure when) and prices were discounted for all the Dimensions sets. No Green Arrow in the cart. However, if you read the description for the Dimensions set itself (any of them) it has a note about Green Arrow being available BUT he does not get added into the cart when you checkout. You only get him 'via online' when the item ships. You also only see him in your order in the order status section of your account (it shows him being added to the order for me). So you can try to buy online and you may or may not get one at this time. The alternative is go to a store tomorrow and hope you can get one :-(
The other catch is that Gamestop charges a 4.97 'handling' fee (at least for my area) so if you order, you can try to ship to store BUT then you have to hope that GS does not 'run out' when you go to pick up your copy.

    No luck so far today.
I put a #75145 in my cart so I can get free shipping if I find one of the $30 boxes in stock. Of course, something else a bit over $20 that's a good deal also works.

I just did my first ever black Friday trip to Walmart.  My store was surprisingly organized....not at all what I expected.  Most of the shoppers were great too.  I actually got the $30 box without any problems.  I think it will be my last bf Walmart trip....quit while I am ahead.  :-)

I do want to see what it's like. Maybe rumors of the craziness are exaggerated.
I just finished eating dinner and am leaving for WalMart and Target ASAP. I should get there at 7 something rather than right at 6.
I'm afraid the big deals will go almost instantly like major sports/concert tickets.

Hit up my local Walmart. Had about a 1/4 pallet left of the 10697 left. Wife snagged one for her 1st grade classroom. I had no interest based I find better market values for my MOC bricks on BL. I'll save them for the kids.

Target is next. Want to pick up a set for my nephew...if they still have them.

Yeah, mercifully I still have mine from last year so not looking to get more of them. Was amazed they popped up for sale late last night online.

Again if you cannot find them in store, just watch Walmart.com all Friday and Cyber Monday for a discount back to 29.99 and being in stock... It is kind of like fishing, really have to watch and hope and strike when you get them, but if you cannot find them in store, it is likely your only option.

    6 #10697 and a #10622
Had enough money for 7 so I'm quite pleased.

#76046 for $36.84, had to pass
  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
Just came back from the store, and like many of you, I was surprise at how 'good' it was. I mean, considering it was hectic and with lots of people, no 'crazy' things happened. I was not able to look for the #10697, but I have one on its way and two for next week for in store pickup...

Now to see what I can snag at Amazon.

Was after the MC set at Target for my nephew, but was too late. Oh well. I'm really disappointed in Legos door buster sales this year. Really lame compared to last year.

I don't think those rumors are exaggerated; I think with more mobile shopping and Black Friday pretty much watered down by Cyber Monday and PRE-Black friday deals, WM has to spread out their sales. Add to that the litigation they had to deal with the crowd rushes, BF isn't what it truly used to be (i.e. Camping out at midnight).

you will not find the stampedes frequently as before, but there will still be large numbers of people there: some for the bargains, some for the Christmas season sentiment/atmosphere.

I agree with @77ncaachamps ...Considering the same stuff is/was available online earlier than the 6 pm time, avoided some of us with the hassle of waiting to buy special items...plus, things have changed. There is way more competition now than even five years ago. I also think it depends on the store you visit; the Best Buy near me has people camping out since last week (a waste of time and thus money if you ask me), Target had people making a line already (about four hours ago CST), and so on.

Will the crowds at Walmart/Target/Best Buy end? Maybe in a 100 years, but not in the foreseeable future...I truly love the adrenaline rush of humans becoming animals to try to get cheap shiny things...and being in the middle trying to not get crushed or hit.

Black Friday/Cyber Monday already came and went with the BOGO 40% off sale on already 35%-40% off items on Amazon Sunday and Monday of this week.  We won't get any better than that.  Well, maybe besides the doorbusters at the LEGO Stores this weekend.

Yeah, those deals were crazy this week. Curious to see if the [email protected] rumors for the sets to be discounted are true

All of these PRE-BF sales were to lock up the Christmas budgets out there. Competition was heavy for the early Christmas $$$.

I'm with @madforLEGO: not going to hold my breath for really good deals.

However, if there were going to be any, I think Lego, not the other websites and their BMs, will respond based on how they are tracking sales.

Decided to finally get into Dimensions with the $39.99 Starter Pack. Strolled into WM at 8:30 CT and found the Wave 1 Back to The Future Level Pack, and Jurassic World Team Pack for $14 each. They had the Scooby Team Pack as well, but opted for Harry Potter instead.

Dimensions will be hard for me. I'm a completist, but this stuff is expensive even when it's on sale...and I'm a year behind....at least Wave 1 is still on store shelves!

Yeah I ran out to Walmart for 6pm and got to the pallet of #10697 pretty quickly but it was already mostly gone. I managed to pick up 4 of them as I wanted the wheels and boosting blocks overall anyway. Originally I was going to get 2. Now I'm unsure if I really need all of these, and barely had the space to sort parts from 1 box. Will need to hit up harbor freight tools for cases again.

I know the feeling, I got a bunch last year, but did not know what to do with them as I did not really have the space to break them up for parts, so now I have a few boxes still.
However, they are good sources for parts, so I think I'll just keep an eye out on walmart.com for the #10697 to be back in stock at $29.99. It happened sporadically last year on BF and CM and I'm guessing it will occur again.
