    @allmybricks call S@H. I placed an order right for one right after it was taken off the Lego website. I don't know if it will ship, but at least I tried.

    I think someone ordered like 20 and took them all because there was no limit on how many to get and all it takes is one super hoarder to see this post and buy up the stock.

    Shame it's not in the UK :( Does anyone have any idea how much shipping would be if I asked my long suffering US contacts to pick one up for me?

    I'm guessing they just had a pallet of these so it doesn't take many orders to run out.

    I didn't order any myself, I just posted the deal (along with DavidRod)...was very tempted to though!

    I got an email saying the item is currently out of stock and I will have to wait for it to ship. It sounds like this is not going to ship so I think I might buy one on ebay. Oh well, I was already looking there anyways

    Or 20 different people saw this post and ordered one each. Or maybe they actually had 300 left and 150 people ordered two each. I don't think we can pin all of our bad luck on the super friends...er...hoarders.

    Yea, you win some and lose some. I don't really blame anyone, but myself. I took too long contemplating the shipping cost and paid for it in the end. This set is too cool to pass on though. Hopefully I will score at a Walmart tomorrow and make up for my loss today. :)

    Fire Temple is back. Its been gone for a while, since Christmas Lego said. Red box so maybe its just extra stock? Been little bit over RRP on Ebay, only set left with dragons. Anyway, picked up a few yesterday at the Lego Store. S&H has them too.

    My Public Transport sets shipped this morning from Lego. Comes with a free city poster...better than nothing I suppose.

    But I was in my local TRU this morning, found a mint condition Public Transport on the shelf, all by itself...

    I had to return something, so I used a $5 off to get it for $95, plus some store credit...

    Sheesh... Thought those were long gone... :)

    ^ If anyone is going to have them, it's going to be B&M Toys R Us stores. They never discounted these (you know... $5 off clearances :P), and my local stores had over a dozen as recently as the end of last year.

    ^^ They are still available on-line. I've been waiting for a BOGO. Probably shouldn't hold out for that anymore though.

    ^ Yep, one of my local stores had about a dozen a couple of weeks ago. I just checked their inventory on-line and they appear to be gone now.

    my local TRU had one on the shelf a couple weeks ago, but not the last time I went in.

    Funny enough, I received my shipment confirmation from lego about 5 minutes after posting that I hadn't received anything yet.

    I still shudder at the thought of this set and how I was able to get it and to save some shipping I was forced to go for it without the Box and got it for 80 USD, but sold it as Used to someone I know then got another one from Ebay for 90 USD without the Box again. I want 2 more of these for my city collection (thinking about changing the color of the buses and small cars). Anyone willing to help?

    ^ still available new in box from toys r us at RRP (99.99 USD). as soon as those are gone, price is likely to start climbing.

    Wish I could think of something to buy next month to pick up a bunch of the TIE Fighter poly bags. The only one I think is worth buying at this time its the Turbo Tank but Amazon has the price beat by at least $7 or $8 bucks. At some point could probably cover the difference by selling the poly's but that still doesn't make sense considering the the extra work involved in selling it and driving to the stores when Amazon can just ship them right to my door.

    Anyone notice how they are starting to limit their monthly promotions to only half a month?

    BTW, There's Tower Bridge at 20% off at the Mission Viejo store right now. There's a rip in the box but if you're going to build it would be a nice price with the additional double VIP right now.

    sweet! been waiting for that 7066to hit 50%. What a huge bargain at that price for the pieces alone. Then add in that it is truly one of the best non-licensed sets of the last several years, and it's an absolute steal.

    Also, Thank you @datkidde for discovering this.. Hopefully this is not an error (I doubt it) and they cancel or charge more.
    It was also nice to get a few before the heavy hitters go in and start ordering 10+ at a time.

    @madforlegos: don't jinx it. 2520 Battle Arena was showing 50% when added to the cart over the weekend, and even though all my orders went through while the item was shown as available, they were all cancelled :(

    I ordered... a lot. They were broken up across many orders, though, so none had a large quantity. They were all cancelled. Did you order on March 30th or when it became available again later... April 2nd?

    I ordered on March 30th when it was first mentioned on the home page. Someone with an order of 6 got theirs canceled during the same time frame so I thought it might of been because of the quantity.

    I went to the Lego store to buy ten Alien Defenders during the weekend and was told I could only buy five. Their reasoning was that they are very aware of all of the resellers buying up stock and selling them for big profits. (Their words, not mine.. but it does sound familiar) They did suggest my wife sign up for a VIP account too so I did get my ten at $5 a piece. Also purchased 20 Alien Strikers when they went on sale for 50% off. Have seven Alien Tripods too. They are good army builders.

    I may still get additional copies of the other sets, especially the HQ. I'm not sure what I could do with the Abduction and Motherships. I was trying to think of some kind of base or weapons platform to build. I'm afraid I'm not that creative.
