the next wave of collectable minifig parts at the Build-a-minifig bar will include the baseball player (baseball hats!), tennis player, tribal chief, hula girl (not the hair with the flower tho.. she had the pop star's hair), the rapper (more baseball hats!), and the punk rocker from series 4 - crazy mohawk. there was also mention of new accessories, but i don't know what those'll be.

I've already seen these in the past couple of weeks at the Lego Store in San Jose, CA. The available accessories were slim pickings.

Yeah, saw them at Legoland and Lego store couple weeks ago.

I guess it varies from store to store. there's a loose release date of this month. there's a date on the store calendar, but apparently it's not a steadfast rule.

    So much for "collectible" Minifigures.

I didn' t think series 3 was much for collecting anyway..

Completely agree with the sentiment. Throwing random CMFs into a calendar, the VIP CMF 'best of' set, the availability of each series long after a new one hits retailers, the appearance of parts in BAM...makes you start to think that 'collectable' is a bit of a misnomer.

Well, they're collectible in the sense that you can collect them all.

I'm not complaining. Even with these BAF things, it's rare to get the complete figure, there are almost never accessories, and there are no stands. It's still most cost-effective to buy the blind packs. Only Series 1 was limited edition. Now they're getting over-produced.

^---- Well you should be able to get a complete figure, but no accessories for the most part, maybe swords and such, but good luck finding pom poms, clown horns and a caveman club in the BAM displays...
    Really the accessories are collectible
