Went to supermarket for post-Halloween candy sales (scored big there), checked LEGO aisle on principle - 3 #75113 Rey for $5. Usually I don't bother with constraction (hard to sell the odd pieces), but this was good enough.

    Sets that got home today!

The following I bought at Amazon last week when I was visiting my parents; had them shipped to the office and picked them up today:
    - #70734 Master Wu Dragon (for my growing dragon collection. "Thank you" brickseters for putting me on this path)
    - #60103 Airport Air Show
    - #41129 Hog Dog Van (will replace pink bricks to make it more City-friendly)
    - #10249 Winter Toy Shop
    - #21302 The Big Bang Theory (second set; gonna try to make it a modular-style apartment)

Stopped at my local LEGO store after work today:
    - #21306 The Beatles: Yellow Submarine (I think it's the first time I make a day 1 purchase)
    - #40204 Pilgrim's Feast
    - #5004420 Toy Soldier ornament (promo)

    Then stopped at TRU:
    - #75158 Rebel Combat Frigate
    - #5004408 Rebel A-Wing Pilot (one free as promo, one at $4.99)
    - #30399 Bowling Alley (two at $3.99 ea. - No set I wanted to get one for free)
Got the $25 gift card promo (not pictured) as the total was $100.96, and used two $50 gift cards I got from eBay at 20% :-D

    Good LEGO day.

I pushed the button on #60097 City Square from Amazon.co.uk yesterday for £84.67. I should have bought it a while ago, when it was £79.97, but it's still a good price.
I also bought #71004 Larry the Barista and #40122 Trick or Treat Halloween Set off eBay and am also waiting for a few CMF series 16 minifigs, which will fill in the gaps of the ones I want:
    Hiker
    Wildlife Photographer
    Penguin Boy
    Babysitter
    Mariachi

I'm utterly useless at feeling bags so, apart from finding the very easy Banana suit guy, I ended up with 2x Scallywag Pirates, Ice Queen and Rogue, none of which I want... heaven alone knows what I thought the Ice Queen actually was... ;-)

I envy you...been wanting to get #60051 but I've been hoping it could go lower in price than it is currently at Amazon (since it says it's been lower before).

Ninjago Brickmaster updated and expanded, and Friends Brickmaster Treasure Hunt in Heartland City were each $7.99 at Ollie's discount store.  They also had a Chima Brickmaster, but I didn't notice the name of that one.

    (@JudgeChuck)

I weirded out my son last weekend by doing an impromptu 'How to Feel Polybags' workshop at my local Lego Store.  A very polite mother was looking for the missing 'figure men minipeople' as a surprise for her son.  After going through half a case and verifying all of the figures on the first try, she was happy, as were a couple other customers looking for Penguins, Rogues and Babysitters.

As an aside, my local Store was flush with S16 Minifigs and Disney Minifigs.
Still waiting for the Disney series to reappear here, blinked & missed them, S16 on the other hand, seems like the stores ordered like double or triple the amount, because there are still have unopened boxes in all the TRUs around here.

Ordered the missing pieces for my #7750 Steam Engine from BL today. Was rather pricey, but would be a sin to not give this train a 2nd life and not have it go round my track again because of 4 missing pieces... (1x 4092, 2x 4180c05 and 1x 4022)

As it was down from £69.99 to £49.37 at Argos and in the 3 for 2 and MrsB gets discount on top I now have Misfortunes Keep. So with the exception of one polybag I've completed the skybound theme. Although I do have to wait for Christmas for the lighthouse siege.

I'm almost with you, as I just need the following to complete Skybound:

    #5004391 Sky Pirates Battle
    #853544 NINJAGO Accessory Set
    #70600 Ninja Bike Chase

I have #30421 and #30423 on their way to me from eBay sellers. :-)

certainly not as exciting as some of the things I see on here, but I finally got around to ordering #75146. S@H was sold out so I bought from amazon. Also picked up #75082 since it is nearing that two year mark, and it was on sale. And I picked up a First Order General poly at TRU
  • JudgeChuckJudgeChuck Member Posts: 1,591
I actually bought something last night that I never thought I would - a constraction figure!
In general, they don't do much for me, but I was passing our local Tesco store and, as Sainsbury's LEGO selection was pretty disappointing, I thought I'd pop in and have a look at theirs.
Well, it was even worse than Sainsbury, but I found myself idly having a look at #75111 Darth Vader, which they had for a bit above £17, which isn't too bad a price. And I bought it!
I quite enjoyed the internal build, as it's very Technic-ey, of course, and clipping on all the body parts certainly brought the figure to life.
It's certainly an imposing figure and the cloak is excellent, but my main complaint is that, although it's moulded brilliantly, his head looks too small!
I might be tempted to get #75114 First Order Stormtrooper and #75112 General Grievous, as they also look good, but I don't think I'll be tempted by any of the others.
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
^ I had a similar purchase a few days ago - Vader was my first a while back when Smyths had a cracking offer on it. He, the droids and the troopers do seem to lend themselves to the Constraction look more - I think that the unarmoured human characters look plain weird and would skip those.

So  back to the point, the other day on the Tesco 3-4-2 I got Grievous (I'm not a PT fan, but Grievous is the best looking constraction figure out there IMO), K2S0 and Death Trooper from Rogue One. Trying to resist building them as I need to get on with my extended 60s Wayne Manor/Batcave.

While I'm not trying to complete the theme like you and @TheOriginalSimonB, I do LOVE the Skybound sets, and tend to pick up all the flying "ship" ships. :) Those last two polybags are tied at the top of my want list, with the Misfortunes Keep coming in at a close second.

    Just sutt'm about Asian-deco'd flying pirate ships I can't get over! :D

^Agreed 100%! They meld so very well. And if I were a parter-outer, they'd go over BIG in that area too... just can't bring myself to disassemble (Johnny 5) my sets!

Currently acruing parts a build the nebulon frigate. Lots still to go. The below is from my loose lego (not going to raid my sets). Off to brick link i go for the rest...

Got #31051 Lighthouse Point today and just finished building it. Really nice set; love the Orca. Would like to make it taller (the lighthouse, not the Orca), but don't think it is worth buying a second copy of the set... who am I kidding, will probably end up doing just that; besides, two Orcas!

Already have #75903 Haunted Lighthouse, so I guess it makes sense to get #70594 The Lighthouse Siege, right? RIGH?!

Last week's Lego haul; Scooby-Doo theme now complete!

Congrats on completing the Scooby-Doo theme! I like it a lot, particularly the lighthouse; after the Mystery Machine, of course.

I'm hoping to get The Simpsons sets later this month, or at least one of them.
  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
@JooTog With the Kwik-E-Mart I now have The Simpsons theme completed, including both CMF series. Didn't build #71016 nor the house yet, and might not for a while, but is one of those sets I would regret not getting if it were to retire. Supposedly TLG's license for The Simpsons runs out at the end of this year, so these sets might not last into 2017.

@stlux A manager at a LEGO store did say he was expecting The Simpsons House to retire but he said nothing about the Kwik-E-Mart which I haven't got yet! I will have to keep a careful eye out since I don't want to miss out on that before it retires.

You very possibly did Sean :) Yeah, I got a little lucky with the Green Arrow's but it took a lot of time and a lot of swapping cards.

For anyone intrigued by the video you can see it on my youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/brickarena

Toys R Us has 20% off several themes and an exclusive Ninjago minifigure with purchases of $30 or more this week, so my brother and I picked up two of the Toys R Us exclusive sets on our wishlist—Samurai X Cave Chaos and The Black Knight Mech. We also got some of the new gel pens and a pencil case, and picked up the Lego pop-up book at Barnes & Noble.

Have bought the No Starch Press set of Lego books in the current Humble Bundle deal, as highlighted on the Brickset front page and by @erequena here on the forum.

Had been wondering for a while about purchasing some of these books to get inspiration/learn building techniques, so great opportunity to finally check them out.

Me too. I'd had some of them on my Brickset wants list anyway, and buying them digitally means I can stop casting worried looks at the Lego section of the bookcase, which has grown fourfold in the last year...
  • khmellymelkhmellymel Member Posts: 1,314
Me three!  I've got a couple of the books already but I'm really trying to cut down on owning so much "stuff" so having them available digitally will be great!
