Sheesh, take all the fun out of it for me, why don't ya? :)

That may be true, but boy are these two sets in mint condition. The retail boxes are in better condition than a lot of the new Lego that UPS delivers.

    Oh well...
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas TexasMember Posts: 8,409
Well if those aren't steals, I'm surprised no one commented on the 7191 set that I picked up complete for $250, tell me THAT isn't a deal?

$250 including unused sticker sheet, all the parts sorted by type and color, and the box.

Hmm, I'll need to find an even better deal! :)
  • sidersddsidersdd USAMember Posts: 2,432
^ That is a good deal. I paid $280 for mine about 6 months ago.

Almost as good as the MISB 10189 I stole from TLG for a whopping £99 last year! ;op

Well this isn't much, but I found the first model Millenium Falcon MISB for only $40... Well haven't really bought it yet but my friends holding on to it for me .. Not bad not bad at all considering that it's a pretty big and old set

I nabbed the newest pod racer set of ebay a few weeks ago for $44.99. Box was not included but all bags were sealed and stickers and manual were included. free shipping at that. makes me wonder if the seller returned a box full of garbage to the store.

I got the City Marina for £25 from ASDA living the other day, great bargain.

    I got 3 MVR's at marshalls for 10 bucks a piece...and the ambush one for 5.50
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Member Posts: 4,401
While I certainly appreciate the UCS Falcon I got for $375 and everything I've ever bought on Black Friday, my favorite deal was back in 2008 when I found a 10176 King's Castle for RRP online at a website I think was called Brick Marketplace.

^ I got one of those at Costco for $35 or $39 when it was out. I now wish I had bought a cartful of those.
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
^^ Wow, I remember those at Costco. Those were really only $39?
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Dunes of TatooineMember Posts: 3,639
@canuhandle23 nice one! I think you win the "MVR Award" for that find at $10 (85% off).
  • jadeirenejadeirene US, CaliforniaMember Posts: 475
^^ It was definitely less than $40. Even as I brought it home I felt like I should have bought more, but it was at a Costco that was a couple hours away and I couldn't go back to get more. I never saw those at the Costcos near me.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas TexasMember Posts: 8,409
Of course, if we're going to go back in time... forget the silly Lego...

I wish I could go back to 1998 and buy $10K worth of Apple stock. ;)

    I'd be retired right now...

Guy had just listed an auction that showed instructions/pieces for:

    1682 SPACE SHUTTLE
    6985 COSMIC FLEET VOYAGER
    6971 INTERGALACTIC COMMAND BASE
    6378 SERVICE STATION
    6391 CARGO CENTER
    6392 AIRPORT
    6080 KINGS CASTLE
    6386 POLICE COMMAND BASE
    6381 MOTOR SPEEDWAY
    6399 AIRPORT SHUTTLE
    6040 BLACKSMITH SHOP

I offered $200-$250 for it and he let me have it for the $250 and ended the auction. I paid $50 in missing pieces, which were mainly the 4 plates from the airport and 2 pieces of monorail track. All in all $300. Not bad I think

^ It was an 'under the desk' kind of transaction as it goes. The box was MISB in a shipping carton. Wouldn't have taken it otherwise, or if I had, would certainly have requested some sort of discount beforehand. :o)

I picked up 7327(Scorpion Pyramid) from the Pharoah's Quest theme last night at Target for $50. Half off! I though that was a steal. Took me almost 2 hours to build it when I got home too. It's a pretty neat seat with some great minifigs.

I just managed 10 40028 Mini Hogwarts Express polybags from someone on Gumtree who works at GAME. £4 each! [I just wish [email protected] hadn't started selling them at £3.99 before I posted :(] I could be a capitalist and out these on eBay/BL for a markup, but I'll be nice and offer them in trade to anyone here first. PM me if interested.

Picked up loads of the newspaper poly bags at local toy fair for £1 each, off to Harrogate toy fair tomorrow as the Lego ladies will be there so I'm hoping to pick up some more.

@Matthew http://bpfairs.com/ looks like there are two fairs very close to us this month in Bolton and Buxton. I'm making plans to go there.
Has anyone been to one? Is it worth the travel and £3 admission price?

Nice set. I might be interested if it's complete/near complete wth a decent box and instructions - feel free to PM me when you're done checking it.

7915: Imperial V-wing Starfighter - $15 both in store and online

7931: T-6 Jedi Shuttle - $ 42, listed as 55 online and was 59 at the checkout but the shelf said 42, worker confirmed it and i only payed 42

    ^^ 7931 is 50% off at Walmart :P sometimes more . . .

V-Wing is a little tempting with the added 5% Redcard bonus. Not sure if I really like it or just frustrated that EVERY Walmart has them but not on sale. Some even have it in the clearance isle.

$52 for the batcave shipped from B&N...

My daughter did a good job putting it together today and the reaction she gave when seeing Bruce Wayne change into Batman just by pulling a pin was easily the best part of the whole deal.
