(i need the luck as i dont know if Argos have stock or it's the webpage being a ASS.)
i hope to have a order placed for
LEGO Star Wars StarScavenger - #75147. for £15.99
from Argos if i do get it this one is going to be the buy of the year.
at a whooping 68% off RRP. yep i will be happy.
i been eyeing this set from the 1st time i seen it at the toy fare all them months ago.
So much for sticking to Star Wars and buildings... :-)
Hadn't clocked that Master Wu's dragon was such a large beast, looking forward to collecting it tomorrow even more now! I must admit to being a bit torn as it is outside my usual interests, but then having heard good things from a few sources decided it was worth a trial (especially at 30-odd% discount).
If its going to dwarf the Temple as a result I may have to rethink things a little...a nice problem to have.
They're all fun builds, are of a substantial size and look great!
#30083
#30422
#70599
...
Yeah, the top isn't the best to hang a dragon from, as it's somewhat unstable for a larger dragon.
Next to it, however, most of the dragons in recent memory (aside from the Nindroid MechDragon) look quite well.
If your display space could allow for it, you could always try suspending a larger dragon ABOVE the temple via some fishing line or something similarly discreet.
Also decided I needed some clowns for my future fairground, so ordered some of those too. And whilst I was on BL anyway, I also got the last Simpsons CMF's I was missing.
Thanks BL for emptying my wallet!
1x #70593 Ninjago The Green NRG Dragon.
for £26.99 (rrp is £39.99) a 33% off.
I want Frightening Knight for army building. That store has a minimum buy and I'd want to spread out S&H anyway. I found a few pieces for MOCs, and several bricks for my collection of common shapes by color. That was originally 1x1/1x2/2x2/2x3/2x4, and now also 1x3/1x4/1x6/1x8/2x6/2x8.
- #60047 Police Station at $54
- #75140 Resistance Troop Transporter $35
- #70335 Nexo Knights Lavaria $5 (not into Nexo, but it looked cool and reminded me of Darth Maul)
- #60090 Scooba Scooter $3.50 (I already had another one, but at this price I can't complain)
Earlier I got the #31050 Deli Shop from Amazon at $29.99.Now I'm even more broke than ever. Thanks LEGO! :p
Excellent service from Miniadventureworld on Brick Owl, ordered Sunday lunchtime and here today, just waiting on two more orders and its build time.
Cost of components was @ £16.50 plus p&p.
And 2 of these.
Last 4 parts required to have a go at building #10174.
Also, I got 4 CMF S15 Frightening Knight at the supermarket.
I later decided the bags were a good idea however since the parts were of course already sorted but moreso for the fact that the larger surfaces avoided getting any minute scratches.
Some of the parts don't seem to be available in large quantities and I had to order these last 4 holdout pieces from Germany to get all 4 pieces at the same time.
One week into September, already spent more than I had intended to spend on Lego for the whole month. Yay.
To All: Raise your hand if you are one week into any given month and already blew your LEGO budget.
* hand raised *
Already have three sets on their way (from Jet and eBay) and should be stopping at the LEGO store tonight to get the promo. Unless there's another promo coming up (e.g. @ TRU), I will hold up until October for double VIP points.
Who am I kidding?! Already looking at retired Star Wars sets on eBay *sigh*.
Also, made a small Bricklink order to bring myself up to date with spare sticker sheets for sets that I have. I got a total of 8 sheets, mainly for Ninjago sets, but I also picked up a couple of sheets for sets that I don't own yet, but plan to... How's that for organised? ;-)
I use clean food size bags since they're cheap and common rather than the tiny ones pictured here.
@stevecook132 I figure putting related lots in the same bag also helps check the order. something like "here's all the dark tan"
@Legoboy
I remember someone joking about the cops misconstruing their baggie purchases.
I might separate large and small parts to avoid damage (and keep track of the small ones)
BTW, #60132 Service Station is 20% off. I really want it, but I still find it too pricey.
After today's order, I'm down to 1 Black Widow variant, 1 Doc Ock variant, and the Venom Symbiote.
Was going to leave Advent calendar until later in the year but managed to miss out last year so didn't want to make same mistake again. Then again buying an Advent calendar in September doesn't feel quite right!
The main model using this white turntable base in large quantities would be the Taj Mahal set, which I assume is the reason why the price is high in the first place.
My LEGO status for today is.... I just built these that I bought from @TheMaker37! :)
