^ I looked for #75147 yesterday, 30 mins after it hit HUKD, there were none I could find in the whole of the North East or Southampton/Portsmouth/Winchester way (I have relatives down there that could pick one up - slim chance of getting one now.

Just bought a #70734 Master Wu's Dragon to go with Fridays #70751 Temple of Airjitzu - I'm hoping the former can balance on the roof of the latter to justify this weekends bargains.
So much for sticking to Star Wars and buildings... :-)

Master Wu Dragon is pretty huge compared to the Temple and has no anti-studs on its feet, so it'll be tricky to get it on the roof of the temple. For reference's sake, the Master Wu Dragon's torso is 20 modules (16cm/6.3in) long from the center of its hip to the center of its torso, and the dragon as a whole is 58.5 modules (46.8cm/18.4in) long when fully extended! But hopefully you can still probably find some way to work the Master Wu Dragon into a temple display. It's definitely one of the best LEGO dragons IMO!

    Thanks @Aanchir :-)
Hadn't clocked that Master Wu's dragon was such a large beast, looking forward to collecting it tomorrow even more now! I must admit to being a bit torn as it is outside my usual interests, but then having heard good things from a few sources decided it was worth a trial (especially at 30-odd% discount).
If its going to dwarf the Temple as a result I may have to rethink things a little...a nice problem to have.

I'm a big fan of a number of the Ninjago dragons and have #70602 Jay's Elemental Dragon, #70734 Master Wu Dragon and #70748 Titanium Dragon already, while #70593 The Green NRG Dragon has just turned up from Amazon.
They're all fun builds, are of a substantial size and look great!

    Hanging from the top?

    #30083
    #30422
    #70599

    ...

Yeah, the top isn't the best to hang a dragon from, as it's somewhat unstable for a larger dragon.

Next to it, however, most of the dragons in recent memory (aside from the Nindroid MechDragon) look quite well.

Some of the smaller ghost dragons from the Possession series might also fit. But in general, the Temple of Airjitzu doesn't have a whole lot of roof space (it is, after all, a rather narrow tower), and only a small portion of that roof space is studded. What's more, Ninjago hasn't really had any smaller dragons with as beautiful builds as its larger dragons. I guess there are the mini versions of the Golden Dragon and Master Wu Dragon from #71234 and #71239, but those are perhaps TOO small to really make a strong impression.

If your display space could allow for it, you could always try suspending a larger dragon ABOVE the temple via some fishing line or something similarly discreet.

I like the idea of suspending a large dragon above the temple. Will have a closer look which one I like best. Thanks!

Whilst contemplating which dragon to buy, I have order some #8804-2 Kimono Girls to complete my temple. For what I have in mind those will probably look better than the ninjas.
Also decided I needed some clowns for my future fairground, so ordered some of those too. And whilst I was on BL anyway, I also got the last Simpsons CMF's I was missing.
Thanks BL for emptying my wallet!

Placed my first BrickLink order in ages. (As a seller, I often get personal wants when looking for store inventory)
I want Frightening Knight for army building. That store has a minimum buy and I'd want to spread out S&H anyway. I found a few pieces for MOCs, and several bricks for my collection of common shapes by color. That was originally 1x1/1x2/2x2/2x3/2x4, and now also 1x3/1x4/1x6/1x8/2x6/2x8.

So...I gave in and got the following on sale at Walmart:
    • #60047 Police Station at $54
    • #75140 Resistance Troop Transporter $35
    • #70335 Nexo Knights Lavaria $5 (not into Nexo, but it looked cool and reminded me of Darth Maul)
    • #60090 Scooba Scooter $3.50 (I already had another one, but at this price I can't complain)
Earlier I got the #31050 Deli Shop from Amazon at $29.99.
Now I'm even more broke than ever. Thanks LEGO! :p

Excellent service from Miniadventureworld on Brick Owl, ordered Sunday lunchtime and here today, just waiting on two more orders and its build time.
Cost of components was @ £16.50 plus p&p.

@stevecook132 is it normal to sellers to put each lot in a separate bag? I'm active on BrickLink, use slightly larger bags, and put several related lots in the same one.

Also, I got 4 CMF S15 Frightening Knight at the supermarket.

@KingAlanI - its not normal, but it is appreciated! I've had all sorts of packaging from individual bags in a cardboard box as above, to everything chucked in a one bag in a jiffy bag. Individually packaged makes checking off quick and easy but it strikes me as extra work for the seller...if they are happy to do it though then its just another positive towards using them again.

When I BL'd my Alien and Moulding Machine last year, I found the parts came in hundreds of individual bags which at the time I thought was odd and a waste of money on the seller's part.  My wife came home and thought I was dealing weed when she saw the kitchen table.

I later decided  the bags were a good idea however since the parts were of course already sorted but moreso for the fact that the larger surfaces avoided getting any minute scratches.

As I had a lot of the parts required from other Bricklinking projects I don't actually know how much it would have cost to build on it's own (I would be able to find out eventually but spare time is a bit of a novelty at the moment).
Some of the parts don't seem to be available in large quantities and I had to order these last 4 holdout pieces from Germany to get all 4 pieces at the same time.

Another day, another Lego order... But today for my niece and not myself: #41130 Amusement Park Roller Coaster.
One week into September, already spent more than I had intended to spend on Lego for the whole month. Yay.

That seems to be an ongoing theme here in the forums :-)

To All: Raise your hand if you are one week into any given month and already blew your LEGO budget.

    * hand raised *

Already have three sets on their way (from Jet and eBay) and should be stopping at the LEGO store tonight to get the promo. Unless there's another promo coming up (e.g. @ TRU), I will hold up until October for double VIP points.

Who am I kidding?! Already looking at retired Star Wars sets on eBay *sigh*.

I've just picked up #5003082 Classic Pirate Minifigure from eBay for an okay price, as I already have the Space and Castle figures.
Also, made a small Bricklink order to bring myself up to date with spare sticker sheets for sets that I have. I got a total of 8 sheets, mainly for Ninjago sets, but I also picked up a couple of sheets for sets that I don't own yet, but plan to... How's that for organised? ;-)

Well I found a #8098 for a smoking deal on eBay. I'll just have to see if it's legit or not.

If a buyer gets all I have of a part, I might use the bag it's already in rather than repackage. I might avoid stuffing a bag with many different tiny parts.
I use clean food size bags since they're cheap and common rather than the tiny ones pictured here.

@stevecook132 I figure putting related lots in the same bag also helps check the order. something like "here's all the dark tan"

    @Legoboy
I remember someone joking about the cops misconstruing their baggie purchases.
I might separate large and small parts to avoid damage (and keep track of the small ones)

Picked up both 66542 and 66543 Star Wars Series 3 microfighters 3 in 1 super packs at Costco today. It seems early for Christmas stocking stuffers, but there they were for $23.99 each.  I think that was the price.  I can't find the receipt right now :)

Visit my local LEGO store today after work. Got 2 #40203 Vampire and Bat (one is for a coworker and friend) and #75828 Ecto-1 & 2. Applied $25 on VIP points to bring it just above the $50 for the #70335 Ultimate Lavaria. I'm not into Nexo Knights, but can't say no to a promo when there's stuff I want to buy.

BTW, #60132 Service Station is 20% off. I really want it, but I still find it too pricey.

The last of the minifigs I need to "complete" my Marvel Superheroes minifig collection. I say "complete" because I'm not going after the limited/exclusive/con ones.

After today's order, I'm down to 1 Black Widow variant, 1 Doc Ock variant, and the Venom Symbiote.

I stopped by Toys R Us today to see if they had the new Star Wars Advent Calendar. It was at the store a couple days ago, but I had to wait. Went back and it was gone. They had http://brickset.com/sets/75093-1/Death-Star-Final-Duel, marked down to $65. I had $10 in TRU rewards plus $8 in Coinstar gift credit.

It was an unplanned purchase, but I've wanted #70804 Ice Cream Machine to add to my TLM vehicle collection and managed to pick one up BNIB for under RRP from eBay, so I now just need #70806 Castle Cavalry and #70811 The Flying Flusher, as, when and if I can find them at a good price and that will do me for that theme...

Bought Series 16 babysitter, Star Wars Advent Calendar and Nexo Knights 4 pack of baddies (can't remember the set number!).

Was going to leave Advent calendar until later in the year but managed to miss out last year so didn't want to make same mistake again. Then again buying an Advent calendar in September doesn't feel quite right!

I do a fair amount of surfing on eBay and I bid only one boxes in decent shape. I lose most due to skyrocketing bids, but I get a few at great prices. Plus bricklink has been a friend.

Bought some PAB cups of misc bricks recently, though they're mostly non-standard parts like the turntable base & top, 1x1 tile with top clip, 1x1 plate with tooth, bambo plant, flower stem, wedge plate, bricks with side studs, 1x4 curve etc.

Just wanna add that the white turntable base unit price seems to be quite high on BL, if it is now available at PAB that can be bought in hundreds of pieces per cup I wonder will the price start to drop drastically?

The main model using this white turntable base in large quantities would be the Taj Mahal set, which I assume is the reason why the price is high in the first place.
