That assumes that I was previously great; I think that is a bit of a reach.
I think just about everything nowadays is a 'reach'.  I'm expecting a call to be HUD Secretary.

Currently looking longingly at my Star Wars advent calendar. Maybe my desk isn't the best place to keep it before December.

Pretty happy really, bought 2x copies of #41572 and 2x of #41574 as I'm liking all the curved green bricks in this series of mixels and with 20% was a good score. Then got home to a postbox full with four Bricklink orders that needed sorting for the Johnny 5 build.

I knew one of us (not me!) would succumb if our Advent calendar was left out in the open, so it's been hiding in my wardrobe ever since! Actually, I pushed it further into the depths yesterday, along with the two other sets I'm stockpiling for a rainy day...

My City and Star Wars advent calendars were too tempting. They're now both fully built. I feel a little bit dirty and very hypocritical complaining about other people I know who want to put up Christmas decorations already.

I don't even know where my advent calendar is. MrsB has hidden it somewhere and I've been very good at not looking.

No Lego advent calendars for us this year, although there have been a number of beauty product calendars arriving in the post. Apparently some are for December and others for January (as January always sucks)

    Exactly the same here! :-)

They were very generous as well, as it wasn't just the odd extra piece here and there... I had an additional 10 2x2 tiles, for example. Thanks TLG! :-)

I'm bummed with my LEGO status of late. It's all scattered and boxed up or getting boxed and moved from here and there and I have not been building every day. Waugh waugh. It's a lot of work to move to a new house with two kids. More work when one is disabled. And the thing is? I picked up LEGO again to help relieve my stress, and with less access to LEGO my stress is up.

But I look for some stuff to do when I can. Screwing around with LDD AND...happy to report that my seeking of parts goes well on the Alien Chestburster. I am still cheesed off on that 8x8 disc. Only ONE set had it in dark red? That is a tragedy. I might consider painting one or just doing something really weird there. I should talk about THAT in that thread.

Picked up this awesome little dude in #76063... haven't even built the racers or Captain Cold. XD Just really into The Flash show right now (only S1, but hey I'm catching up). Luckily I had an EMT standing by to swap out the legs. :D

I'm building a wall (of inventory sets), and it's going to pay for itself (in a while).
Well, technically, I'm reorganizing and trying to fit new sets in, but still.

I ran out of space on my shelves 30 small sets and half my Bionicle inventory ago.
Now I'm placing $10 sets on any overhanging boxes...

I bought a large PAB order and was counting and sorting it. I've realized that on this order I got 1 extra of every small item I ordered, consistently. Is this the new packing policy? Give 1 extra so when people like me inadvertently lose something and call Lego to complain, they still have the number they ordered? Sure seems like it.
Sounds like the same idea as extra parts in regular sets

I've spent more than enough time talking politics on other sites.

Cleaned out a DUPLO clearance, store employees guessed I was Christmas shopping. I do have 4 year old cousins, so I said maybe, then I explained parting out on BrickLink.

Not doing so great at the moment...
I finished unpacking the minifigs I was selling at BF NJ, and it looks like someone stole both Pythor and Kobe Bryant. :(

If true (if you don't locate) that would suck. It's an awful feeling to be stolen from. Sorry...

    ^A nice start! :-)

I like the cotton / whatever-it-is snow... That's a good idea to base everything on. I recognise what it is, but where did you get it @Shib ?

I'm waiting until much closer to Christmas, before starting the multitude of WV builds with my daughters. Now that I've put away my Minecraft sets, I've got absolutely tons of white plates and bricks, so creating a winter wonderland should, hopefully, be a breeze! :-)

Edited to add: I'm sure I'll be able to pick up a load of the snow effect fluffy stuff (whatever you call it) at our local garden centre, which goes Christmas-mad every year.

Ah, #7119 Twin-Pod Cloud Car - one of my KFOL sets, still mostly assembled.
LEGO Star Wars is my favorite SW merch because it goes with other LEGO.
Speaking of that theme, I just got paid for 26 Stormtrooper minifigs on BL. Problem with having a store is money tied up in inventory, and a lot of that is figs.

@JudgeChuck it was actually something my other half found, I think it was from somewhere like Poundland. Can't remember exactly what it was called (had it for a couple of years) but it came on a roll which just covers the table I'm using.

one downside of it is that it is glittery so there is always little flecks of glitter showing up on the floor now!

I see so much hate for that set online and I don't entirely understand why. It's true that it doesn't have a lot of playability and arguably should be orange or dark orange instead of red, but nevertheless it's about on par with the design standards of other LEGO Star Wars sets of the time.

I think a lot of it comes from the fact that it had very little payability, especially by SW standards- the minifig doesn't even come with a blaster. This thing was basically what it's name says- a fancy, futuristic car.
Then there is the fact that you see them in the movie for a few seconds, and they aren't doing anything there, either.

My status would be "happy by tired".

I just started sorting my minifigures using the Brickset list functionality and I am up to 1000 figures! During the sort I found: bat008: Killer Croc, sh032: Deadpool, sw387: Queen Amidala, sh037: Hulk, all of which I had forgotten about! Now wondering if it is worth selling any of them..

Considering what has been said subsequently, Poundland sell a "Christmas Snow Blanket" which may or may not be similar.

My missing PAB parcel finally turned up today.  Looks like Yodel kicked it between Wednesbury and Warrington for a week.  Before they realised it should have gone to Southampton.  And then used it as a pogo stick down country.

Still, only found one completely fubar piece so far.  The corner Soda Store from the Lego Neighbourhood book is now back on track.

I've just caught up here from over 666 posts, pressing like on posts from over a month ago felt strange.

I'm going to have to get rid of about 10 advent calendar boxes, having to put up two cotbeds in our room means I'm going to have to store things differently.

Just put a bid on something on Ebay that I really want. Fingers crossed...

Also, found a tray of Lego gathering dust that I really should clean up and get into the sorting containers pronto...
