[Benelux] Promotions

snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
Currently, at bol.com: LEGO Star Wars Droid Tri-Fighter - 75044 for 44% off, a set that's been retired for a while so get it while it's there.

Also next week on Wednsday: one day only 20% off at all the Fun shops and online. They are usually retail, but you might get some good deals.

Feel free to post other promotions when you notice them. One thread for all the shops together should be enough ;)

I like the idea of having all Benelux promotions in 1 thread :)

Dumping all current Lux info here:

Most shops in Luxembourg have started the Sinterklaas promotions last/this week, but most (I'm looking at you, Maxi Toys and Bart Smit) are just charging RRP on sets marked as in "PROMO!!!!!"...

    2 exceptions:
    1. Auchan gives this week 25% cashback on their client card on all Lego. However as all their sets are currently at RRP, this is probably only interesting for the very small sets like the Microfighters.
    2. More interesting is Cora, with several sets between 30-40% off. This promotions is valid until Dec 24. Highlights include
    • #41130 Amusement Park Roller Coaster for EUR 65.95
    • #75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank for EUR 28.95
    • #42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator for EUR 159.95
    • #42054 CLAAS XERION 5000 TRAC VC for EUR 109.95
Some of these prices are lower than the lowest recorded to date on Brickwatch, however they are only valid for the Cora's in Luxembourg - looking at the Belgian Cora flyer (Messancy) ones seem to have these sets priced 5-10% more expensive.

Cora Lux flyer:  http://www.cora.lu/cora/front/popin/displayFolders/issuuReferenceId/5203.do (Lego promo pages 37-41)

Dreamland.be has 15% of all toys from 22 Oct to 01 Nov.
Some of their sets are priced OK-ish, so 15% off could push that into "good deal"-territory.

^ you beat me to it :) Last couple of years you got stickers which effectively got you 5% off extra but they seem to  have stopped doing that.

The fun has a 20% discount day (1 day only) on wednesday, october 26th.
In store and online. Stores are open until 21h.

I ordered the two largest Rogue One sets from Dreamland two days ago. The promotions started today, but the promotion code already worked. I noticed that today all the prices of the sets went up, so I was really lucky.
I got the U-wing for 65 euros and the shuttle for 76,50 euros. This is really cheap, knowing that the sets in Belgium cost 90 and 110 euros normally.

    Very sneaky, Dreamland!
Not identifying many worthwhile bargains after a quick look at their site. Only decent promo I see is #41129 Amusement Park Hot-Dog Van, but as that's a smaller set the discount is not really material vs other places.
The couple of exclusives (Brick Bank/Airjitzu Temple/...) they have could be tempting, but the 15% discount is not tempting enough for me to compete with double VIP at [email protected] and London Bus. Or get them from Germany/Amazon IT instead.

Kruidvat has now "2 + get one 1 free" action running, but it's actually treated as a 33% reduction (often with these kind of promotion you get the cheapest set for free).
Kruidvat has only some starter sets, so not really much choice but I thought it could be nice to known.

How will the FUN-promotion work online if you don't have a FUN membership card?
  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
@Ljosmyndun I think you can apply for one online and they send your the number to use until you receive one. I'm not totally sure but I think that's how it worked when I applied for mine.

    Fun now has 15% off.

Some sets on dreamland are priced pretty good ATM and you get an extra 15% off when you spend 50 euro (+ add the code) e.g. the ferrari (that I think might not be there much longer) #10248 is 80 + 15% off.

You can now gather points at dreamland to get a maximum discount of 15€ in january

Just today: 20% of all toys at Cactus Belle Etoile. Good deal for some of the sets, e.g. the Friends Rollercoaster was priced EUR 66, so very good deal with an extra 20% off.
  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
15% off all toys at Bart Smit this week. A quick browse seems to indicate all Lego is priced at RRP, so better deals to be had elsewhere...

  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
#10242 Mini-cooper at 85 (15%) off + the stickers to get discount in January at dreamland, not a bad price.

Until Saturday Auchan in Luxembourg gives EUR10 cashback (on Auchan card) for any EUR50+ toy purchase. These can be stacked, so EUR30 of any EUR150+ purchase.
Auchan have recently more or less price-matched the Cora promotions, so e.g. that #42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator, priced at EUR156, can be had for EUR126... (Or at least you get EUR30 to spend on more Lego?)
  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450

^you might lure some people ;)

Fun does 15% off Lego (only today) seems like their shops are open even though it's a bank holiday, sinterklaas is even in some of them. The friends rollercoaster set is even 30% off.

    #70596 is 91,79 at dreamland - 29% off + stickers, most I've seen it.
They've got 10% off Lego overal till the 20th so might be some other interesting things around

Some more really good deals on Dreamland (I already got them at a higher price but maybe this is of use to someone): these all come with the stickers

Tower Bridge for 169 euro (@paul_merton you want me to tell your SS about this? ;) )
Creator Camper Van, Ferrari and Mini Cooper for 70 euro

It seems like the Brick Bank isn't available every time there is a promotion - guess that's following the exclusive rule but I thought Tower Bridge was an exclusive too so not sure about it.

    Today 25% discount at bol.com on the advent-calenders (city/SW/friends).
I just ordered the SW advent calender.
    The SW calender is €24,74
The City and friends calenders are €18,74
When your order is €20 or more shipping is always free.

I still had €7,50 in gift certificates so I only needed to pay €17,24 for it, and still qualify for free shipping. Pretty good deal for it, when normally the SW advent calender is €32.99 RRP.

They also have other deals on Lego but I am not sure they compare favourably to other (online) shops!?!

@TheBigLegoski, bol.com is usually one of the more expensive online stores, I would only go there if they have huge discounts, or if you have gift certificates indeed.

Sometimes wehkamp.nl has strong discounts as well, I bought some Nexo Knights sets some time ago that were below or equal to the price of A-tembo (they usually have the lowest price in NL).

    @HenkdeVries
Thanks. I know that company exists, I have just never even bothered to check their website.
Their deal on #75153 for €38,99 seems pretty good (instead of €54,99 RRP).
    https://www.wehkamp.nl/speelgoed-games/lego/lego/lego-star-wars-at-st-walker-75153/C25_K58_K58_709089/?MaatCode=0000&PI=0&PrI=9&Nrpp=96&Blocks=0&Ns=M&NavState=%2f_%2fN-1xqt&IsSeg=0
    That is almost 30% discount.

    ps.
I was just such an idiot ordering #75156 (Krennic's shuttle) at full price (even with triple VIP points from Lego [email protected]) when now I see it €30 cheaper at Wehkamp as well as other sites, especially since I have not even got around to building it yet.
  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
    Dreamland has #41130 for 65,02 that's over 30% off (+stickers)

Fun has #41134 for 74,99, that's only 15% off but this set doesn't seem to be wildly available - anybody know why?

I also found out by accident because the significant other orders clothes there so I checked to see what they offer for me... But the discounts now are for Sinterklaas, so until 5 december.

Too bad about that shuttle, but thanks for pointing it out. ;-)

Just got an email in my inbox from brickshop.nl (a legoshop in Gorinchem as well as a webshop)
(most of their stuff is priced at RRP, though every now and then they have some interesting special offers where they match the prices or are even a little cheaper than those of A-Tembo, contrary to A-Tembo they provide free shipping when the order is over €100, plus they seem to always make sure they have the newest/latest sets in their collection/assortment)

(Too bad there is no A-Tembo shop in Amsterdam)

    Anyway.....
There is a nation wide special offer (which brickshop.nl also partakes in {just like the annual special Duplo days in October every year}) on NEXO Knights.
    25% discount on everything

    Quotation from this email:
Fijn weekend!"

So I assume this offer will also be at other retailers in/from the Netherlands.
Brickshop.nl also ships to Belgium for free when the order is €100 or more. They also offer extra insurance at pay. But not to Luxembourg, unless you fancy paying €24 for shipment and delivery.  ;-)
Still, don't forget to check Amazon because even better deals might be struck there!?!
    ps.
I haven't found it yet, and my French is far from fluent, but does anyone know how much shipment from Amazon.fr to the Netherlands costs? Shipping from Amazon.de to the Netherlands is free usually.

Dreamland also has an extra 10% discount on Nexo Knights, currently (on top of the current 10% Lego discount promotion). Unfortunately that still makes the Fortrex set 15+€ more expensive than on Amazon ;(

-50% on all Dimensions stuff at Auchan. Starter packs were at EUR 54, so can now be had for EUR 27. Everything else seems to be at RRP, but that still results in level packs for only EUR15.

Thanks! I could not find it immediately, plus sometimes when it has been a while since I last heard/spoke/read any French, it is like I am stuck. Like I cannot pull that language switch in my head specifically for French.

Looking good for Nexo Knights this week. Fortrex for about 75-80 euro, looks like I'll finally be able to give the good guys an HQ as well...
  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
@HenkdeVries #70317 The Fortrex has been as low as EUR50 on Amazon UK in recent weeks, so even including delivery charges that beats the local EUR75 offers. It's currently back at £51, but they might do a 50% off deal again.
    HenkdeVries
  • sid3windrsid3windr Member Posts: 1,460
I've been eying it to go below 50€, so I'd buy it. Because I want it, but I don't know why... Don't have other NK, don't have display space... so I've kind of set 50€ as a "nah, it'll never go under that" limiter. Woe is me on the day it'll be 49.99€ on Amazon... :D

Well, #70317 Fortrex is a fun set to build and has a lot of play value.

I bought a second Fortrex for Nexo MOCs on Amazon UK myself.

In related news, Dreamland has 20% off Nexo Knights for the moment, btw. Selection is limited and prices arent that good to begin with though - Especially comparing to Amazon UK.

That being said, a lot of the good deals on Amazon UK are no longer eligible for shipping to Belgium, like #70322 Axl's Tower Carrier for 36 pound. Seems the local resellers have been complaining again. More worryngly, Amazon DE is starting to do the same!

Still - there's other good deals to be had. Picked up a #60124 Volcano Base for 38,5 pound.

Beware of the delivery quality though. I had some truly awful experiences over the past months with Amazon.co.uk: One moderately damaged delivery (all boxed had crushing damage), one heavily damaged delivery (damaged bricks even...) and a third package has been lost (Shipped on the 4th, popped up in Germany 10 days ago and not been heard of since). They seem to have switched from BPost to PostNL for their standard deliveries as well.

  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
@Kerre Always make sure to complain: Amazon is usually quite good at making things right.

On the deals topic: Carrefour in Belgium is running a 2+1 action on all Lego until December 05. The prices I saw were not great, but at least below RRP, so might be possible to snag a deal.
  • AragostaAragosta Member Posts: 9

I think I got the best deals I could get, ordering the SW sets high on my wish list from Amazon.de (from amazon itself not third parties).
The only thing is prices are always fluctuating there, I saw #75150 a couple of days ago for less than €60 (don't remember the exact price; something like €57) but now it is already close to €75 again. I already have that set, plus I spend plenty on sets I haven't got yet, but I was so tempted to get a second copy of it for that price, though I didn't.
Dutch (online) shops really need to get more competitive, their 'special orders' often are just laughable, compared to Amazon.
Anyway I am happy with my score.

Amazon.fr is offering an extra minimum 15% off on all toys for prime members currently. So I'f you're willing to give their free trial membership a go there's some good deals to be had as a Belgian.

On some sets, like #70322 Axl's Tower Carrier the discount is 20%. This brings down the price to about 50 EUR - lowest I've seen delivered to Belgium. The small selection of sets at 20% off includes #75105 Milennium Falcon so it can be had for 95 euro delivered, on par with the best Amazon UK price delivered recently.

@stlux: thanks for that tip. Never considered Fnac for Lego before and almost bought three modulars (Pet shop, Parisian restaurant and Brick Bank) at 25% off. #31050 clearly is a gateway drug. Managed to restrain myself at the last minute, mainly because of the membership (not the price, just the hassle)

For any forum lurkers from Luxembourg or anybody passing this weekend through Luxembourg: -20% on all toys, incl Lego, at Cactus Belle Etoile this Saturday and Sunday.
Most sets are priced at RRP, however this sale makes the ones currently discounted for Sinterklaas/St Nicolas really tempting, with some at the lowest price I have seen so far:
    • Anybody who has not yet bought #41130 Amusement Park Roller Coaster for their daughters/nieces: priced at EUR 67 => now EUR 54
    • #42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator EUR 169 => EUR 135
    • #75151 Clone Turbo Tank EUR 90 => EUR 72
    • #70323 Jestro's Volcano Lair EUR 95 => EUR 76
    • #60047 Police Station EUR 62 => EUR 50
    • #60051 High Speed Passenger Train EUR 80 => EUR 64
Picked up the Clone Turbo Tank for myself ;)
