<Picks up a hover horse to examine it, drops it, and inadvertently fires a projectile clear across the room where it lands, according to the various bouncing sounds, somewhere inaccessible behind the TV.>
Current status: I got my pitchforks from Bricklink!!
Also questioning my sanity and level of addiction since there are 10 unbuilt sets now in my room. I don't know when I'm going to get time to build those and a separate Christmas display MOC I planned to do
Which I'm pretty sure is the reason I've just built this...
Welcome to the club! I have 90+ unopened sets waiting to be built (not for resell). They range from City starter sets all the way up to the Death Star, Ghostbusters Headquarters and Disney Castle.
This is what I got so far this within the last month :D
Also, my mother tells me we are having a cold front so I hope you brought a jacket!
I'm on Katy visiting my parents (it's my mother's birthday next week). I will need at least some Mixels to keep my building-fixed :-O
Only place like that near me is in the Valley
Vacuumed up pieces 3 times and had to dig them out of the vacuum bag.
Putting some sets in storage as a change of pace in general and to make room for Brick Bank. Partially disassembled, bagged, labeled, put in regular box.
Just had to do an unexpected clear out of my Lego storage space. The wife is aware I have about 50% of it, the kids cant see it, no other storage space and I had about 5 mins to hide them!
needless to say I may be in trouble when I get home :(
on the plus side the gas man turned up before I left, if the wife had to clear out the space I would definatly be in big trouble.
Tragically, it was rendered irrelevant when the borrowed machine expired in a puff of smoke and a whiff of burning plastic - turned out the owner had herself been given it by someone else, and hadn't yet used it, so nobody realised that the motor was just waiting to burn out the moment anyone plugged it in and used the pedal... I guess there are some things even Lego can't fix!
LEGO side of brain immediately said "we really should buy the other Scooby sets."
Logic side of brain said "we already have the whole gain, we don't need those other sets."
LEGO side: "we should just check the prices, you know, just in case."
Logic side: "okay, but remember, we don't need them."
LEGO side: "ooh, look, sale."
Logic side: "well, it's hard to argue with that."
I hate them both.
what you have there in that image is what Lego call... well "Lego" Now.
or as i call it Old Technic. as what lego sale as Technic today has almost no Stud's.
it's all Technic pins now..
and the old Technic or Technic brick if you like. can be seen more in the normal Lego set's. normally in any star wars ship set. acting as the back bone of the main ship frame.
if you gave that to most kid's (who's mom or dad is not a AFoL) and said this is Technic that Kid would say "no it's a Lego brick" and hold up a Technic beam and say "this is Technic."
*steps down off the soapbox.*
ok i feel better now i have had my What can you call Technic rant.
*wonders off thinking what will we call Technic in 10 years time.*
Well either the wife didn't notice the massive pile of boxed sets in our room or she didn't care, I wasn't going to ask which! Everything away now but did a quick mental count on current value, not massive but easily 100% profit to be made. I cant see me ever having a lotr display but cant bring myself to part with them.
The Saturn V might be interesting.
Add a layer of Kragle between everything, and the parts will break before the connections...
