I have most of my instruction books in ziploc bags sorted by theme. Hard to damage them that way. I have plenty of bags because I stocked up to sort pieces. The biggest bokks are loose and the miscellaneous themes are in a LEGO set box.

I linked to my own instruction solution further upthread as well. I don't mind that no-one remembered it. It's a thick cardboard concertina folder with a metal frame from Ikea (I think) and it fits everything in (over 100 instructions) but the base is beginning to warp due to the weight on top. I think splitting it out into two of these boxes and using plastic bags to prevent creases would really help, but I haven't got the time right now.

Finally ordered Brick Bank! One BrickLink seller had it for $135 sealed but damaged box. I asked if I could get it unboxed to save on shipping. Postage is $9.50 with no other fees. $144.50 is better than S@H even with 2x VIP and the value of #40222
As a money nerd, I was bound to get that eventually, now I can stop thinking about buying it.

Bought #31052 Vacation Getaways on Monday from Target at $42.99 (39% off).
Last night I built the RV; lovely set with a fun build, good looking, and good playable details... so today I purchased a second copy at the same price to build the yacht :-)

Also, succumbed to the dragon-mania plaguing the forum; after work, stop at my local TRU and bought #70593 The Green NRG Dragon at 20% off. Added 3 Series 16 CMF to get the TRU minifigure warriors promo.

P.S.: Not into Ninjago; what's NRG?

NRG=energy. That's about the long and short of it. :P

More specifically, the four original ninja each learned to access their own "NRG" forms (basically converting their bodies to pure elemental energy) when they unlocked their true potential in Season 1. And over the past several seasons, all the ninja also learned to summon their own energy dragons, which are constructs of their elemental powers. Pretty much all the dragon sets from 2013 onward represent energy dragons like this, besides #70725.

40% of my local Auchan's Lego shelfspace seemed empty - probably clearing out before they put up the Christmas stock. (when their Lego offer becomes 2x larger) However for the 1st time ever (to my knowledge) they had polybags. Only #30286 Christmas Tree and #30276 First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter, but hey, polybags! Picked up a #30286 (already have the TIE) to break my 10-days-not-ordering-Lego spell.

I finally pulled the trigger on #70751 Temple of Airjitzu through ToysRUs. I had $55 in rewards points saved up, plus I had $100 in gift cards that I have received from an app (Shopkicks) on my phone. So total out of pocket cost was $52.96. Pretty happy about that.

My local Cora has already all the toys out for Sinterklaas/Saint Nicolas (children's feast on 5-6 December in Benelux countries) with some related promos on Lego. Some sets were actually priced lower than the lowest prices seen so far in Europe, so I picked up the following:

The helicopter will be a Christmas present. The Bucket Wheel Excavator is for a friend who kindly asked me to get it for him when I messaged him it was EUR 159. Obi-Wan' Jedi Interceptor is for my wife. Only set for myself is the Hot Dog Van. But will go back soon as after 30min in the Lego section my wife's patience had run out ;) Some Rogue One sets were also 30-40% off, so will need to have a closer look.
To compensate for the meagre Lego haul for myself (why can all Lego presents not be for myself?!) I got a nice bottle of Akashi Single Malt :)

recently got jestro's evil mobile and the green nrg dragon for 30% off. I thought I saw the rogue one sets with the same discount, but when I came back today there were none.

    Busy week.

Got a second #31052 Vacation Getaways to build the yacht from Target.

Continuing with the dragon-mania, got #70736 Attack of the Morro Dragon 30% at Amazon.

Yesterday got #76067 Tanker Truck Takedown and #60101 Airport Cargo Plane at TRU; grabbed two Series 16 CMF to get the minifigure athletes promo.

Also returned 4 of the 6 S@H orders I got during the frantic Revan promo. I was going to keep 3, but decided that 2 were more than enough.

No luck with #71040 Disney Castle. I will try again this coming Thursday.

Placed my first LEGO S@H order...some $5.99 Dimensions CMFs, #40165 Wedding Favour Set (it seemed funny), a keychain, and my first PAB order, which is mainly bricks for the sidewalks.

Side question: Is there a way where I can see my order online? I can't seem to find it.

No problem! And no reason to feel bad about it... it took me a while to find it the first time. While it's big, I don't think it's obvious.

BTW, the PAB usually takes a couple of weeks to arrive; the rest will ship/arrive sooner.

Oh boy. I've been looking for a way to check the order status on the new layout... always had to go back to my e-mails (which, by the way, link to a page on the old site which then redirects to the new site, etc) because I thought those things were just titles for the blocks of links below them! Thanks =)

Your first order in general or first order with LEGO S@H?  If the former, welcome to the deep deep deeeep dark hole.  There is no escaping!

@piratemania7 It was the first order I ever placed at the LEGO S@H website. To be fair, up to a few weeks ago, I had never purchased anything at a LEGO b&m store.

I feel like the LEGO S&H website redesign doesn't work well, IMO. The top two ribbons could be merged and shortened, since I think they take up too much space and are not as helpful.

@brumey I actually had a hard time placing my order yesterday. I was given errors when I clicked next after inputting my info and then my payment info and then when submitting the order, with 'contact customer service' appearing on my page...but since I tend to be stubborn, I tried several times until it finally went through.

I think the whole redesign is off.  I think the company just exchanged a bunch of problems for another.  Very slow, often times I'll click on a link that doesn't work or takes me to the wrong location, etc.

Made some BL orders for those 12V-era train sets where I have missing parts ( #7750, #7823, #7866 and #7824 ). Once these sets are complete again (at least all electric parts seem to work) I'll put together a train layout so I can decide how strong I feel about going down the collecting Lego trains rabbit hole...

Finally had more money for 50% clearance at Wegmans (local supermarket) but it was mostly gone. Culver Ridge had 3 #31042 Super Soarer; I was thinking of building a fleet of those and displaying all 3 versions. Titus had 3 #70333 Ultimate Robin, parted those out. Both stores had several #75113 Rey, but I'm not into constraction.

    -

These Star Wars ships remind me of #7961 ; someone was throwing out everything but the minifigs. I got it soon after exiting my dark age and it was one of the first sets I parted out.

Just took delivery on the most expensive set I've bought so far, #75827. Damn you Ghostbusters! Damn you double points! Damn you sterling exchange rate!

And an extra double damn you Lego for packing a catalogue in the box with a £5 off a £30 spend voucher for December! Did get the London bus #40220 and another unexpected #30305 Spider-Man polybag for free too though. Ok TLG, you won me over again. I can't stay angry at you for long.

If you sign up at Parcel Wizard, you are given a unique code and an address in the north. You put both on the address form and DPD then deliver it from there to the address in the south that you specify.

I tried it on a smaller order first and it came through with no problems so once the double points started, I ordered the big one.

Both orders only cost €3.85 each for delivery with no problems with the size or weight of the box and no extra charge, it seems.
