@BrickDancer and @VorpalRyu Saw the film late last night, got loads of ideas for modifying #76060 that I bought a couple of months ago and was saving until I'd watched the film. I think its still going to be built as a floor in my modular cafe, to go above the Big Bang Theory lounge on the first floor. Just need to do some planning first.

Bit of a good LEGO week already. The Caterham set arrived from S@H yesterday, needs wrapping and hiding away for my brother for Christmas. Came with yet another London Bus (might sell this one on) They also threw in some free stickers for the Leicester Sq shop to decorate the bus and #30472 Parrot polybag (makes a change from another Spiderman one!)

Then we saw some of my daughters little friends today who had been to Bricklive, they decided I need to go with them next year and brought me the Qunijet polybag as a present.

A trip to TRU tomorrow to see whats in the Bricktober event might yield yet more goodies!

After a week away from home (not going back until Monday), I'm suffering from LEGO-withdrawal. LDD worked the first few days, but nothing can replace the cold, hard feeling of a brick in your hands and the wonderful *click* sound of blocks interlocking. *sigh*

So while at Target today, bought #70324 Merlok's Library 2.0 at 20% off. Cleaning up the dinner table to immerse myself in the joy of brick-building :-D ...and enjoying a 'Not Your Father's Root Beer' ale.

@Speedman29, I have plans, once I get a few other things out of the way, to fire up LDD and design several of the more iconic Marvel buildings/landmarks at Modular and Architect scales. Hopefully all the parts required will be available in the needed colours, I want to have a Sanctum Sanctorum in my Modulars line up.

I am going to the Lego Store today, and even though I don't have the amount of money I was hoping to, due to my boss foiling my attempt at overtime, I only need $16 in VIP points to get another $5 in rewards so I'm covered. The main reason I'm even going is that I need to take my Dad to have his phone looked at and the Microsoft store is in the same mall.

Apparently. Heck, even Microsoft forgot they made Windows phones for most of last year...

Hey @flord ! Leave the Zune alone...it was honestly a great mp3 player with a better UI than even today's iTunes.

Anyway, status: Disappointed, since yesterday I went to a couple of Walmart stores and found no LEGO sets in clearance. I'll try another one today as well as a Target store, maybe I'll find something there.

Happy today as I've built the example models for November's building contest, done a load of sorting and integration of 70s and 80s plates in with new bits and still got Tiger Widow Island to build later.

Thats a really nice build, glad your perseverance has paid of as it looks amazing.
Be really nice if Lego had produced a recordable sound brick for some appropriately sounding spooky music while it's going.

Went to a cousin's wedding today. LEGO relevant because:
My gift was a #40165 Wedding Favor Set. My card note included something like "even without my signature, you could probably tell who this is from". (I've gotten DUPLO or LEGO for a lot of my cousins)
The groom and his party wore chromed LEGO accessories - 2x2 brick cufflinks and 1x6 plate tie clips - http://www.mediafire.com/view/9egn7s7468fiehp/
There was a LEGO cake topper - http://www.mediafire.com/view/8cs9lln4jkrzcik/

My wife had that, I think it's still somewhere in our storeroom, together with the Palm Pilot PDA, and most of our old phones like the Sony Clies, Palm Tx, and Nokias.

^ @Reece - I only recently finally got rid of a Nokia Communicator 9290 that I used in 2002-2004 Magnificent phone, terrible hammer.

But it played MP3s, so I was the only person with a truly customized ringtone.  Total waste of money...

My Lego status is that I'm waiting on my Tesco haul to turn up at the local store for collection. Just ordered some Yellow Submarines too but they won't be in store until Tuesday. Was planning on spending quite a bit at Lego store this Saturday but may need to recalibrate due to Tesco's 3 for 2 this week. I'll also need to consider how to get a couple of big boxes in the house and up to my Lego attic without attracting to much attention from my other, and better, half.

@iso3200 looks great, I'm glad your perseverance is paying off!

I've just built the Big Bang Theory set and watched some episodes. Never watch TV and build but this seemed appropriate + I needed to know what the heck I was building ;) funny how a Lego set is actually making me watch the series instead of the other way around.

The boys are out on a trip so got a nice sunny Sunday of twiddling with bricks.

Question: one of the heads (Bernadette) is stuck on the torso, can't get it off, not even twist it around. So half her face is hidden behind her hair. I've solved it by placing her at a bookcase for the moment but anybody had this happen and got any tips?

^ Warm Bernadette up in a glass of warm/hot water for awhile. Will help reduce the clutch.

I got the set when it was first out, big fan of the series and really wanted it, but I was struggling to figure out where to display it....

....I've got a cafe in my Modular street with an empty first floor, fitted in with minimal adjustments.

This evening I built #76060 from Dr Strange, this will hopefully get the same treatment as TBBT lounge and become the second floor of the cafe.

Checked Pet Shop availability at my local shop on-line, and saw it was out of stock. Thinking I was safe from overspending I went there to get some smaller sets, and guess what I saw on the shelf? So now I'm up one #40228 Geoffrey & Friends, one £15 off voucher for December, and down on the bank balance.

Everyone knows the Pet Shop is going to soar in price, isn't it?

I was going to post my Lego status, so here goes.

I bought a large PAB order and was counting and sorting it. I've realized that on this order I got 1 extra of every small item I ordered, consistently. Is this the new packing policy? Give 1 extra so when people like me inadvertently lose something and call Lego to complain, they still have the number they ordered? Sure seems like it.

Also, debating buying the UCS Tie Fighter, which is finally (not much) on sale at 15% off. I have not budgeted for it. There is still Black Friday, Christmas, and then January clearances to consider.
