Because of this this I tend to link photos using Brickset's built-in functionality and the static URL from the HTML that Flickr generates. The problem is that this is technically in breach of Flickr's community guidelines about providing a link back to Flickr when you post content hosted on Flickr to other web sites.
Guidelines aside, it would be a lot more convenient to be able to use the HTML that Flickr generates directly.
Perhaps @Huw knows what's going on under the hood?
