I need to sell these sets...

Hey guys I've got 44 brand new LEGO sets that I'd like to sell before the year is over. Here's a pic of all of them:
I'm selling each one of the smaller ones at least $1 below RRP, and the larger ones (RRP is >$40) are at least $4 below. Let me know if you're interested.

and yes the 60130 Prison Island box is damaged but the set is complete, with all 8 pieces bags sealed and 1 instruction bag sealed. All the other sets are in great condition.

I would try Bricklink or Ebay.

Unless you were trying to sell them here, in which case this should be in the marketplace.

That said, I highly doubt anyone here is going to pay nearly RRP for sets that either have been or will be on discount of 20% +
And then shipping on top of that.

If you are trying to get into reselling as it appears you are, you can't expect to sell currently available sets at near RRP. $1-4 off is not a deal, when you can get the same set from Amazon at 30% off with free shipping to boot.  The key is to wait until they are no longer available in stores...then you can get RRP or better in most cases.

Also are you not in the wrong section.  Perhaps try Marketplace!  Mods @drdavewatford , @CapnRex101

    @natro220 is right on.

Why save only $1-4 when I can get them for 20% or even points AND a potential discount with Lego?

Hold on to them. If you need to move them, then sell closer to Christmas.
But you may not be able to move all of them especially with $1-4 off RRP.

Yeah, it's hard to resell current sets. That's one reason I part out. In many cases, you have several copies of the same set, which makes parting out easier. However, City and Creator don't seem to have the best part out value. It can take awhile to get a parts store established.

@KingAlanI Yeah I was thinking of parting a bunch of 'em out. I also might move the larger ones to eBay, and setting the bid lower than the price tag I've currently got.

I've heard that stuff can move faster on ebay for more money even though their fees are higher.
Keep in mind that eBay fees also apply to S&H (blame people who inflated shipping for fee avoidance?)

@Lego_Nerd98 from the sounds of it you want your money back fast, in which case parting out would not be a great idea. If you are willing to hold your investment for longer though, this would be a nice start to a parts store, if you don't already run a store.

@bobabricks yeah I was kinda thinking that. The only problem is, I've got lots of copies of the same set, so I can't part out all of them in hopes of selling them; such as the LEGO City Volcano Helicopter set (9 copies!). I'm sure I'd be able to get rid of a lot of parts though.

Larger quantities of the same set is actually better for parting out. You do want to diversify to gain some variety, but large quantities is what makes it worth while.

Most of that stuff was on clearance at Walmart at 50% off.  I would say that you will have a hard time on any site getting close the RRP on those sets for the forseeable future.

I did say that several copies of the same set makes parting out easier. I'll elaborate.
It's no more work to list. It's proportionally less difficult to sort. Higher quantities of a part can attract buyers.

This. Most people here that are local-ish to you know what you paid. Similarly many BL sellers will have paid the same prices and parted them out, in more professional quantities too, so you will be competing with them when it comes to parts.

If you need the money fast, eBay is the best route. Auction, starting low.

@SprinkleOtter @CCC @KingAlanI @bobabricks Okay thank you for your advice! I've listed two of the larger sets on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/sch/brickstuddy/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=) and parted out some of the ones on Bricklink (http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=BrickStuddy.com&utm_content=globalnav)

Looks like you have the right idea, but...
I'm not sure if the sets will sell even at those prices. I haven't looked into how competitive your part/minifig prices are. I rarely sold instructions/boxes and not for much so don't count on that and be aware that they really increase shipping size/weight.

    For instance Walmart has #70321 , #60129 , #60123 for $39.73; #76047 and #70314 for $24.86

@KingAlanI the Elves and Nexo Knights minifigures are really expensive on bricklink right now, and I priced all the minifigures at $3. I've actually already gotten a nibble on Skyra.

I'm gonna leave all the stuff up, and maybe they'll sell once they're completely discontinued and off the clearance shelves.

@Lego_Nerd98 as I said I wasn't sure maybe they are good prices
