Just got #7119 today 100% complete (used) for $15. I am quite impressed with the quality considering it's age.

    Picked this up at Goodwill.

Not a true find but at $9.69 I was willing to try.
Obviously opened and felt light but

got some lime green plates, and miraculously all the minifigs were there unassembled incl accessories.
Lots of dishes and asst elements.
instructions and  sticker sheet were still in taped bag.

The track and cars were gone as was most of the fun food accessories. The thieves must've known what to angle for...but why leave the minfigs?

must've been a Target shrinkage (opened and pilfered in store).

You're really going for the classics, aren't you! I love those 1999-ish era Star Wars sets. Considering they didn't use a whole lot of non-standard pieces and were very angular, they had a lot of character.

    Good 1st day in London:

The Stratford Lego store staff was so nice to give me an extra London Bus and 3 Leicester Square sticker sheets to enable me to also cover my other London Buses if I would wish to do so. Very happy :)

Thanks to Target, just managed to score all the Nexo Knights Ultimate sets for AU$10 each, so about 37.5% off local RRP, our solution to James wanting to collect NK, as we're already heavily invest enough other themes.

I haven't joined most of you in your pre-BF purchases mainly because of lack of funds, but even then I just ordered:

#60119 Ferry (looks cool, comes with one vehicle)
#76045 Kryptonite Interception (I want the Batmobile and the forklift)

Otherwise, I'm waiting...I didn't really feel like getting more Avenger Towers, and I don't think I should get any Airport sets yet.

    Trip to Bluewater today:

#21017 Imperial Hotel is from The Entertainer, as they finally slapped a discount on this retired set. No discounts on their remaining stock of TLM and Hero Factory sets though...

About the personalised mosaïc portrait #40179 is it specific to the Leicester square store or will it be available in the others stores ?
  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
The mosaic maker machine is for the time being exclusive to the Leicester Square store. As it's the size of a rather large photo booth, I would not expect it to show up in lots of other stores; there's simply not enough space.

    #5004420 Toy Soldier x2
    #40223 Snowglobe x2

Just placed an ebay order for #5000062 and #5001709 (coming in just under the Bricklink price). It seems I have a bit of a 'thing' for exclusive minifigures. Fortunately my attitude towards collecting them remains the same as for the rest of my collection - only buy those I like and that aren't crazy prices...

So November has again been expensive for many of us! And we have not even hit the thanksgiving weekend yet!

    So far this month;
    • Ewok Village
    • Ideas Beatles Yellow Submarine
    • Winter Train
    • Star Wars AT-ST
    • Star Wars Reys Speeder
And now on the look out to expand my display space before I can build any of these!

I decided to get from LEGO store since I couldn't find anyone discounting it at a decent level in the UK after it was listed as retiring. It is a nice set and yes it is overpriced, like all of the recent SW lego sets, but I know I would end up paying even more for it in the future on eBay!

That's a nice dragon! Its main disadvantage is that its torso feels pretty skinny compared to some other LEGO dragons. I've found it can be easily improved with some inverse slopes or inverse curved slopes on its tummy, but as a $30, 350-piece set I guess it might've already been pushing the limits of its price point.

^ The one on mine is silver, I did hold out for a while in the hopes of finding a copper or gold one, but I didn't want to miss out so I grabbed one with a silver rangefinder. Just wish I had known about how ultra-rare DBG ones were, there was two books at Costco that had them, the rest were just boring white ones...

I don't think that counts as it's not an exclusive minifigure polybag.

Perhaps @Huw can explain the definition of the 'extended' category?

@xwingpilot, the extended category is a bit of mixed bag, it shows up stuff like #850425, #850702, #850910, #850932, #5002136 & #5004420 when looking at the category for my collection.
